Low-tech NO FERTILISERS flowering shallow Betta tank - 8 months update
As I set out in the first video, I haven't used a single drop of fertilisers, no fancy filter and no CO2 in this tank. It actually turned out even more beautiful than expected with no algae and almost no maintenance, apart from regular weekly water changes.
This scape has also rewarded me with beautiful flowering of Pogostemon Erectus which has taken over the entire emersed section.
By this video, I wanted to prove that a beautiful aquascape can be created without the need of additional CO2, fertilisers or fancy equipment.
There's also a hint of what may be coming in the next video !? 😊

Hope you enjoyed the 4-month update video of my Wabi Kusa bowl. All plants have been growing beautifully. This is one of the best tanks I’ve ever seen! I’m sad it’s taken 3 years for me to see this gem, hopefully you still have it up and running? Love it. Personally, I would hide the diffuser etc. Clear is nice but takes away from the scape.

Hello, I suspect this will not be seen though I have some questions if I may. Id like to know if you glue the rocks together in the tank or external. I also dont understand how small pockets of water dont stagnate behind the rocks? Best Regards

As good of an idea as it is, some cigarette filters can have chemicals in them that can be toxic to your water. Possibly look into unbleached cottton
