  • Video of patrons playing slot machine and table games.
People playing inside, walking on Freemont Street (downtown). Shots of various hotels including:
    #goldennugget
    #tropicana
    #fourqueens
    #themint
I wonder if ‪@MrHandPay‬ would pull that handle in 1967?

Dang i was born and raised in Vegas. Born 71. It was really big deal when they took the street off Fremont for driving. When i was kid we used to roll up and down Fremont street in my friends lowered mini truck lol. Vegas was small town up until late 80s or so. My parents worked 30 years or so at Caesars Palace and the Maxim hotel. Great video!😊

@@muziklvr7776 they did. 401k was not as common or as available as today nor did union have great pension programs. For as many years as my dad worked at Caesars he got small retirement i think it was just lump sum if i can remember. Was different time in 60s and 70s workin in casinos.

I been in Vegas since 1955 I'm 74. we use to ride horses to the daydream ranch.and go to the stage coach.and hacienda stables.and Bonnie springs.and twin lakes stables and ride to spring reserve water the horses and then head back to hacienda hotel water the horses and back home or we would stop at the rocking horse ranch then with a good days. And then we got older and we used to cruise Fremont Street from the Union Depot all the way down Fremont to the Blue Onion then come up Charleston to seals and back to the Union Depot back down Fremont That's what we did in 66 67 good memories those were good years that's when Vegas was Vegas for my native almost

i remember staying at the sal sagev hotel in late sixties as a little kid, my parents left me up in the hotel room. I remember Vegas Vics arm going back and forth all night room from the window. Sal sagev was las vegas spelled backwards. It had a big metal screen all around the front and side of the casino. I think it was removed in the seventies, not sure

Strange seeing Freemont with cars. Last time I was there, it was just really old fat people on Rascal Scooters rolling up Freemont. Good times.

Color film came out way before color TV. Movie theaters were showing color movies back in the forties. A TV that shows color film is a completely different invention.

The 1960s had color TV. It was rare but the people who got them were rich or saved up. A few people I know had color TV and the entire neighborhood wanted to go to their house
