1). Wait for the engine to cool before opening the radiator cap. 2). Do not overtighten radiator drain bolt, it will keep spinning, creating the illusion it is still loose, until it finally snaps halfway inside. You'll need to machine it out or get a whole new radiator (happened to me today). Great Video! Showed me how to do it. Thanks Mitch.
Thanks for the help. I could not find the engine coolant drain. After a half hour of searching I found your video. I would nave never found it otherwise. Thanks Again.
You have the best manual I ever seen. Maybe you have or want to make video how to take off speed limiter for pcx 125 or 150. I know that not ok for engine but sometimes I need take over lorry’s. Sorry for my English. And thanks for videos. 😊
List I have done with my PCX the last few days. 1. Changed my roller weights and drive belt (clutch is still good at 9k) 2. Changed engine oil which ALWAYS drips where I dont want it to LOL 3. Drained coolant from all 3 places like in this video, flushed out, replaced coolant in radiator and reserve tank thanks to this video. The coolant had been in there for over 3 years from brand new LOL! I noticed I had a lot running out the engine compared to when I did the radiator after. Maybe its just because its been a long time?
Mitch, Great Video. I needed to look at how I change oil and coolant on my 2013 PCX150. Excellent photography and straight to the point on how I do this. So easy to follow. Thanks Appreciate it!
I have had mine since 2016. I'm going to have my Honda shop do it. I have pets and don't want them drinking that coolant. Also no way for my to dispose that stuff without paying an arm and leg. I do all the other maintenance. I change the oil every 3k to 5k or based on how much I ride. You've earned another sub.
your videos are excellent! they have helped me a lot with maintenance on my new used pcx. Can you please make a video on replacing the front brake and changing the brake fluid? Thanks for all the awesome easy to follow videos!
hey mitch, just wanna say thank you for the video. followed the step by step and manage to change mine without any issues. flushed and refilled with engine ice. running good now! side note: if you are using an after market exhaust system the manifold might get in the way from opening the bottom drain plug. so need to remove the exhaust before continuing. hope this helps.

Great video. Earlier pcx125 have reserve tank at back of seat. Would be far easier to fill from there. Furthermore, because you drain from underneath, surely there is no need to remove any bodywork?
Hi Mitch, love your videos found them really helpful. I’m about to do this on my 2017 PCX 125 once I have refilled the system. Is there a need to bleed any potential trapped air in the system? Is there a bleed screw at a high point if the system… thank you
I have a 2013, and it actually has the same setup as my 2011 PCX 125 with the overflow bottle under the seat. Guessing the changeover happened partway through 2013....?
Great job! And the scooter.. Apart from the fact that 2021 onwards models with 4 valves in the head is a nightmare to get to and adjust..because of the weird angle..valves are quite deep inside compare to the previous models.. Honda.. why did you not make inspection windows for the Valves.. it would make the job 100 times easier.. i will either make them myself in the future like in old enduro bikes (screw caps) or i will get rid of the thing.. time will tell. God bless you for those video's brother
I am a big fan of your channel, frankly, we benefit from your videos a lot. Thank you for your effort. Please help me with my burgman 400 k8, which shows a cheek light on the screen and refuses to work. The injection system doesn't work and I can't hear it. Thank you
"Oz" is the American fluid ounce (or avoirdupois ounce). This is 1/16 of a pound - the main measure of weight. 16 oz = 473.18 milliliters. Can be rounded up to 500ml, as you can see from the video "Oz" -это американская жидкая унция (или унция авердюпуа). Это 1/16 фунта - основной меры веса. 16 oz = 473,18 миллилитра. Можно округлить до 500ml, что и видно по видео
Hi mitch, i was wondering, after you opened the drain bolt on the raditor you then unscrewed another drain bolt under the engine casing, is that just in the PCX or in all scooters, and what does the second draining bolt drain if not the raditor?.
What's up Mitch! For some odd reason I just discovered your channel. Interesting how I see videos from 9 years back and UA-cam didn't recommend any to me! I swear, I cannot figure out what UA-cam platform does. lol Instead I get crap I'm not even interested in. Anyway, I have a Honda ADV 150 and it's basically the same scooter so thanks for the video. I have a question for you. I have a 2021 honda pcx and the overflow/reservoir is located under the footrest i followed all the other steps but notice during the drain process the reservoir did not drain because it is lower than all the other parts. should I pull the rubber line to reservoir and drain the residual coolant. I can't find any videos that mention this situation?
@@MitchsScooterStuff thank you for your reply, I ended up dropping the lower line to drain and getting the rest out with a syringe. Thanks for the excellent videos.
Recommend using Engine Ice coolant/antifreeze that is non-toxic for both animals and people. You'll need to flush your existing coolant with distilled water (also running the engine several times to run the distilled water through the system) then switch to Engine Ice. It's also used for racing vehicles. We have well water, and I don't like the idea of toxic antifreeze getting in our water supply through a spill or accident.
@@MitchsScooterStuff Is it okay to change the coolant earlier than 2years? Like it's just 2months but I want to try changing it. Do you think it's a good call?
The coolant is organic, its lifespan is about 10 years, it does not need to be replaced every 2-3 years, measure the degree of protection every year, if necessary, drain the expansion tank and add additional ready-to-use antifreeze, it is unnecessary to drain the entire system.
Hi I've just got a pcx 150 2013 model i find the front very harsh on bumpy roads it feels like it's bottoming out, ive changed the fork springs and fresh oil which has helped but only a little, I'm in Thailand so there is a difficulty when i go to the shop not sure they quite understand, they seem to be saying all pcx's do this could anyone give me some ideas please

Why didn't you put coolant and clean water 50/50 as scooter is written and in bottle of coolant also?
