I attempt to earn Hollow Knight's Platinum Trophy in this video. I try to showcase some of the more important and interesting trophies along the way including bosses, miscellaneous trophies, and the pantheons of course. This Platinum is rated a 10/10 difficulty because of the skills required to complete the pantheons legit.

I love how you kept the soulmasters fight ending a secret! One of the reasons i love your channel. You show how to get the platinum but you also leave things for the players you influence to play and tryout these games secrets to still find! Phenomenal!
Haha you caught that?! I’m glad someone did! I really hope some people do give this a shot and if it’s too difficult, they could use invincibility if they want. I still recommend they don’t but I understand if they do

It’s an incredible fanmade DLC mod that adds new charms, locations, music, and even bosses! It just released the other day and I can say with certainty that it is incredible!!

Then we practice for hours, come back & win. Congrats, beating pantheon 5 was probably my proudest achievement in gaming, im sure it feels good.

Love the editing! I've finished this game so many times on many different devices. I decided to get the 112% on the latest one I got
Congrats! I completed the P5 for the first time too recently. I did not activate Zote and actually only died to Sisters of the Battle and Absrad, then beat her in my third run. I felt the run a bit illegitimate so i did it with Zote and no surprise I died to Zote after Markoth, but unbelievably I got to Absrad on my next run and beat her again. I also have the healing build, which is key because I got hit so many times by Absrad. I probably can never beat her in Ascended mode because of that.
The one that I needed to practice most was Pure Vessel but the fight becomes much easier once you learn the fight. Absrad doesn't take that much practice, but I never got really good at dodging, just better at finding healing spot. I feel that it is my best gaming achievement. As an average player, I dont want to even attempt bindings and P5.
It’s insane how difficult some of the bosses can be and also very interesting how one person can find a boss tough but another person doesn’t struggle with them at all! During my runs, I don’t think I ever lost to pure vessel and only lost to absolute radiance once but that’s because I spent a lot of time practicing after reaching her the first time
Nice, well done... I feel the pain on that last trophy, I've thrown it in for now... so frustrating to get so deep to have to start again. Props to you.

hey there’s one self made achievement that you could do but it might just ruin your patience. its basically beating every boss in the hall of gods on radiant, where you are one hit and the bossea have more health
It is really painful to do but doing each binding for pantheon of hallownest, even one at a time, is what did me in. I only got nail and soul bindings before I decided Collector was way too unreasonable.

@@AlexLewis-ph5jm yeah, it’s a hard platinum, but the hard part is most definetly not these trophies. the speedrun one if you get a guide is pretty easy and makes you understand a bit more of the speedrun part of the community, and steel soul i wanted to beat anyway, but you can always use the “save and quit” strategy to make it turn into a regular playthrough

Steel soul is more difficult and punishing that p5. I died on the radiance climb. THE RADIANCE CLIMB. I was so pissed.

I was going for the platinum on this game and had every other trophy but the hunters mark, but there’s 1 specific enemy that doesn’t respawn after u kill the 3 guardians so I couldn’t get it, but now after watching this I wanna go back and make a new account to plat it
I'm quite sure you can get every enemy in a single playthrough. If it's not by killing them it's by reading lore tablets or inspecting artifacts and corpses.
There is no enemy that cant be killed after the dreamers seal is broken
You can get the hunters mark achievement after you kill the dreamers

My one favourite stage in gaming is to replay (Trail of the Fool) in Hollow Knight again and again and again

with nightmare king grim, once i get hit, I usually lose composure and proceed to die. It's either hit-less or i die, there's no in between.

I play hollow knight on Xbox and just recently got every achievement for the game. It took me months if not almost a year to get it done. I now have two 112 saves, and a 100% steel soul save. This game almost broke me, and it was worth it seeing everything this game has to offer, having discovered every secret and side quest completed, now even after doing everything, I still somehow find fun playing the game. Just goes to show how good hollow knight really is.
this is one gripe that I have of Hollow Knight, they explicitly stated that they did not want to lock rewards behind their hardest challenges (hence why you don’t see anything but geo and bragging rights when you conquer the trial of the fool, and why you don’t have to beat P5 to get 112%) yet they lock the platinum behind the hardest and final, FINAL, **FINAL** BOSS
isnt the point of a plat that you have to do everything/the hardest thing in a game
i mean they don't do that entirely play station does. Do you expect them not to have an achievement for beating the hardest thing in the game.
how is the platinum trophy any different than geo/bragging rights? what they meant was that they didn't want to lock any of the abilities behind super crazy ultra hard boss fights, because then less apt players wouldn't be able to complete the game. otherwise, they were free to make battles as hard as they please, so long as the reward was mainly just the glory of having defeated them. this gripe is invalid and team cherry likely didn't even come up with the platinum themselves anyways. if it's that important to you that you complete every trophy and your complaint is that the platinum is locked behind too much difficulty, then just do the invulnerability glitch. I'm sure you'll feel very accomplished cheating your way to victory.
@ it’s not any different, i just value something that will go on my playstation account’s record for public display more than something i do for kicks and have to go into the game to show
on steam and xbox you also get an achievement for each possible ending and if you leave zote to die in greenpath and banish the grimm troupe instead of finishing the ritual

Just one question, what source gave the game the 10/10 difficulty that you mention in the description? Psnp lists it as a 9, so was wondering wether they changed it or you used a different source 🤔

i platinum this game on every way, all endings, 112%, steelsoul mode, the hunter journal, every phanteon with all the bindings at the same time, and every boss in radiant, maybe i'm a bit insane lmao

Beating all the pantheons took me 20 hours, the rest of the game took me 80 hours.
nice, gg! I tried for the plat some time ago, and got stuck at pantheon 4. I should really go back and finish it up some time, but the no death run, p5 and 6, and the speedruns are a lot... so much still to do 😂
Got the plat yesterday... My hands hurt, and I'll never to that again lol

This was my second platinum I love this game
going into abs rad on my final p5 run I genuinely felt sick. I was sure I was gonna do what I did on path of pain and die right at the end but somehow I managed to stay just about calm enough and finish the fight. I've 100%ed a lot of games but this was by far the hardest and most painful of them all

The fifth pantheon is incredibly difficult and time consuming but you can just go for the 112%. If you think p5 too tedious just don’t do it! The rest of the game is just amazing.

What's funny is that this is the only platinum I've ever gotten just because I love the game that much
For moments like the hard fights you absolutely need to include like a heart rate monitor

I decided to complete all the achievements in hollowknight on steam, and honestly it wasn't that bad. Speedrun 1 and 2 was easy. Steel soul i also got on the first run, and P5 took me 3 tries, first time i died early on, 2nd try i got to the last stage of absol the first time fighting him and the third try i beat it :) and all of the other achievements weren't rly like a challenge just playing the game :)
The way he didn't show any of the planforming challenges to get the 112% (path of pain) while showing it to be a very hard game is a very talented way to let the viewers play the game themselves so they can experience the full brutality of it .
To be honest with you, path of pain isn’t required for 112% but the regular platforming is and yup I didn’t include it ;) also didn’t include some surprised in earlier fights! It’s on purpose since most people kind of know only about p5 anyways
What about the entire second file you need to do in this game for specific achievements such as banishment? There's also the speedrun achievements and STEEL HEART! It is debated on whether embrace the void or steel heart is harder. And steel soul, let alone steel heart, wasn't mentioned at all.

Fun fact: Steam has two additional achievements that make it mandatory to play through the game twice, and another that can be missed in a playthrough, plus the achievements for 4/5 endings. Also 3 achievements for beating the game fast, one of which requires %100 completion within like 18 hours, and the two Steal Soul achievements. With that said, the %100 achievement ribbon on Steam is much harder than the PlayStation Platinum trophy.
Yeah idk why they took out so many trophies on the psn version but then super meat boy has way tougher trophies on the psn version lol either way I hope silksong has the same requirements across the board if that ever comes out
Ngl, as a hollow knight maximum insane person that was all the computer achievements (where there are more of) and had beaten p5 three times (I am thinking about getting all radiant bosses over winter break) this makes me remember about when you start. (But I didn’t start that bad though so take my opinion with a grain of salt)

this is probably my fav game of all time, i played it during covid and was able to do everything except the last 2 pantheons. i dont have the time to go back and learn the game again so ig ill never finish it
Charm recommendation for you build: steady body. VERY underrated but once you get the hang of it you won't want to take it off. Don't belive me? Look it up I'm not kidding it's actually op (especially because your doing g nail builds)

You should try it on Steam. There isn’t even an achievement for Steel Soul on consoles. You were essentially playing on easy mode the whole time. If you really want something that will mentally and physically break you Steel Soul mode is where it’s at. It literally made me quit video games entirely for like 8 months as well as relapse on 5+ years of sobriety before I finally beat it. I still consider it the single hardest video game-related challenge I’ve ever overcome, with Sekiro being a very close second.
You should still be proud of your achievement though.
The reason why steel soul isn’t so bad is because of the bench mechanic. You can pause and quit at any time to respawn at a bench without dying just like in super meat boy. I do still wish it was a trophy on psn but I’m not too bothered by it. I’m playing jump king now which is easily one of the hardest games to 100%

Im going for this plat too, im on pantheon 5 right now. The furthest i have gotten was grey prince zote so far but i beat him on ascended and am confident. Ill try to update as i get further :) (great vid too)

pantheon 5 is the hard part (recommended to try in an already completed save file, to get the pure completion achievement too), everything else is alright tbh. but that thing tho- it scares me.

The final pantheon will always be the one challenge I couldn’t beat. It still haunts me to this day but absolute radiance got me beat bad

When you fight abs rad (absolute radiance) platform phase it always Spawns on the bottom platform
btw, in playstation, i dunno why but there's no steel soul achievements AND no speedrun achievements
in PC and Xbox, there's 2 steel soul achievements
Steel soul: finish a steel soul run
Steel heart: finish a steel soul run with 100% completion
and 3 speedrun achievements
Speedrun 1: finish a run in less than 10 hours
Speedrun 2: finish a run in less than 5 hours
Speed completion: finish a run in less than 20 hours with 100% completion

Definitely one of my favourite games. Gotten every achievement except the one for Pantheon of Hallownest. Also seems weird how there are so many more Xbox achievements compared to ps trophies
