Thanks for a great year Omar. Appreciate all the work and guidance. Somehow I had slept on Locke & Key because it looked YA, but on your rec read it, and was one of my top reads of the year.
Omar, when watching your november haul, I saw Asterios Polyp was part of it and it is just wonderful. It will be in my top 3 favourite reading this year. I also saw Berlin and that convinced me to finally pick it up after years of it being on my wish list!!
A well read book collection is far more satisfying over the long run of your life; more satisfying than an anxious and overly protected collection. Just get in there and read, don't fret the books condition, only floppies really retain their collectors value over the long run anyway. Collected Editions from the big two will almost always be reprinted eventually. To be more philosophical...when you pass on you can't take the books with you. But maybe, just maybe, you can take the stories you have read. - Peace.
Great video as always Omar, glad to see Shirtless Bear Fighter in here. That's one that I loved this year and that makes an appearance on my Top 10 reads of 2021
Barbaric by Vault Comics is worth a look. About a barbarian and his talking axe! $20 cover. Supposed to be a series of limited series with the next volume coming out in 2022.
Omar..the gift that keeps on giving.!! Just ordered " satellite coming "..cant beat a bit of sci-fi..!! Thanks for the great content as usual and a merry Christmas to you and your clan..!
Scifi and fantasy hidden gem recommendations: Redline by Neal Holman & Robert E. Howard's Hawks of Outremer by Michael Alan Nelson. Both definitely adult books :D
Blackbird is so great. I remember an artist did layouts and Bartel did finishes over them because she had problems adjusting to sequential art coming from static illustration work. Femme Magnifique is a great hidden gem contender I read earlier this year. The comic is biopic style short stories of women who have/had a heavy influence and impact on the world.
Aw thanks. I just moved them to a purely comic channel cuz most people watch here for the TMZ / political content and I figured it'd be best to separate the two. The reviews are on JDA Talks Comics
Hidden Gems from the vyKINGdom: We'll Soon Be Home Again (Dark Horse) Cemetery Beach (Image) First Knife (Image) Judas (Boom) Ether (Dark Horse) and of course, The End League (Dark Horse)
Great video guys! Always love the hidden gems! Tomine is awesome. I got one for ya: Nao of Brown by Glyn Dillon. Beautiful beautiful artwork with an equally beautiful and moving story! Check it out. Anyone who loves incredibly beautiful comic art and story telling will get something out of this book. Bonus points if you have any interest in Buddhism.

Great series. We need more of these videos!
That bear fighter sounds like an extreme version of Tarzan LOL.. Happy Holidays bro
One that I read recently was Eighty Days from Archaia. Great art and world building, and the type of story your wife would enjoy too, I think.
Is that a new trigun piece behind you I never noticed it.
Wrong earth volume 2 is out now also!
killing and dying sounds great! will definitely read it
Everything Adrian Tomine is.

I need to check that out.
Grass Kings in library/HC format!
Check out the Many Death of Laila Starr from Boom Studio by Ram & Felipe Amdrade. Heart felt artwork & story. Thank you for the hidden gem segment.
I’d recommend Spell on Wheels as a good witchy hidden gem
