- The Rosenbaum House, the first of the Usonian Designs of Frank LLoyd Wright. I was able to take two tours of this national treasure. It a work of art that was a home. Sunlight/shadow/line and flow. I could have spent hours in this house, the flow of lines and the fine details could take hours to absorb. located at 601 Riverview Dr, Florence Al, 35630. Tours, times and admission are located on the website at www.wrightinalabama.com
Worth a visit, for sure.

Thanks! video still doesn't do it justice...
Hey Dave! So cool you got to see this Frank Lloyd Wright house, I love his designs and mid-century modern in general. Thanks for sharing it. We have been swamped with our business and a house reno... taking a break from UA-cam and content creating for the moment. But I hope life is treating you well! Take care friend :) Debbie - BluWave Odyssey
Doing pretty well, here at the Elks camp till around April 1st. Glad you're doing good.
Plywood mania! Cool old features that are no longer around. You need to stop at Fallingwater. Another one of his houses. 👍🏻
hopefully next summer!
Was that Morgan Freedman on the voice over...no no that is the master of all things tactical, the wizard of undisclosed locations, the authority of pith hats, the one they call Caribou Dave!!! Very interesting video!
Just trying to find a way to get full body camper paint!
You would be barking out the window if you could! This looks a lot like our historic buildings. Nice! I see many of the same qualities here at the settlement 🤔🤔🤣🤣
yeah, but ours are new!
Very cool and pretty place. Surprised they let you in. lol Was this from last year or your drive down this year? I figured Ohio would kick you out long before this. lol Nice share man. Hope you are doing good.
last spring. yeah they let me in, cost $10 , but it helps keep it open to the likes of me!
Yes, innovative, but we have to take into account the small scale of FLW himself. His houses fit him, they do not fit my 6'4" husband, 6' 6" son, nor my 6' 1" daughter. We proved his by collectively touring the FLW house here near Washington, DC. Claustrophobia set in rapidly.
I could see that! Definitely for a different size of people. I'm not claustrophobic, which just made it feel cozy. The small door sizes were a bit odd feeling. I was fascinated by the play on space, light, and what Wright saw and portrayed through his design.
Cheers!
