I just want to let you know how grateful i am that you exist. Your videos are the only quality revit tutorial on youtube i know. Thank god you upload often too
You all prolly dont care but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me!
You are honestly the best. Every time I'm struggling with a revit function, you always have the perfect video explanation to put me on the right track. Thanks for your hard work!
Literally every single one of your videos are incredibly helpful! I watch these all the time and it helps me at work and its very easy to follow along. Thank you for sharing these!
As usual, clearly presented and perfectly effective. The only time I look in my Revit books (Aubin & "No Experience Required") is when I can't find a Balkan video pertaining to the specific subject. Also working my way slowly through subscribed courses, but sometimes only a quick tip like this is needed.
Old school stuff!...most of site plans will be oriented the way it will fit on the sheet in a comfortable scale. Obviously it gets more complicated if you are using a 24×36 D format and your project is from mid to large size. Also, even if you have a small job and your site plan is depicted with the true north but your floor plans are not, someone on the building site will remember your name when comparing the sheets while trying to built the project. But it is good to know it specially if you have a government or agency requiring their own guidelines or standards.
so I had to rotate the hole project now after a late announcement from my manager and I wanted to ask how can I rotate the whole projects views by one time ?
Thanks Balkan, your tutorials are always the best! my question is how do you do this for the 3D view? it doesn't have an orientation selection, is it always on true north? mostly matters for shadows I guess.
So I know true north is the way to go. Question is when you bring a point cloud. Do you set point cloud ahead of time true north. Or rotate it all within revit
only applicable for architecture, but if we import the surface from Civil 3D this technique is not relevant as in Civil 3D we already design the site surface as per survey data and location provided by surveyor
I created site plan with an existing building footprint which is offset from project north, with co-ordinates in true north mode, when I go to regular floor plan and switch to project north it remains as is,when I set and rotate to project north everything is exploded? In otherwise you have drawn a site plan in project in project North mode,I have done it in true north mode how do I reverse the process?
why does the building move to the side when i rotate 180 degrees, i place in the middle of projece base point and set angle to true north to 180 degrees
How would you go about to rotate to true north if one were to let PBP stay in Internal Origin? Does one have to change working method? I know many in Architecture like to move the PBP but in Construction Design we don't xP
hello there, thanks a lot for the videos, is there a way to insert the streets width and the site border for Google map and its accurate directions, thank you in advance
Hellow Balkan Architect. I am truly mesmerized by your tutorials. I would be really grateful to you if you could make a video on "Nine bridges roof structure".

Please do a video on shared coordinates
many thanks
Exellent how usualy
You are really great.
Useful tutorial !
Thank you so much
In mostly cases True North should stay True North because it is True. You must change Project North orientation.
Thank you. Can I ask you to make a tutorial about how you use schedules for slabs, windows, curtain walls and doors for several floors? Thank you!
Good topic, I already have some schedule videos, but I'll definitely make more!
@@balkanarchitect Thank you very much!)
Good video!! Thanks, a lot!
Really helpfull tutorial thank you sir
THANKS A LOT
u solved my problem thank uuuu
Good man
Where can you find the true north image if its not ion your revit folder in families??
thank you :)
hello balkan is it advisable to do camera view in true north.in order to have the right sun and shadow castings.
so I had to rotate the hole project now after a late announcement from my manager and I wanted to ask how can I rotate the whole projects views by one time ?
Where do you recommend to study a master in BIM?
U missed out the most critical one which is to understand survey orientation numbers..to create a north symbol is not the right way ..
How to draw Erraguller plot in revit
Thanks Balkan, your tutorials are always the best!
my question is how do you do this for the 3D view? it doesn't have an orientation selection, is it always on true north?
mostly matters for shadows I guess.
is there an option where I can draw first the property lines oriented to true north then that's when i rotate my project north?
I acquired the Balkan architecture template but it seems that in the site view I Am not able to change the orientation to the true north.
Great video! What about elevetaions, Are they showing fasade according to true orentation of north or project north?
Elevations rotate with the building
@@balkanarchitect It didn't. elevations remained in project north orientation.
when there is a property line this get a little more complicated(as observed by the property line tags). Could You do a video on that please.?
Hello Balkan , Could you please uplaod interview questions for BIM Modler ? and How to prepare for Project Base ? Thank you
Great video but why did he angle it at 60degrees,
So I know true north is the way to go. Question is when you bring a point cloud. Do you set point cloud ahead of time true north. Or rotate it all within revit

Well I want to thank u, but after i rotate to the true north, the sunpath is not on project center. if u can help me to centralize sun path on project
My Orientation in Properties does not have a True North option. I've been searching around and could not find an answer.
why does the building move to the side when i rotate 180 degrees, i place in the middle of projece base point and set angle to true north to 180 degrees

I know many in Architecture like to move the PBP but in Construction Design we don't xP
And it's object slightly off axis for everyone.
hello there, thanks a lot for the videos, is there a way to insert the streets width and the site border for Google map and its accurate directions, thank you in advance

I get this notification "The References of the highlighted Dimension are no longer parallel." is this alright?
Balkan I am huge fan of your but I am quite disappointed for short vedio and next time make it lengthy and cover more points:)
I am not able to unpin the base point
Anyway I

Thank you so much
