Ollie and Kimberly are both ADORABLE… but I was definitely rooting for Kimberly as a fellow cat girlie 🤭💗🐈⬛ the form of Cloud Atlas sounds super intriguing 👀 will have to add it to my tbr
I'd give Ishiguro a go if you're looking for more booker prize type books. His stuff is great. The buried giant might be a good place to start as it has fantasy elements, but you can't really go wrong with any of his books. Really enjoying your vids btw. Keep up the good work 🙂
I’m screenshotting your comment for future reference (hope that’s ok) bc I actually want to make a video where I read 4ish books written by Ishiguro. I haven’t even read Never Let Me Go and I think it would be interesting to spend 2ish weeks immersing myself in his works😄 I’ll definitely start with The Buried Giant! Thank you for this comment 😊
Of course that's ok 🙂 Never Let Me Go is a must read imo. One of my favs of all time. Likewise re The Remains Of The Day. You're very welcome! Looking forward to your Ishiguro video already 😊
Okay, but can we talk about how big your uni is? Also, how do you get into all these different areas? In my school you can’t even enter through the bike garage anymore! 👀🚨🫠
May I encourage you to read two russian classics? They are very short, but they really made me feel the emotions of the main characters. First is "White nights" from Dostojewski. About a man isolated from society, who wants to feel love, but was lonely for too long, so he doesn't really know how to speak to people. Who might get's one final chance for a happy life. The ending really hits hard, I promise. And second is "First love" from Turgenjew. It really made me remember my first time of falling in love: How it can make you feel the highest, but also can blind you and bring you down. Love can be a painful feeling. Maybe you consider them. If so, I would be interested how you liked them.
I actually read White Nights in late January and I adored it!! 🥰 so so beautiful and I totally agree about the ending: true to human nature and so melancholic (maybe sweet in a way as well). I’m adding First Love to my TBR thank you for the recommendation ☺️
Glad you liked it. It's one of my favorites. This one extra round that they walked together cause they couldn't seperate that night, because they felt so connected, broke them apart. Tragic but beautiful.

@@Vincent-Muelleraghhhh yes that affected me so much. Amazing how much of a punch Dostoyevsky is able to deliver in such a short work
Nice video! Ollie was robbed!! 😭😂
💘
I hope Kimberly wins, but I'm horribly biased towards cats.
same ... 😻
(tho i promise this video was unbiased!!)
@@valliyarnl I am sure it was, although it's always nice to know someone likes cats.
Cats always win
Haha maybe there’ll have to be a rematch so? 😅
