I want to use this to turn on a pump for water cooling my PC. I want to run 5v from the PSU when my PC turns on. I don't need logic control, I just need to turn on the relay when my PC turns on. I noticed that connecting ground to the signal seems to turn it on when my PC turns on. Is that okay?
What I have is an LED controller in the trunk of my car. Battery is also in trunk. Obviously, I do not want power to controller all the time draining battery. I want to use my taillight wire to trigger 12 volts to controller. Taillight is supplying 3.4 volts. Not enough power for controller. I guess, my question is will this Relay work? I purchased it but do not understand how to wire. Maybe I am out of my league?
Hey, can I use this relay module without arduino? For example, I have 12v power source, I connect to relay, I connect a switch between +12v and IN, when I press the switch does the relay activate?
without arduino? YES..use 12V as input to activate relay?YES..is it a good idea to power 5v device with 12v power supply?NO, the voltage regulator need to work harder, even if you modify and put voltage divider, u still have unnecessary power lost.. suggestion: just use 12Vrelay (cost almost the same)..
@@syafiqridzuanable I have a magnetic reed switch, If i put a short strip of LED lights it's working well, but if I put a few meters of LED strip it will fail, so I want to use this relay to bypass the reed switch with high load.
Pop Adrian I don’t see why it won’t work..basically u have 2 circuit..1st is the “switch circuit” low current that the reed switch can with stand..and then 2nd- primary circuit where all the electronic are..Js make sure , when the reed switch is powered, the voltage is high enough to trigger the relay.. in this 5v relay, it must be >3v..I’m not sure abt the 12v model though
Problem is there is not flyback diode on the relay coil. Even though signal pin is isolated by opto, the power path appears unprotected.
Thanks! Just picked up a couple of these for my 3d printer :)

I have a very dumb question, does this need a DC power supply to work? Or Can we just use current triggers to switch?
Yes, this needs a DC power supply to work
What about relay board with now jumper...?
hi, when you give a low signal the relay locks and then low signal again the relay unlocks

and yes, of course I have 12v relay, not 5v.

How to know whether the relay is active low or high?
For active low, relay will active (turn on) when you give low signal. Vice versa.
I didnt hear click of the relay whats up with that?
it's stuck (welded). just hit it gently, should become to normal
Ipo mali?
Smilar to the xh-m213 relay
