I love how in the middle of Hercules feats he basically just had to take Cerberus for a walk, Hades was like "hey if you can get him outside for a walk and fresh air as long as he isn't hurt that's cool"
Capturing Cerberus and bringing him to King Eurystheus was actually Hercules's final labor. But it's still a pleasant change of pace that everyone's favorite three-headed doggy didn't get the usual treatment Hercules gave his previous adversaries and instead went for a vacation from his job.
@@korygurman6638 not really? He always chased after anything in a skirt but was a pretty decent (ironically) dad to his daughters. Plus he respected Hestia and her wanting to stay a virgin. Still can't keep it in his pants tho. His children sure do have interesting stories also
Fun Fact: In some versions of the Spynx myth, she'd ask travelers a lesser-known second riddle, presumably as a backup in case someone managed to solve the first. It goes: "There are two sisters: one gives birth to the other and she, in turn, gives birth to the first. Who are the two sisters?" Think you can solve it like Oedipus?
The dragon guarding the Golden Fleece was actually a many headed serpentine dragon named Ladon. Number of heads vary from source to source but the consensus seems to be at least ten. The dragon was born to guard the fleece at all times, wrapped around the tree it was hanging from. It never slept, whenever it did only half the heads would be asleep at one time. Medea did indeed help Jason by using magic, but it was either a spell or potion that put all the heads to sleep so Jason could slay the dragon and take the Fleece.

Because of the movie Hercules people think the horses name is Pegasus it's not a pegasus is just a winged horse is the actual name of the horse is Pterripus also Medusa was not terrifying Medusa was so beautiful that one look at her and every man that sees her will become rock hard
you forgot the *trick* how odicious got out *by telling his name was no one and when he blinded the giant* he said *no one has blinded me* thust none of the other giants did anything
2 edits. 1) It would be more accurate to say that Zeus fought Typhon and lived to tell about it 😂 Most versions would say it took the combined might of most of the olympians to drop Typhon and allow Zeus to finally trap him. And even that took days of nonstop fighting. 2) Ladon definitely deserves a spot. Ladon is by far the strongest dragon mentioned in all of Greek myth. Raised by the daughters of Atlas, the Hesperides, Ladon was made to guard the golden apples of Hera (I think)? His scales are said to be indestructible and he has 50 heads, each capable and spewing poison on par with the hydra's and fire so hot he could melt a mountain into a puddle. I heard you mention 'A' dragon on the list and some of the feats sound familiar but for clarity sake I just thought you should know.....if you didn't already at least.
In Indian mythology also A snake is there named Kalia Who had many heads And it's breath was poisonous However Lord Krishna performed tandav on his head to control him
The gorgon.... its gaze could turn men to stone..... you could use a.mirror, or you could cut off its head...... but that is the hard way Which way did you choose? The hard way
Nice job omitting _why_ Herc killed his family. It wasn’t for no reason. The short version is Hera infected Herc's mind while he was in the middle of battle and caused him to go insane, in which he _mistakenly_ killed his family. Why did she do that? Basically, as an act of revenge against Zeus for one of his _many_ acts of infidelity, of which Herc was a result of. But, ya know. Context! Who needs it? Apparently not Infographics.
Tartarus is Gaea's parasitic twin. He lives inside her. So when the titans were thrown into Tartarus sure they were inside Gaea but really they were inside Tartarus inside gaea.
How did Hercules skin the Nemean Lion if the skin was impervious to all weapons including presumably knives? Well there's more than one way to skin a cat 🥁
Scylla aka know in modern days as Kraken. Clash of titan movies. Seeing been turn to stone by Medusa severed head. Don t know if its part of mythology but seems legit.
According to greek mythology jason had thrown the teeth at service to athena then men had sprouted and fought until the best five was made to help build a new city ... or so im taught and see on google

Heracles NOT Hercules - Mythology Guy
According to Greek Mythology, Chiron was a half-human, half-horse doctor.
This made him the Centaur for Disease Control.
the ancient CDC
What colour is your chiron
Thanks!
That thumbnail monster looks exactly like an old Yugioh card monster called Big Eye
I worship the greek gods.
Also thought that when I seen the Thumbnail
came here to say this
I grew up reading all of the Greek myths. This video made my day. :D
A few of Typhon's myths has him heavily injury most of the gods, crippling Zeus as well
Herakles killed his family because Hera drove him insane.
Thanks for that information! 👍
Considering all of the problems she caused, Hera should rank high on the list of "most terrifying Greek monsters".
@@schroedingersdog7965
Hardly, insulting someone in greek myths is a big thing especialy a god.
Ditto gotta avoid being smited am I right
That's right.
leaving all of these behind, we all know Zeus was a monster on the BED.

More like monster to women 😂

greek mythology HAS to be my favorite to watch on infographics (except for the nuclear war one:)
I worship the greek gods.
Why do you keep repeating this @@Pomni740
@8:40 Oh, and Odysseus cleverly gave out his name as "Nobody" to Polyphemus, so Polyphemus would say that "nobody" hurt him.

I worship the greek gods.
Yup it is 😂
Thank you for the update, The Infographics Show..!! Amazing narration and animation..!! 16:12 Poor Medusa. May she rest in peace.
BS! That was a version of a roman, so it is basicaly meaningless.
As someone who took greek mythology class in school without ever needing it, I see this list as a absolute win 😅😂
I worship the greek gods.
@@Pomni740okay?
Great episode!!!
I worship the greek gods.
Indeed.
Called it. Typhon was so powerful, Zeus himself had to fight him.
So Cerberus let's you pet him on your way into the underworld? Thanatos, take me now!
Argus had quite the reputation before he became a camp half blood counselor.
Glad I wasn't the only one who was excited to see him here because of the camp
me too i love percy jackson
Hercules killed his family because he was driven mad by Hera, though, not because he wanted to do such a thing.
I seem to remember something about a poisoned wedding vest that made the big guy go postal. Peace.
@@billc.4584 all compliments of Hera, I'm sure lol
It was also partly cuz of his wife’s credit card bill
Good job 💯 The Infographic Show finally something different!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Top monster: Zeus’s, uh… “CARNAL” appetite. That thing caused trouble on a divine scale. I’m sure Hera can vouch. 😂
Zeus was beyond outta pocket, his actions would have had him put down if he wasn’t a god.
did you think we wouldn't notice the character in the thumbnail is from a yu-gi-oh! card?

Day and night. Although, I had to look it up as my first answer would be the chicken and the egg.
I heard there's also versions of the nemion lion fight where he stabbed it in the mouth because only the skin was impenetrable
Another video that I want is about the origin of vampires and Arabian mythical creatures
Cerberus is just a good doggie that wants some pets.
"Release the Kraken!"
The Kraken was actually from Scandinavian folklore, not Greek.
Zeus smashed everything breathing. Mortal or not.
That lion really seemed like he was enjoying Hercules company 3:10 🤔😂

Being a Greek myself I totally upvote for the video .
Good video.
"Needs moar snakes"
- The Greeks
U better do a part 2 for this about other monsters like centaurs, satyrs and keres.
99.9% of Millenials and Zoomers got all their Greek mythology from playing the GOD OF WAR games.

At first, I thought it said "geek monsters," and I got excited because I thought there were finally monsters that I could get along with.
I was hoping to see the Hekatonchires on this list as im a fan of AC Odyssey

14:28 - Cerberus - Brilliantly portrayed in Disney Hercules and Harry Potter 🐕

BRO, THIS THUMBNAIL IS LITERALLY A YUGIOH MONSTER CARD- BIG EYE HAHAHA
Would be great if you make a video about hercules labors
Loved the Monty Python reference :)
Typhon sounds like an asteroid exploding in the atmosphere.
People: Terrifying monsters! Ahhh!!!
Hercules: Can they fight though?
Hercules killed his wife and kids because Hera caused him to go insane and see them as monsters... Kind of important piece of information
They're terrifying. Until a big "O" appears above their heads after you beat them enough.
Zeus and Hera were literally the WORST 😂

Hercules wasn't the one at fault for killing his family, it was Hera she did it to make his life miserable like she does with all Zeus's children.

Have you done different Demi gods or mythical beings from Norse mythology? Like lokis children and stuff
You should've stuck with Heracles! This is Greek, not Roman!!!
Why is the thumbnail Big Eye from Yugioh?

That explains how Félix Fathom came up with the name Argos. After Argus. And Félix references Lord Shen.
I honestly expected the hecatonchires to be on the list.
When he was talking Heracles killing his wife he forgot to mention Hera drove him mad which ended after he killed his wife
Haven't finished yet but I'm guessing Typhon is number 1?
Should be
You should do a video called you VS GUTS
Sampson in Greek

In Indian mythology also
A snake is there named Kalia
Who had many heads
And it's breath was poisonous
However
Lord Krishna performed tandav on his head to control him
I wonder if Medusa's gaze would have worked on Typhon.
Medusa's head was painted on stoves to scare children away... according to the History channel.
Bruh, the thumbnail pic looks like a Yu-Gi-Oh card... 🤣
Kraken?
Big Eye, from Yu-Gi-Oh? What's he doing on the cover?
The basic enemies in Devil May Cry 5 are called empusas, they are bug-like disgusting things that are nothing like the original legend.
