I don’t mind waiting for Silksong, but what really annoys me is that Team Cherry sucks at providing any updates. I love their games, but I hate their PR and Marketing.
For all the people that are complaining Silksong is not out I think that is childish. The first game was excellent but its not like your whole life revolves around it. If you are a fan thats fine but let the devs take there time. The want the game to be better than everyone's expectations and if you are a team of 3 and want to avoid crunch that takes a LOT of time. Let it go, move on and have a very happy surprise when its finally out.
I'm letting team cherry take their time because I know they're working hard and the game is going to be amazing but they seriously could do with a post every 3 months saying they're still working on it. Currently the most recent news was that type of message in discord on hollow knight's anniversary, and the most recent ANYTHING from team cherry before that was may of 2023 talking about a delay
If hornet is more agile she should have more abilities like backward dash blocking air block, her weapon should get new abilities when upgrading not just change the appearance like the knight nail which doesn't feel different only do more damage
There's an upcoming Xbox Partner showcase, so it's plausible we could see something there. Considering the last time we saw anything was in an Xbox showcase. But only time will tell.
I just started playing hollow knight a few days ago for the first time. I finished the Elden Ring DLC and I thought why not. Maybe silksong will be out by the time I get done with it. 😂😂😂
Breath of the wild got dlc and a sequel, Elden ring released and is now getting dlc, all since Silksong was announced. I’ve got to say, I just don’t think I really care any more. Hollow knight is one of my favourite games ever but these devs need to stop announcing their games so early; it kills the hype and also betrays the possibility of scope creep, making people wary.
Well to be fair they kinda had to announce it early since originally it was just going to be a dlc for Hollow Knight where you could play as Hornet so it wouldn’t make sense for them not to tell anyone about it since if that were the case then everyone would just think it’s still a dlc. Though I don’t blame you for feeling that way.
@HurtsmithTV I think what he's trying to say is that they kinda had to announce it, since the "Hornet playable as a character" was one of their Supporter Goals (don't know the exact term) and that goal had been crushed by the funds or whatever, so people would have been suspicious and even mad, why they (Cherry) didn't say anything about it, since they threw money on them for that to release. If you can follow what I'm trying to say
You mean it looks like it’s part of a cutscene? I kind of see what you mean but then the collection of the shard suggests otherwise so I think Hornet just has really fluid movement.
What I dont understand is after the immense success of hollow knight, why haven't they taken on more staff to ease the burden? The wait is killing me, but I also know it will be a true masterpiece.
Team Cherry is in development hell. How did 3 people manage to make Hollow Knight within a couple of years and now they are unable to finish Silksong in double the amount of time with more people? I’ll believe that the game exists the moment it releases.
@@noahlovato7331 Really though? I mean, they added a ton of DLC content and kept working on the game two years after release. They put out a finished game and added to it. I can’t imagine how the would’ve done more and what. Now, the devs have to port everything to a new engine while the game is still in development, and they have to run bug tests as well as patch as many bugs as possible before the game even goes gold. All the delays and the complete silence speak of terrible management and development hell. While Blasphemous managed to release two games each game better than the other both with great art and music to boot. That's how you know you got a team with a clear vision and management skills, Team Cherry doesn't seem to be that unfortunately. I honestly lost any care I had before or respect.
I have played both blasphemous games and they don’t compare at all in terms of exploration and boss battles, blasphemous 2 was good but short and forgettable already sadly
But you have to remember the scope, hollow knight alone is bigger than both blasphemous games combined and silksong is supposed to be far bigger than hollow knight, although it might be true that they are struggling because the game is way too big for them ( in fact I bet a large studio can't make a game that size without cutting corners and and seeing many issues) hollow knight alone in terms of the amount of content rivals AAA games and that's from just 3 people team
@purehollow4460 that's all part of the management skill I was talking about, biting more than you can chew is a huge failure in management, going back to the blasphemous example both games have almost exactly the same scope but this time they designed the game around 3 weapons with all the complexities of doing that. The result is two high quality games not too big and not too small. I know Hollow knight was probably bigger than both but they are not making Hollow knight they're making Silksong so they have all the success of Hollow Knight to carry them over, they could've hired more people and planned accordingly. It just seems the game got bigger and bigger until it reached an unachievable proportion for the team. And that's the main reason of development hell bad planning and no clear vision. I'm not rooting against them I hope they release their game successfully but I'm no longer waiting or even expecting it.
