- Hey, everyone! I'm back!
These things are hard to make, so this isn't for reupload. You can, however, modify it however you want. Remember to give credit? :) - Фільми й анімація
gotta say, I love how it feels like Smith's intro while being it's own thing
Logo is a million times better than the powerpoint animation png of the official one, they really need to do something more like you at christmas or at least for Season 1.
Thanks! Yeah, the logo was one of the unusual parts of the sequence, what with how it stops zooming into the camera/scaling up *before* it stops rotating. Feels weird, so I just kinda got rid of the spin & fixed the motion and timing issues. One of the few (who am I kidding, many) things that I decided I had to change over the original!
Series 14
@@wanbawmcgraw That’s probably what I’ll be calling it most of the time from muscle memory
@@filmicvisuals It says a lot when the 1970's title sequence was able to use the logo transition better than the how they're currently doing it. Awesome work with your iteration of the title sequence by the way.
Except this one is actually 2d, rather than their clearly 3d version.
This is one of the most well made titles I’ve seen in a while, I love how you actually managed to sync the logo flying in with the music.
Excellent job!
I’ve been watching this too many times - it’s TOO GOOD OH MY GOODNESS - I LOVE HOW THE LOGO ENTERS AND THEN BECOMES THE PRINT VERSION - it’s just 😫😫😫😫
Hey BBC... THIS is how you do it 😂 hell, fixing a couple of timing issues and the logo's lack of lighting/motion blur would do just fine
I prefer the visual style of the original overall, but the timing and general fixes this one made is phenomenal. Hell, it even fixed the opening spin, it looks so un natural in the original. If they adopted similar animations and tweaks but with the visual style they've already established it would border on perfect
Can't fault you there! Visual style is all over the place for this intro. I wanted to replicate it *exactly* but obviously that isn't the case -- I may have realized tweaking fluid simulations to perfectly match a reference can take way too much time and I'm not a fan of waiting around, having it render, only to see it's not what I want 😭
THATS INSANELY IMPRESSIVE! The cloudy vortex looks so much more satisfying than the original one! Amazing job!!
Thank you! There really is a lot of issues with it and I look at it with a mix of pride but also discontentment, but I'm glad this is out now and somewhat acceptable 😭
Wow just wow three words ' Wow '
You'd be disgusted if this was the real title sequence.
Not only does the Vortex look more real, but it's structured far nicer! The title is even in sync! Brilliant!
That vortex at the end looks FAR better than the real one! Really impressive!
Have to disagree there, I’d say it’s on par but there’s more colour to the original
@@NotAgnor Have to disagree there looks FAR better than the real one!
@@NotAgnor To me, this one feels like it has more depth, energy and contrast to it. The official one feels a bit flat and oversaturated. That said, the official one is my least favourite vortex design by quite some margin
Ohmigawsh, I swear this looks like how I envisioned the perfect titles sequence!!!! FOR REAL!!! I think I’m dreaming, this looks amazing!
I wish neonvisual still uploaded imagine if they did an intro recreation for the 60th titles
Gives a nice aesthetic to the titles.
The fact that Disney got involved for doctor who and you have done it better 💀🤣 OUTSTANDING JOB MAN!
Happy 60th Anniversary, Doctor Who! It's been a while, and I love this show too much to leave such a celebration without my own take on it.
I'll be honest and say that 75% of the reason why I wanted to recreate it is because of the smoke and volumetrics that seem to be the main theme of this title sequence, and let me tell you -- waiting for fluid simulations to finish can get tiring really fast. After just a few days, I'd gotten sick of it, and I knew that if I forced myself to keep going, this'd sit forever dormant in my hard drive.
So, this title sequence, as it is, is very imperfect for me. So many things I want to change (I didn't even model the new TARDIS -- just changed the light colors!) but if I sink any more time into this, it'll never see the light of day. So here it is in all of its impurity! Enjoy!
The fact you pulled through all the rendering times and simulations deserves enough praise itself. This is beautiful! Great work. - I gave it an attempt and just couldn't make it work. In the end I settled for a 2005 restyled variant, which drops tomorrow ;)
@@Valox Very flattering to have you here! Thank you so much for the kind words! I'll be sure to drop by for yours! 😁
This fixes the awful timing on the actual intro
Great job!
This is Beautiful!💙💜💙
Oh, my, gosh, this is coolll!!
Very close! Color me impressed. 😊
Thank you! Huge fan of your work, so I'm flattered to have you here!
Sensational. Absolutely brilliant amended version. Incredible work
Wow! This is probably the best recreated i tro ive ever seen! Impressive effects man!!!
Awesome! Love the work
SO realistic!! I love it!!
Amazing! So much better than what they went with.
this is so cool as always wtf daaamn 🔥
this is much better than the official one. well done
I liked more than the original, perfect job
Incredible work! Please hire this guy!
(It's me Squicx, I used to comment a lot but this a new account) You've saved us again btw. This intro is WAYYYYYYYYYY better than the slop we kinda got atm. Good concept, poor rendering! Just like the Journey's End video, this is another masterpiece
Glad to have you here! I remember you! Thanks so much! It's still super imperfect -- I think the original is better, but I really do feel like, given time, I could top it. Sadly I don't live in a world where I have infinite time and I have other things to do 😭
What I think would be brilliant is if the tardis went to is roof side and sort of merged to the logo out of it
the title is sinced im happy
THIS IS SO SICKKKKKKKKKKK I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELCOME BACK MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS DUDE IMY!!! AND HAPPY 60TH (even though ik u dont watch it HAHAH)
Sheeeesh, awesome!
I did not expect to see you here! I miss you man! Thank you!
Wow that's super impressive!
You managed to get the tardis to do the shakey thing in does in the intro. congrats! Not many recreations have tardises like this
YOU LINED THE LOGO UP TO THE THEME THANK GOD. already miles better than the og
this just might be the best one I've seen in a long time
Man that logo is so much better. Well done mate
This recreation blew my mind, I would of 100% seen this as if they revisited animated adventures.
Imagine *that* being the official title sequence for Ncuti Gatwa's era! 🤩👏
Pretty good effort!
Nice work. What I would really love to see though is a version that doesn't have any cuts. And somehow incorporates the names in a way that's less silly (maybe projecting them on the side of the vortex, and panning/rotating to the other side, instead of having the Tardis comically zip back on itself for no reason) - although this version is slightly better in that the second Tardis cross is further away
Fantastic ❤❤
Impressive, very impressive, well done to you good sir 👏
its pretty good
What can I say that everyone else hasn't said. THIS IS SO FANTASTIC!!! I guess I'm a bit overwhelmed to think of anything else nice to say.
WOW
Perfect.
the end is better (except for the tardis going under the logo) but for everything else It's a fine recreation... sorry.
wow that looks far better shots of the Tardis in the vortex than the TV version, nicely done!!
I'm sad they're not completely faithful -- but in trying to recreate them, some of them just looked bad (my fault, not theirs) so I had to just do my own take even if they weren't completely accurate :(
Still a Fantastic job :)
Thank you, man! And awesome to have you here!
❤❤❤❤❤❤so much better
u gotta realise the budget for bbc when making doctor who
honestly actually better than the original
This is better then the original
I personally prefer the original but this is still really good 👍
When you turn RTX on for Doctor Who
Oh this is a fantastic recreation! I'm not too fond of the shaky cam however, and I would've made the sequence just a bit faster paced. Just things for next time! Still a marvellous recreation (with an objectively better logo reveal)
This might be a hot take but I find this better then the official one, Tardis could use some touch ups ofc here but everything else looks amazing!
Woah, it looks very good ! I think I prefer it over the official one !
Woow, I like it
Would love to see the final results! With a higher res smoke sim.
This is really good. If you had spent a lot more time on this (not saying this is bad or anything) it would definitely be far better than the original, especially with the fluid FX. Only issues are the animating and how the clouds look like 2d vectors.
The reason why the original one looks so weird is because I reckon multiple different people worked on the separate shots throughout which makes it not just disjointed but misdirect, there are some shots that look far better than others and the colour grading is all over the place, and the smoke looks too blocky, this one although you can tell it doesn't have the same amount of people working on it, still manages to exceed the quality of the original in some aspects, I applaud you
I believe the camera shake adds to it a considerable amount, haha
How did you do the Vortex? This is amazing!
That awkward moment when a fan made intro looks better than the actual intro
Please do a tutorial or breakdown video about this!!🙏🙏🙏
BBC hire this man
Obviously the rendering and oberall realism isnt as expensive, but I prefer that the TARDIS is much more visible in this one. In the original its too close up and off centre.
the BBC gotta hire fans cos somehow they do better ngl :D
Awesome, may you tell me how you did the vfx?
Good but i bugs me how the tardis surfing the vortex isn’t in line with the music like the original is
Impressive work! It really shows that it's amateur, but I'm sure that if you gave it, like, _a lot_ more hours of work you could top the original.
Love to see someone dedicating to these kind of visual effects
Yeah! You can for sure see some funky stuff that screams amateur, but I'm very glad that you think given time I'd top the original! That's a huge compliment.
I feel like I could, too? But time is not on my side :( It'd probably take me weeks or months, and by then I'd be a lot more sick of working on it (not to mention I have... school stuff) than I already am and so here it is despite everything!
@@filmicvisuals I mean, professionals obviously put a lot more hours into these projects and also have more previous experience which makes them use these hours more efficiently, in a way.
But anybody can reach the level of a professional given enough training, I reckon. So if this is your dream career I'm absolutely sure you can pursue it.
Best of luck, really!
@@Zestieee Thank you so much! That means a lot -- hopefully it does become true!
Crazy
Better than the original
This is actually fantastic! Any chance you could upload a clean version? Eg: No actor names and Episode title? IT would be amazing just for personal use as I wouldn't be sharing it online. I completely understand if not :) Well done anyway tho omg
I'd be more than happy to normally! unfortunately there's been a bit of a snafu with the project files and the machine I was editing this on kinda died on me. Hopefully I can recover the files and rerelease a clean version, or even an improved version down the line... fingers crossed?
Always better then bbc titles
I bizarrely find this near perfect recreation better than the official one. I don't even know how that's possible. Bravo, regardless!
What software did you use?
HOW
please tell me that you also hear burping from minecraft!
0:20 Overall, this is great, but I still hate this zoom shot on the original. It bothers me.
It's not the greatest for me, either, so many things I wanted to change but I really wanted to keep most of the shot composition the same (ish)!
@@filmicvisuals You did a fantastic job. I feel like this era in some VFX cases is the one where I think a lot of talented fans could do better than what is on screen.
cool as this is, the names do not sync to the music and it makes me sad
The names actually do sync with the music, just not in the traditional way it always has with NuWho intros! They stay for approximately two bars each name, and are also two bars earlier than when they usually appear. If it's any consolation, I did tweak the Doctor Who logo to show up when it usually does!
how is this logo better then the offical one?
Tutorial?
For the techniques utilized here? It isn't that groundbreaking! TARDIS, smoke simulations, compositing -- pretty much 95% of it. There are tutorials out there for those techniques that do it a lot better than I do! But maybe someday...
Hello Could You Release Clean Titles
Your poor GPU... 😂
I was for sure pegging it for HOURS. Again, it got tired *fast* 😅 and by then I just wanted it out. It's rushed, for sure, but it won't be here if I let it burn me out any longer and it'd be too late for the 60th!
How did u make the vortex? And the rings of light
The various "vortexes" (first two) were pure smoke simulations! The final vortex with the Doctor Who logo was created with Trapcode Particular, with the sprites themselves being smoke simulations with a torus as an emitter!
+1
!!
Mejor que de.la.bbc
looks like a tackier version.
The is very well done.
