Old video. I thought at first the bigger amp (On the driver side) was the sub amp. And the smaller amp was the interior. Then you show the cute sub setup in your trunk and it made sense why your sub amp is so small. I don't know why you have a huge amp for just 4 Sony interior speakers. Either way, nice setup. Still have it?
Nice install REALLY for a DIY! I could NEVER get it to look that clean and I'm decent with a ratchet, etc under the hood. Sounds nice and Clean too. ROCK ON!
I was feelin the setup at first then I saw the amps n i was like ok ok nice, then... you opened the trunk n I was like a awww wtf. LoL jus playin i am assuming this is your first set up and its not bad at all. My first set up was dub magazine 200's by audiobahn and a boss amp lol. But now I got 2 Sundown X15 D2's for sale with a custom fiber glass box if desired and three Rockford fosgate p600x4 for sale if anyone is interested. KEEP UP THE WORK!
+EatIt2000 LOL yeah just a single prime 10" :(. I didn't want to get a bigger sub and rattle my trunk apart (no dyanmat budget) so I just went with a smaller sub.
@pinoy1225 my headunit has 3 pairs of preouts, front, rear, and sub. So I ran 1 cable for the front, one cable for the rear and in my case ran the sub cable to the other R150-2 amp. You can buy y-cables to fix your problem I think. Look around on the web.
Clean as hell!, I'm gettin that sub in 5 days in a low pro box, I got it for 70$, and its goin in a tiny fiero gt, but like I said ur setup is clean as hell
Hey I just received my r300 like 2 weeks ago and I saw it has two RCA inputs. One for the front and other for the rear. Did u run two RCA cables from headunit to the r300?? I'm confused when I saw that.
Thanks. At the time that I bought these speakers, they were their premium speakers and I bought them from crutchfield. Now, a couple of months ago, I saw them at walmart lol. The headunit is fine but if I had to build again, I would buy different brand speakers.
@theoffspringrox77 basically matching subs and amps is about matching the RMS rating not the max wattage rating that you wrote in your comment. For example, my sub is rated at 150 watts RMS and the amp is sending about 165 watts RMS (max 300 watts) to the sub. That's a good match.
not sure what your asking but if the amp outputs 300 watts rms bridged to 1 sub then it will probably send 150 watts rms to two speakers wired individually to each channel.
@lbvnrw yeah, if your just looking for a little bit of bass for your bmw 1, this should be a good fit for you. This little thing can rattle my trunk a bit when its all the way up. It doesn't tax my electrical system either.
Hey area510 u are exactly right but what are the voice coils rated at d4? But Muzak very very clean install man keep up the good work and drop the 5.25s in the back and get some 6x9 much cleaner mid range
@tilleystunes321 it does have some but you cant hear it when the music is playing. I ran my power and speaker wires along the opposite sides of the car but they still come close to each other near the amp location so that could be the problem.
Im building my new rockford fosgate setup and should be finish ending of june. Ill make a video of my first setup and ill let you see mines also. by the way, like the songs.
@theoffspringrox77 the amp will be good for the sub, and if its a cheap kicker, then it probably wouldnt matter much if it blew. just adjust the amplifier by ear, you will definately know when you're overpowering the sub, you will get distortion in sound and it sounds so awful..its hard to miss. USUALLY if an amp is rated like 1000 watts max, it'll be around 500 rms but rockford fosgate is pretty honest with their ratings, i bet you'll get close to 350-400 out of it, but you can go lower.
No offense, not sure if it's the sound on you tube, but it sounds terrible. The highs are harsh and cymbal. Mids are distorted and clipped the bass is boxed in and timid with huge distortion
It sounds like the gain is turned up way to much . You should be able to get way more volume before any distortion. It shouldn’t be on volume 18 and sound like that. Turn the amp gain way down.
Sound good to me to be an entry system . Is Way cleaner sound that some dudes that have high end subs and dont know to adjust their system and end up with loud distorted car rattle bass and think they koo with that shit
I mounted them to the back seat with screws. The gauge wire was 4 gauge from the battery to the distb. block then 8 guage from the distb. block to the amps.
Adam S Adam thank you for the reply. Another question about the power cable. It's OK to go from 4 gauge to 8 gauge wire to the amp? Doesn't it defeat the purpose of using the larger 4 gauge in the 1st place?
I believe my amps are low power so they accept 8 gauge wiring only & the out ports on the distb. block were 8 gauge. Of course 4 gauge is better :) but I just used what the ports were designed for.
Hey i have a cheap 300 watt. kicker and my friend told me he'd sell me a 500w. fosgate amp, is it possible to turn down the wattage on the amp so it doesnt over power my sub and blow it? I'm new to all this shit lol
please let me know if can hook Pioneer TS-M800PRO 8-Inch (360 Watts per pair) speaker and Pioneer TS-B350PRO 3-1/2" (200 watts per pair) tweeter and a JBL subwoofer 310 watt with Rockford Fosgate R600X5 Prime 5-Channel Amplifier ?
@DragonWagon6 LOL yeah there are def some haterz on here but whatever. Imma do me. Yeah the 300.4 is plenty loud for me...... and this is only a budget unit!!!!
Hands down one of the best DIY set ups on the tube. That's that Kingdom mentality.
i was like wtf at the sub thn you turned it up i was like well damn okay
love, love, love this set up... so fresh & so clean...
Congrats Clean setup you did it the right way not just bass RESPECT
Thanks. I wanted it to look clean & sound complete all while on a budget.
How much the all setup?

Nice music selection. Every knee will bow ✊🏾

+EatIt2000 how much you want for the amps?
Super clean setup. Looks great
@pinoy1225 my headunit has 3 pairs of preouts, front, rear, and sub. So I ran 1 cable for the front, one cable for the rear and in my case ran the sub cable to the other R150-2 amp. You can buy y-cables to fix your problem I think. Look around on the web.

gotta get the classic #RearViewMirror sot. lol dope video and setup yo
Thanks. At the time that I bought these speakers, they were their premium speakers and I bought them from crutchfield. Now, a couple of months ago, I saw them at walmart lol. The headunit is fine but if I had to build again, I would buy different brand speakers.

Ur setup is a very small, budget system. but ur install is very clean, i wish i could hide all of my wires like u did
@TheZackcivic06 Thanks! This was my first install. I just took my time and made it look nice.
Man u did a good job on that.
not sure what your asking but if the amp outputs 300 watts rms bridged to 1 sub then it will probably send 150 watts rms to two speakers wired individually to each channel.
Not bad at all. Sony speakers and head units aren't too advisable 9/10 times, but you made it work and if you like it that's all that matters.
@lbvnrw yeah, if your just looking for a little bit of bass for your bmw 1, this should be a good fit for you. This little thing can rattle my trunk a bit when its all the way up. It doesn't tax my electrical system either.
this is a nice little setup. u install it urself?
@Rugerman205 Thanks! I didn't feel like paying 200+ to have it all installed so I just figured out how and did it myself.
hey man how do u like the prime amps i heard the 4 channel has lots of engine wine true or false nice system set man
Hey area510 u are exactly right but what are the voice coils rated at d4? But Muzak very very clean install man keep up the good work and drop the 5.25s in the back and get some 6x9 much cleaner mid range
Great Install!!
i have RF punch series 1000 on 2 15's and a 400 on my highs and its all in the trunk of my 95 accord
Clean!
Great job! How did you set your gains?
@tilleystunes321 it does have some but you cant hear it when the music is playing. I ran my power and speaker wires along the opposite sides of the car but they still come close to each other near the amp location so that could be the problem.
Im building my new rockford fosgate setup and should be finish ending of june. Ill make a video of my first setup and ill let you see mines also. by the way, like the songs.
It's funny how you are in the middle of a field or something, like you needed to do that so you don't get noise complaints lmao
Damn dogg that shit sound good. im getting the prime 500 amp.
@falcons03079313 oh no, to bad your sub blew. those probably aren't cheap. || thanks. it was my first time. new possible additions: new speakers!
And here i got a DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING
Ezaxtly. Its like we are the only ones that hear it or something. Total idiot.

that sounds good in that size of a car..Guess don´t need more bass..i got a bmw 1 series coupe and that car is much smaller..
how many watts is your high amp and how many channels
clean good job!
+519bassheads Thanks!
dang man i want ur head unit how much do those run for? and what model is it?
Can I ask how do you have that set up running to your head unit?
No offense, not sure if it's the sound on you tube, but it sounds terrible. The highs are harsh and cymbal. Mids are distorted and clipped the bass is boxed in and timid with huge distortion
@HHHMuZiK
What the hell is RMS, I don't see that anywhere in the specs on any of the stuff I'm looking at
@agonz91 thanks, yes I did.
It sounds like the gain is turned up way to much .
You should be able to get way more volume before any distortion.

How were you able to mount those amps on the back of those seats?
pretty slick.. I may try that.
I mounted them to the back seat with screws. The gauge wire was 4 gauge from the battery to the distb. block then 8 guage from the distb. block to the amps.
