I want to thank you Teach for documenting these legendary artists who played such a pivotal role in the development of dancehall music. This man and others were like Gods to me as a youngster growing up. Mi belly full just listening to him give his story of constant strife and obstacles. I am so happy that I got to witness and was a part of this era even though I was very young. This is the original Banton, I would like to think Buju Banton got his name because of Burro Banton. I remember what great feelings it evoke getting the latest copy of one of these dances, priceless. I am happy future generations will be able to look at documentary footage like this and know the origin of our music. Legendary Burro Banton! This a chick a this a chicken farm,mi sell dem live and mi sell dem pluck. Early B the doctor reminds me of Burro Banton just the way they were both able to put intricate lyrics together, very thought provoking. I wish this man peace, love and longevity. Thanks again Teach, these footage will live on long after you and I are gone. Continued blessings and great work my friend, you are a cut above the rest, you are admired for your good work more than you will ever know. Longevity is the name of the game.

Boom wah dis is a greatest tunes period. why ? It keeps the heavy drum & bass with good lyrical content & delivery by burro Think about it . The song is over 30 years old & still is fresh today all over the world

The 'recorded' vinyl version is 30yrs. The lyrics itself is early or mid 80's.

Another great one. Consider adding CC (Closed Caption), it would help reach a broader audience.

It was Jaro first playing those Johnny Osbourne as Dubplate Special from Jim Kelly days about 1981-82, Then Jammys produce Rock it Tonight, on 45 in 5 years after in 1987, Steelie & Clevie produce Reason 1989. So those songs where Playing as Dubplate on Jaro few years before Jammy bring them back out. I never forget those Johnny Osbourne because same as Burro mention, It was those songs draw my attention to Killamanjaro Sound, Theres 2 Johnny Osbourne on Taxi Riddim and 1 on Studio One Heavenless plus more. But those 3 were Jaro Anthem..Mi love dis Interview still, Big up mi Deejay Veteran Lyrics Banton... Teach dem, Up Move Genna

Ppl no know how wicked Jaro was under Jim Kelly. You no hear how Burro tek one listen a skateland and fall in with the sound? At that time Jaro lock off Skateland w/Jim Kelly

@@bundung5463 It was the same time dat hes talkin about, I hear a Jaro cassette with Kelly for the first time. The Cassette start off with those same Johnny Osbourne, I never heard songs like those before, it was a Dunkirk dance at Mckentire Cresent, I still have it in my collection. Jammy only produce one of those songs in 87, And steelie bring out back Reasons 89

After seeing a few recent interviews with the " original Banton" I didn't really want to watch this one as I though I'm not going to learn anything new but couldn't help myself. I had to watch it. Thank God I did. Believe me when i say this is the most entertaining and informative musical history of the Burro Banton " straight cross the board"

Thanks for the knowledge and understanding you brought across to us the fans. The insight needs the aplha and the zenith of each individual for us to better understand the importance of the journey and that is always the greatest parts of your interviews. Thanks teach, it was epic.
