In Europe, the goal of the fans is to make the other team know they're on enemy territory.
I’m English (Southampton fan) but have been watching the NFL for the past 10 years and the crowds in the US only seem to make any noise when there’s a break in play. When they start playing again it’s like a library rather than a sports stadium! European footie fans sing chants all throughout the game.
UK do it due to a bad game, a good game, to encourage and distract... just do it it.
Also the NFL crowds, as you saw here, are controlled by The P A System to organize their song or chant (singular )...
0 passion in America. Their sport is much more of an entertainment spectacle rather than a passionate battle between two teams with history.
Buffalo is different. Our Millwall just not at that level.
@@vangledosh Nonsense. These types of comparisons are inherently biased. They cherry pick fan reactions. I'm certain I could put together a video showing American fans being hyped and Euro fans sitting on their hands.
'We lose every week,
We lose every week,
You're nothing special,
We lose every week'
LOL
“Some people think football (soccer) is a matter of life & death. I assure you, it’s much more serious than that.” Bill Shankly.
In Europe sport is tribal, in the States it's for adverts. UB07 1312.
"It's over to your local Sponsor" DURING the game :)
Just have to say that Rosenberg isn’t a Swedish team as the video said, they are Norwegian. And there are plenty more great fan videos from European football.
Du menar Rosenborg but it's true that they are from Norway and not Sweden 😉
@@jaykob87 obviously, I blame autocorrect.
They all look the same
Football in USA is entertainment, while in Europe it is passion
It is both entertainment and passion here in America especially college.
It may be passion here in America, but trust me it’s not even close to Europeans love for their clubs.
@@notleroy3656 are you talking to me or Toni?
@@adambeauvais2013 you
@@notleroy3656 true true but deference is that we don't burn down stadiums or stampeding over people and killing rival fans we are more civilized than violent.
You should see the whole countries unite when there's a World Cup or Euro. People get crazy! Greetings from Croatia :)
im actually in that crowd at the ajax arena, we celebrated the last championship. proud to be a fan. greetings from the Netherlands
To be fair, many actually go to war after the match 😅 It's quite an issues in some cities in the Netherlands
A song by the Italian singer "Gala" (Free from desire) has become the anthem of almost all European fans. Everyone revisits it with the names of their players.
You should react to the original song. it's a 90s disco classic.
Na na na na na na na, na na na, na na, oooom! Classic.
LOL, European football is the bomb., that is war and celebration at once..love from Amsterdam, Holland...Ajax fan
Man, once and for all.
Explain me - what is correct Holland or Netherland?
@@Je1imanek The Netherlands is the whole country, Holland are two provinces of The Netherlands where most people live and where the capital (Amsterdam ) is and The Hague , These two provinces are north and south Holland, to make it easy we tend to call it Holland, but the people not living in those provinces (states) are offended, yet when there is is a football match they all scream " Go Holland" equally, so they are hypocrites. Holland is just easier to use and say.. but officially the country itself is called The Netherlands
@@TheKeystoneChannel ok, thanks:). Greeting from Bohemia...I mean Czech republic...oh...Czechia 😀
@@Je1imanek hahah, interestingly I have a vase from Bohemia, an original and the company does not exist anymore, I don't speak the language but wanted to sell it as it is famous from there and from the 1900s ...nice meeting a bohemian :)
@@TheKeystoneChannel Bohemia is bihhest region of Czechia (in east are Moravia and Silesia)--big rivality
It's a wild perception I notice in online gaming too... USA players tend to favour pvp and individual glory over teamwork. And EU players tend to gravitate toward PvE and collaboration avenues of gameplay. Shows in the crowd too... I don't know that I could ever fully understand that level of individualism, being yourself and having your own life and preferences is good and admirable...but at the end of the day, how can you not want to work together to form something greater... over it?
The VFB Stuttgart is pre-game as you can see, they havn't even come to the arena yet. The march starts usually from a train station or something similar close the arena, depends on the country etc but it is usually the same in the EU countries with the "long" walk with chants and song etc.
Your team, your city, your pride 🔥
Jay, shout out from Stuttgart Germany!! Big fan here of your content and also long time subscriber. Keep your great reaction vids coming! 🧡
US: entertainment
Europe or South America : passion !
It is fun watching you getting energized on this video! 😍🙏
I prefer UK it's funny stuff like fun insults people don't take it seriously they know it's just fun
Wait American football crowds actually DO make some noise on matches?? Wow I would never guessed......
The Thessaloniki video is actually a basketball game. You can find it on UA-cam too.
My team in Sweden AIK was formed 1891 . European fans see there club as a way of life and u support em thru thick
and thin . For us pride and honor is most important . I been with my team for 42 years now and 42 more will come .
Ps Rosenborg is from Norway =)
43 years? That is only 5 minutes. Next May,I enter my 8th decade and still attending Millwall games:)
I live 4.6Km (as the crow flies) from the Royal Belgian Heysel stadium and when there is an official match, I hear the chants on my terrace...
US football crowds are way tamer than European footy crowds. Even the worst Raider fan would seem mild compared to some of the Ultras out there. BTW: You need to be a Chelsea supporter Jayvee!
Chelsea ? Do Ian, Ian Hutchinson, and Charlie Cooke still play for them ? ....
Not since the days of Chopper Harris & the Big Cat!
Hi Steve. I am not a Chelsea fan but my schoolmate was and took me to The Bridge with 58,000 others, including 10,000 Norwich fans to see Chelsea win 1/0 in 1968 and he started making a silly "Bibby" sound as he was a Youth player then. Fast forward 30 years and I went to Crayford Greyhound Stadium and the Race was sponsored by the same Dave Bibby :)Also yesterday I saw Lawrie Sheffield died and it mentioned a few lower clubs and I thought this 80+-year-old played Centre Forward for Norwich that day and I was right which pleased me as he only made 27 appearances for them and they are not my team:) Do you want a Chopper Harris story Steve? One of my customers, now 77, played a decent youth level and was marked by Chopper who wacked him when the ball was down the other end, aged 16/17. What Chopper did not know was that my friend was a good boxer and reciprocated by almost knocking Harris out when no one was looking. Chopper never went near him again and the Chelsea coach said "Well Done" to my M8 as "he had it coming!"....lol
@@Isleofskye What an awesome story! Thanks for sharing mate!
In Greece we shout and yell more about football than we play football
Second clip in Europe part is from basketball game.
In Europe the chants are led by the fans throughout the game.
Some chants are well known but many are completey spontaneous. The crowd acts as an individual.
in the USA, it's a show ; il Europe it's the life
The 2nd European clip is from a basketball match
You need to listen to us Liverpool fans singing You'll Never Walk Alone. This is pure perfection of a family. With our 97 YNWA
Maybe someone already mentioned but the second european one, the one in Greece, the Aris Thessaloniki is a basketball match, not football.
You should have seen an Panathinaikos vs Olympiakos match
Fun topic!
Go TEAM!!!
My husband is Tottenham
His best bud is West Ham
My brother is Arsenal
My nephew is Chelsea
You have to take the good with the bad if your a true football fan 🤷🏻♀️
🤣
When the football’s on us girls go out to avoid the chaos!
😂😂😂😂
I mean, sounds fun honestly. You know when you can plan to go out shopping/do something with the girls.
Seems like a win-win for everyone involved.
Dynamo dresden probably have the crazyest fan base of all sports
You would Love the TIFO-wars we have here too. In Sweden we can't mix the fans. One side is for one team and the other for the opponents and of there's two teams from the same municipality, there will be a lot of feelings.
Also, Swedish hockey fans are great. It's a shame this video only showed Rosenborg which really isn't the best one out there. Check out DIF vs AIK Fans and you'll see some more fun stuff :)
Rosenborg isn’t even Swedish. They are Norwegian.

See!
I've watched UK folks trip out on US football. How violent it is. It's funny af. Never seen this tho
4:13 that one is basketball.
I like to see English doing sweet Caroline all together aww havent done it yet
the one in Greece Aris Thessalonikis is actually basketball
It seem a lot of Americans choose their teams by which big player is playing in it or the colour of their jersey
Didn't know you were an Arsenal fan. Thumps up my dude 👍😁 #COYG
The man says even if your team is losing 6_0 you can still enjoy the game the man has a lot to learn about football coz I sure wouldn't be enjoying a game my team were losing 6_0

6:36 Dynamo Dresden 💛🖤
It's funny for latinamericans europeans are really cold, but for gringos is incredible.
Eeeeurope got the chants. But NFL's a playgame that is played with quarters, stop and play, Two different categories of sports.
There is a mistake in the video. Aris Thessaloniki is a basketballteam and not a fottballclub. The footballclub is namend PAOC Thessaloniki.
The match in Greece is a basketball-game...
the second vid is a basketball game in greece.
Football in europe is religion and passion
I am originally from Europe and people there kill for football especially in Eastern Europe. Americans love football but Europeans are super passionate about it and sometimes it turns into riots and hooliganism which leads to injuries and deaths. Just look up euro football riots and you’ll find some good examples. I was there 3 years ago (in Albania) for FIFA 2018 and literally everyone was outside watching the FIFA matches in cafes and the cafes were all crowded you couldn’t even find a place to sit down.
For those 2 or 3 weeks no one was doing anything but talking about FIFA, watching FIFA, swearing at the other team when they would win even when they lost hahaha and I didn’t even like watching sports so it was a super boring time for me and I had to pretend to like watching because they find it weird if you don’t like watching it.
Forgot to mention it but sometimes when it’s two countries teams facing each other it can get even more uglier especially if those two countries had conflict with each other. Although they are not in Europe Honduras and El Salvador went to war over a football match
Eastern? Ever heard of feyenoord lol they're getting new fines and bans weekly
Love your'e reaction ❤ remember Bergamk
The European fans seem much more violent with the fire and all. Almost like they are mad. I’d feel like I”d be taking my life in my hands going to one of their matches‼️ ❤️fromOregon🇺🇸
Hey man, just so you know, the one with Aris Thessaloniki is a basketball game. 😂
Imagine Apple started making tools for cutting down trees, that's how you pronounce Ajax

in europe you don't pick a team it picks you....

I support Sheffield Wednesday and we're not doing too good but I wouldn't change it for the world....up the owls❤
I'm a Manchester United fan
This is crazy.
You should watch Ultras our way of Life.
Rosenborg is Norway,not Sweden.
Never ever meet an arsenal fan, the fact you thought about swapping teams is blasphemy to any Football fan.
Eur. Football is insane. Had riots. They still have to be policed on sides. Smaller stadiums are more loud. As someone else said u.s. stadiums are much larger with more people so. Sound dissipates upward.
Football in Europe have crazy fans, and the further East you go the more crazy it gets.......to take it up a notch, go to Argentina and Brazil, again European migration started it off, lots of history equals a cause and a passion, see Boca Juniors v River Plate
Great Reaction, as always, Jayvee. If you want to see an English reaction then wait until the new Manager: Eddie Howe's entrance in his first game in charge of Newcastle United, who are now richer than the next 10 Sports Clubs in the World combined, thanks to their new Saudi Arabian Owners and this massive Club with ultra passionate fans have not won ANY trophy since 1969 even though there are 3 or 4 major trophies that English Clubs can win every season. yet still, they used to bring 10,000 Away fans to all parts of The Country by road and rail even when they got relegated to the Second Tier They are currently 19th out of 20 teams and relegation for the bottom 3 teams costs any team £200,000,000 or $240,000,000 every season !!!!!!
ONE YEAR LATER........................ Newcastle qualify for The 2023/24 Champions League and finish in The Top 4 in The Premier League: :)
See you, again,in one year's time....
By the way Ajax is pronounced I-axe 😉
More ah-jaks
Rosenborg in the last clip is Norwegian, not Swedish.
What a cardinal sin to make... Greetings from a Dane xD
Fans are passionate on both sides the atmosphere is just different. Euro crowds are considerably smaller on average. American college football crowds easily approach and often surpass 100k and the energy doesn't look as impressive but you have to understand this video only showed at most half of the crowd
no
go watch liverpool fans singing you will never walk alone
European stadions have easily 40 to 80k seats with many more in pubs and on big screens.
👍👍👍
Usa basket/football its business
Europe Basket/football its passion
Aris thessaloniki
Super-3 fanatics
i was about to say "watch ajax fans" and then it shows up
European Fans dont Need to be animated or a Band or Something.... They do this During the Game all time and Not Just before or after
Falling In Reverse - Zombified!
In Europe its our lives. In the US it's a hobby
No Celtic park sigh !
Another big difference I spotted: The americans seems unable to come up with chants/songs with more than one or two words. Yelling "defence" half an hour is not a chant, it's just sad.
You should react to Southamerican soccer.

What made you pick arsenal not man United like most people including me all my life a man United fan
Man United forever!!
You should check out some of the real soccer hooligans. They have some really bad ones in Poland.
The UK team songs (each have a few) are a riot!!
I can't watch American football, way too boring with all the stopping. But that's just me 🖤

Hello Lesley. Thanks for your comment.
My nomenclature is deceptive as I love "The Skye Boat Song" and chose the name 14 years ago. I am sure it is Beautiful but I live right on the very edge of London having lived near Central London for my first 29 years and then I moved 12 miles away so I can return, as I am half a mile from a South East London Postal District but equally can get out into The English Countryside. How is Toronto and is there a problem with gangs there Lesley ? I had a lovely time there in 1979 :)

I'm one of those irreligious people from Europe, the closest I am to a religion is football.
React to ultras our way of life please
I will send you an AJAX shirt if you promise 2 wear it on screen!
That team from Germany, dresden, it's not even one of the biggest in Germany, they are from 2 division, not even 1 division
Feyenoord(also dutch) we wreck our own city if we win or lose 🙂
haha , the irony , arsenal have one of the worst atmospheres at games of any team. the old stadium used to be called the Highbury library because its so quiet .. you should check out tottenham atmosphere for the North London derby (against arsenal) this season.. now that is a real team with real fans ! coys..
in Europe we fans feel like we are the heart of the club, not the players or owners.. they run it for us and we will be there long after they have gone.. the club represents us and answers to us, maybe that's why we're so passionate..
