What I've realized it's is different for everyone, some mentioned in the video I felt almost nothing, like wrist, spine, while others like top of foot and hand in general was very painful. Just depends on the person and where they are sensitive.
I have a full sleeve and would say that my experience with the elbow was a piece of cake. It was honestly one of the easier spots throughout my sleeve. So cool how pain is a person to person basis
I was thinking the same thing. Elbow was easy, the worst part on my entire arm, is what they call “the ditch” which is the crease on the inside of the arm at the elbow joint. But I’d honestly say my most painful overall was my calf, though that might just be because that tattoo is the most saturated of all my pieces. It IS very intriguing how different places are more/less painful depending on the person.
My most painful during the actual tattoo process were definitely my fingers, especially since they’ve needed more touch up than ones on my forearm, bicep, or wrists. However, the one on the back of my hand was the most painful by far during the healing. It took longer to heal and was much more sensitive. Thankfully it came out very well first time so no touch up needed
Funny enough my very first tattoo I ever got two of them, was the Romanian and Italian flag on my left Wrist, The Romanian Flag cause I'm Romanian, and the Italian one because the family who adopted and raised me is Italian. One thing I will say a lot of people might not consider, is the color of that tattoo itself, will actually affect that pain level, because the metal in the tattoo or how deep it needs to go changes on the color. When I got mine I chatted a lot about it with my tattoo artist, for me personally I found the most painful pigment to be yellow, and both times I got tattoos the Artist agreed with me saying Yellow usually causes a lot of issues for people because it has to go deeper than red, or blue.
My mom has a tattoo on her spine. After hearing this and after remembering the time she danced and jumped with high heels on i deducted that she is a terminator
For me, the most sensitive places were the calf's and the chest with the calf being the most painful. Easiest by far were the fingers. But then again, my hands have seen a lot of damage from work, so most likely the pain tolerance there has built up, or I'm just weird.
I got a whole back tattoo, in 6 hour with only 2, 10 min brakes. Yes it hurts, but nothing is more uncomfortable than vibration of the machine around your heart.
I’ve got a decent amount of my body tattooed (including my head, spine and neck) and I can easily say the worst one was the back of my knee, felt like I was having my legs sliced by a rusty razor for hours
I've had behind my ears and the sides of my neck tattooed and it wasn't painful, but the vibrations around my skull made me feel sick and gave me a migraine. Happened each of the 4 times I had those areas done.

Yeah, tattoos hurt. A lot more painful than I expected, to be honest. My only tattoo (for now lol) is on my inner forearm, and gosh it hurt! The best way to describe the pain is a slow, burning cat scratch. I have cats and can confirm, at least in my experience, that's a very accurate description. Totally worth it though!
Honestly it varies from person to person, everyone has a different scale of pain tolerance. For me, tattoos don't hurt at all. It just feels like buzzing on my skin which can make it feel a bit raw but not all that painful. They're definitely worth it though, if you have a good artist lined up. I've got arms, wrists, chest, sternum, collar bones and legs, I have a messed up nervous system so that could be why none of my tattoos have hurt much, planning on shins and lower stomach next, lower neck was weird I could feel it all up my throat but still never really hurt much
I've got tatts running across both wrists, elbows, ditches (inside of elbow) and right up against the armpits. I can definitely attest to the accuracy of this video.
I have a tattoo on the side of my wrist! It was really painful. I was literally crying and was laughing at the same time to cover my pain. The tattoo artist was very supportive! Now, I am getting ready to get a 3rd one on my wrist!
My "most painful tattoo" would be a 2x2 inch picture on my left ribs. The artist had a REAL HEAVY hand though, so I reflexively pulled back, leaning into the chair's opposite armrest. I found out later that I had a hairline fracture on a right-side rib. Pain. Everytime I breathed or stretched. For six weeks.

As someone doing alot of manual labor and ofter cutting my fingers i think i would't have much of a problem with tattoin them but when i heard armpits i got shivers at the mere tought.
I got a butterfly on the middle of my back, on the spine. The gray ink didn't hurt but the colour definitely did, as it was on already sensitive, broken skin.
I'm actually kinda surprised the upper back wasn't on this list. I have two tattoos, one on my upper back where my scapula is and the other wrapped around my ribs. Granted, my rib tattoo is pretty small so the most pain I felt was when my artist was tattooing towards the back of my ribs because of the vibration against my bones. My scapula tattoo was a little bigger with more detail, but still only the size my fist. The shading and coloring for that one was torture cuz all I could feel was that buzzing against my bone radiating all the way to my shoulder and neck. I def plan on getting more, but just sticking to my arms for now.
Hey, heavily tattoo'd fella here! The machines/needles dont actually 'inject' the ink into the skin. The needles are covered in ink when being used, when being stabbed into the skin, the needles carry that ink into the skin with them whilst opening up little holes, and they kinda just.. leave that ink behind. It's not like an injection needle that has a hole in the center for fluid to travel down. Hope that kinda made sense?
In my experience nothing compares to the sternum. I’ve been tattoo’d on my neck, spine, elbow, the whole top of my left hand and I would gladly take any of those over having to do my chest/sternum again.
The top of my foot was the WORST place of all my tattoos. It legit felt like he was peeling the skin off! My daughter's first, and only, tat was a beautiful saying right along the spine... She took it like a champ!
Being completely honest, my elbow was the least painful tattoo I've got. The skin is actually quite thick (just compare it to your inner arms, for instance) and the needle doesn't get anywhere near your bones. IMO, chest and shoulders are at least twice as painful.
I’ve had my fingers(8/10, right above nail to middle knuckle) done and the first time I thought I was gonna throw up & pass out.. my brother redid them and that didn’t come close to painful as the first time. Artist knowledge with depth with various skins helps.
Gotta call out number 5 the side. 5'11 back when I was 130 pounds I got my side done. 15 hour tattoo, 5 sessions, first session being about 6 hours. It goes from the bottom of my armpit to just below the top of my hip bone and from about half way around the front to the same on the back. I slept through that whole first sitting, was not bad at all. The worst part of the whole tattoo was how I had to lay. Overall tattoos don't hurt. Also have wrist neck and chest. None really hurt
I have 70 tattoos and my personal most painful one was getting the entire top of my left foot done. I also almost passed out when I got the the webbing between my thumb done.
Full arm and leg sleeves plus chest here. Under the arm (armpit-region) was the worst, and back of the knee was pretty bad. Weirdly, the calf was the only one that I felt physically ill after. Happy inking!
The elbow! I was waiting for the end of the video because when I tattooed my both arms, the elbow was something really insane. I was like "it's not possible that I was the only one that felt that much pain in this ridiculous area".
I have a sleeve and my wrist was the most painful. I'd say as it was thin skin and across a bone. Inside of my elbow, called the dip, and outside were fine
I have eyeliner tattooed on.. no numbing cream was used .. it hurt like a mother .. but a needle by your eye is motivation to not move and have a tattoo on my ankle
The elbow was the least painful tattoo I ever got. It actually tickled and felt good idk how that ended up first place. The worst I have done is my inner bicep and my chest
Top of the foot was the worst one I have partly because of the bone being close to the surface, but another reason is that I had to walk around on it. Use of the tattooed area definitely plays a role in the severity and duration of the pain your going to experience.
When I was in high school, one of my track team members was so immature and would give me and others a purple nurple randomly. I definitely don’t miss those days
Well, I disagree with the number 1 place. I have tats on all 8 fingers, both forearms, 1 anckle my back, ribs and chest. The ribs were horrible when it came to pain, but the absolute worst, was my chest. Made me not want to get any more chest tattoos. Matter of fact, the only 2 that bothered me were the ribs and chest.
I’ve gotten a chest tattoo in the center, rib cage, wrists, and hip. Nom really hurt I only had a uncomfortable feeling when they’d have to go over small lines or something to make it more defined.
They forgot to mention everyone's pain tolerance is different. I have my hands and fingers tattooed and both were a breeze. I actually laughed during the fingers felt like tickling
Can confirm that the inside of the wrist hurts, didnt really bother me getting the rest of my forearm done, but around the inner part of wrist is rather unpleasant, and resisting the urge to twitch the hand is annoying.
Strange how different everyone perceives pain, I have a full sleeve that goes from the bottom half of my fingers with full coverage into a shoulder/back and chest panel..all color so my elbow is solidly covered as well as the inside of my bicep..I was anticipating that to be awful, and the elbow was, but the inner bicep was far easier for me. Weird enough my shoulder/back panel was by farrrr the worst for me. That's the only session I quit early on of the entire tatt.
@@the-weirdist my shoulder was my very first one at 16 and like it said you can tell when it hits the bone but like with any tattoo it goes numb after awhile (as long as your artist doesn’t hop around) and will just get the occasional flash of extra pain from when it hits the bone. Hope your piece turns out great though!
The first tattoo that I ever got was a spanning from the make of my neck to halfway down my back right on the spine Watching this I realise how dumb I was cause people told me that it was gonna be painful but I didn't believe them and well It did initial couple of seconds were about an 7 or 8 on the pain scale

Lol dont do it gg
Why don't you test each area and let us know how bad it is 🤣
Lol 🤣🤣🤣
As someone doing alot of manual labor and ofter cutting my fingers i think i would't have much of a problem with tattoin them but when i heard armpits i got shivers at the mere tought.
Most painful was my ribs...at the end I started shaking like I was cold.
I had a 5 hour session on my ribs and it was more painful then any sparring session I’ve ever done I was holding my breath trying to hold on the pain
It's probably because not everyone's scapula is as exposed.
I definetely dont getting any of these tattoos! I thanking you for this video!!
I was never interested in getting a tattoo. But after seeing this I’m never getting one.
Yes same lol
Very true, I got my ribcage done when I weighed about 108 lbs, the area around the beginning of my armpit, and my back within the last year.
jungkook from bts has a blackout tattoo on his inner elbow…his pain tolerance is insane
Who else is here while the tittle is grammatically incorrect?
Little tittle. Lol
I have 2 sleeves and most of my chest tattoos. Definitely agree with the elbows being the most painful
They aren’t “tattoo guns” they are tattoo machines
Came to the comments to post this!
Wow great job with the research 🤔
Wow, such a big difference
@@Rayitolaser569 I agree, such a mistake could literally end lives !
In my experience nothing compares to the sternum. I’ve been tattoo’d on my neck, spine, elbow, the whole top of my left hand and I would gladly take any of those over having to do my chest/sternum again.
"Don't getting a tatto in these parts of the body"
Cursed title
Yeah I’m waiting it to be changed
The top of my foot was the WORST place of all my tattoos. It legit felt like he was peeling the skin off! My daughter's first, and only, tat was a beautiful saying right along the spine... She took it like a champ!
Being completely honest, my elbow was the least painful tattoo I've got. The skin is actually quite thick (just compare it to your inner arms, for instance) and the needle doesn't get anywhere near your bones. IMO, chest and shoulders are at least twice as painful.
Same here my elbows didn’t hurt to do worst one I’ve experienced is my palms
"Worst punishments in the history of mankind : Tattoo on these places."
I weigh ~ 250lbs and am 5ft,9in tall. My ribs have plenty of cushioning.
Nice vid! The Imphographics Show is amazing!
Full arm and leg sleeves plus chest here. Under the arm (armpit-region) was the worst, and back of the knee was pretty bad. Weirdly, the calf was the only one that I felt physically ill after. Happy inking!
Bestie i got you “Dont Get a Tattoo on These Parts of your Body” i lost a few brain cells reading “getting” ngl
The elbow! I was waiting for the end of the video because when I tattooed my both arms, the elbow was something really insane. I was like "it's not possible that I was the only one that felt that much pain in this ridiculous area".
Armpit tattoes gotta be the worst..
I’m very surprised that top of the foot wasn’t on here. Cause, I got one and that ish was horrible!!!
Guys, don’t “getting” a tattoo in the places mentioned!
As a tattoo artist I cant take this seriously with him calling a tattoo machine a gun.
Here before he corrects the spelling mistake in the title
I have a full sleeve and can confirm that the elbow isnt nice to get done, its not just pain but also extreme discomfort
Og remember when the title was “Dont getting these tattoos on these parts of your body” before it was changed
Pepperidge Farm remebers.

lol i typo'd "remebers" haha
I’m glad I watch this cuz I got both my ribs tattooed in college so now I’m not that worried about the rest imma get
"Don't getting a tattoo"
My first was on the top of my Spine and tbh I fell asleep as I found it so relaxing
I have a sleeve and my wrist was the most painful. I'd say as it was thin skin and across a bone. Inside of my elbow, called the dip, and outside were fine
My wrists and ribs were the worst… But of course I’m a skinny bone rack so no surprise there.
@@Ranxerox1911A1 I'm a fat lad so was mostly fine haha I'd say wrist, then inside of bicep worst
The grammar is just 👌🏻
When I was in high school, one of my track team members was so immature and would give me and others a purple nurple randomly. I definitely don’t miss those days
"Dont *getting* a tattoo on these parts of your body"
I got my ellbow tattooed but i find the inner side of the biceps was much more painful
Original title: don't getting a tattoo on these parts of the body
Your welcome
It still says "Getting" on mine
You're* :)
Elbow doesn’t hurt at all, as someone who is absolutely covered, the inside of your bicep and armpit are definitely the worst.
Don’t getting a tattoo on these parts of your body
Just learned about 10 places where im gonna get my next tattoos
I’m surprised how easy my neck was, it was easily the least painful so far
@@the-weirdist my shoulder was my very first one at 16 and like it said you can tell when it hits the bone but like with any tattoo it goes numb after awhile (as long as your artist doesn’t hop around) and will just get the occasional flash of extra pain from when it hits the bone. Hope your piece turns out great though!
The first tattoo that I ever got was a spanning from the make of my neck to halfway down my back right on the spine
Watching this I realise how dumb I was cause people told me that it was gonna be painful but I didn't believe them and well It did initial couple of seconds were about an 7 or 8 on the pain scale
You changed the title of the video but still people will remember you for “Don’t getting a tattoo” as the first title. I know.. us people are mean… or we maybe we like a joke. Good one boys 👍🏻
This needs pinned 🤣
I got a tattoo on my lower right calf. In a way im thankful my spinal cord injury prevented me from feeling the pain from the tattoo.

Yeah, OK. Also, I heard that if you combine the right essential oils, with the right crystals, under the right celestial sky, your body will naturally give itself its own tattoos meditating in the mountains.
I’m a professional tattoo artist. Needle arrangements and / or cartridges can have up to 49 needles! And I wouldn’t be surprised if there were to be even bigger sizes.

It should be don’t get. Don’t be getting doesn’t make sense either.. lol
@@Jay6624 makes much better sense then before. Didn't say I was perfect haha
My elbow and ankle were not bad at all. Arm ditch was by far the worst. I’m getting my inner bicep done next month and dreading it.
My lower spine and my feet/including the tops of my toes and in-between my toes

Everyone very different, I'm working on a sleeve right now were we doing the whole elbow and it wasn't painful at all. There was a small part in the ditch that I found painful, but it was for only a few seconds.
I'm not worried about my back and ribs anymore!
