- Come along with me as I go about my homemaking routine and labor with my eighth baby. I will also discuss how I'm making peace with birth interventions despite my desire for a natural childbirth.
I'll also share how to make amazing cheese curds and a family-favorite easy dinner recipe.
Update: Our baby is here! I will share his birth story in an upcoming video soon!

I found you today. I want to say that even though I'm a mother to three adult children and 9 years old twins I adopted and 7 grandchildren, you are an inspiration! You're living my dream. I try to make everything healthy and from scratch. I have a garden and utilize everything in it. It's such a great feeling when your hard work yields fresh produce. Canning and preserving bring me to a happy place. It's so rewarding seeing the fruits of your labor. Childbirth isn't always what we have pictured. I had complications, but God was with me holding my hand. The part where you said to basically relax and give up your control and surrender. I was picking blackberries trying to make myself go into full labor. Contractions all day, but still, my labor didn't lead to a baby. Pitocin (sp?) makes the labor so much harder. I love your outlook on life and family. I've always wanted to live a little house on the prairie life. I look forward to watching more of your content. Thank you, you are beautiful!
Thank you, your comments warmed my heart. ❤️ I love finding others on here with a similar passion for a homemade life. Thanks for watching!
The part about giving up control brought a tear to my eye. I’m 6 months pregnant w third child after a hard loss and 2 births that also didn’t go quite as planned, and I’ve been having anxiety about outcomes and birth. I am also natural minded somewhat and like to be in control. I know this is what the Lord wanted me to hear today, to surrender and ultimately to trust in Him. Thank you ❤️ congratulations on your little one!
I’m so glad this was helpful. ❤️ Thank you and I hope all goes wonderfully for you too!
Praying for you ❤️ I delivered baby #4 in August after an extremely anxious pregnancy. It went so so smoothly. It's so hard to give up control and accept the unknowns.
Have you thought about hiring a doula? Have you heard about hypnobabies? That helped me when I was having a lot of anxiety after a traumatic birth experience.
My first birth was almost identical to yours. I believe my labor stalled so long because I truly did not want to be in the hospital. With my next birth I stayed home with a midwife…I noticed that didn’t go quite as planned because I still felt a presence at my birth that just didn’t belong. I chose to birth my 3rd and 4th at home without a midwife….those were the smoothest most amazing births and postpartum periods for me and baby! Congratulations on your new bundle!
Thank you! Wow, that is so interesting! With me, my labors always take off quickly when I get to the hospital. So maybe it’s because I’m actually more comfortable there. ❤️🤷♀️
Thank you very much. You shine the faithful light of Jesus
That’s such a wonderful compliment. Thanks for watching. ❤️
Praying for quick healing and a healthy delivery! ❤
Thank you! ❤️
Also, I love your living room and the view from it!!
Thank you, yes, we are very spoiled with our view! ❤️
Also as you’re making the cheese, you look so focused, so zen, so beautiful, like a mama who’s been around this block a few times. I love the birth process so much,
Thank you! It is nice to be able to flow through things like making cheese. Makes it relaxing. ❤️
Such great tips and encouragement for other Moms. Praying healing and rest for you Stacy. You certainly always do your best. I’m amazed at all you accomplish so late in your pregnancy. God bless you and your family! Val C ❤🙏🏻
Thank you Val! ❤️
I experienced prodromal labor with my first child before the discovery of physical reasons that prohibit natural birth. Three c-sections later, I am grateful for the beautiful sons God gave me.
So awesome that God gave us options like c-sections for situations like yours. ❤️

Same here, 3 boys also! But I wasn’t allowed to go into labor- I had HELLP syndrome, but all my boys are healthy!
I am so glad your video popped up for me! What a lovely video. All my births never went as I wanted or planned. It was bittersweet. I am so glad you shared the information about the spinning babies website, miles circuit, etc. I was a doula for a decade and was super passionate about women knowing all the resources out there. It's been since 2008 since I had my last living baby. And 2011 since I last attended births. Honestly you can do all the things to try to get a baby out but if your body is not ready to yield or it could stress baby out.....or more interventions than you'd like or even end up with a surgical ending. I pray that your most recent birth ended up being a wonderful experience full of great support and an easy transition into a mom of 8. What a blessing ❤ You gained a new subscriber.
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I am happy to say that while it certainly didn't go as planned, it was beautiful birth. I have a video out now with all of the details. Thank you for subscribing!❤️
I appreciated talking honestly about accepting interventions. After having 4 kids with an epidural, and trying everything to help me dilate, I have had to accept that I struggle to get my body to relax without an epidural, and that I have very long (1 - 2 1/2 minute) and intense contractions that never get closer than 5 minutes apart that are very hard for me to cope with. It's always been my dream to have an unmedicated birth, but after 4 tries, a doula, and having health complications with my 4th, I am having to accept that an epidural is a blessing for me; I am thankful for them. Especially since I do know that, with my first birth, I probably would have died in past ages (76 hours of labor... I got the epidural after 55 hrs).
I feel this! With my first they were preparing me for a c-section when I finally caved and got an epidural. It was the answer to dilating for me too! Everyone is different. Every birth is different. Having an empowered birth means calling the shots according to your mommy intuition, and that can look very different every time. Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️
Such a beautiful example of the Lord’s grace even through our pregnancies. Praying for you to feel that balm we read about from scripture that is restorative to our souls, something that only comes from Jesus. And to think that He orchestrated it all so you’d come to trust Him more and surrender to His good plans for you, Staci. SO excited for your family and the new gift you’ve received ❤️ P.S. Getting a dip into the upper 20s here soon! Sending love and warm greetings from Jacksonville, FL 💕❄️
Absolutely! Thank you, stay warm! That sounds pretty cold for Florida! ❤️
Prodromal labor is so hard! I had it with my sixth. The abdominal lift and tuck finally helped get the baby engaged, but it was slow going. I'm now waiting on baby#7 and I'll be praying for you this week! ♥️
Thank you! Baby is here and all is well! I wish the best for you with #7. ❤️
Also, (lol) I feel you about interventions. My twins (#6&7) needed a C-section. They were transverse and 7 lbs and 7 lbs 13 oz. So they were FIRMLY PACKED. There was still so much magic and beauty in their birth. Primarily the “babies in 5 minutes” labor. Much shorter than my usual 20-24 hour labors
Oh wow! Yes, I’ve never had a c-section but agree that every birth is a beautiful miracle. ❤️
Love your pantry
Thank you! ❤️
Wow amazing❤❤❤❤❤

Hey Stacey, you are truly amazing. You did look so tired. I do hope you have had opportunity to rest a little while since birth. lol. Great video.

What a beautiful video... I am watching it but i can't have children...
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm sure the concepts can be applied to many areas of life... making peace with our situation when things don't go our way.
Oh u go girl I had three with nothing u get certain or time just do it
Natural birth is definitely hard but totally worth it!
I'm new to this channel. Where are all the 7 kids?
They are all around me, but as they get older they just prefer to stay out of the shots when I’m filming.
Ok, have to share my crazy. So before my 3rd, 4th, 5th kiddos, the ones I homebirthed, I’d wake up early Friday morning in labor, (yep, all 3 times) and get up between 3-4 am and made baked beans from scratch. 😂. Why baked beans? No clue.
Oh wow, that is crazy! 😅 So cool though!
What does your husband do for a living?
Surly you would have to double that chicken meal for all your family .
I wish I would have but the thighs I normally use go further. I was fine though when I added sides.
I wonder how the house was immaculate & no children around..?
@@lindadyck6398 well, she has a husband, who would know that she’s on the edge of labor, and they have a whoooole living situation where the kids could be occupied. I’m not sure what you were trying to imply, but it sounded bitter and cynical.
