Yeah he seems like a good guy, makes good content, good analyzer. Think he may be my favorite gaming youtuber.
He is tied woth a couple for me, but it is more of I have 3 favorites who are each my favorite for a type of video. For a quick intro to indy games he is my favorite UA-camr.

The colonist interactions are a lot more similar to dwarf fortress. But dwarf fortress 'hides' those interactions in a wall of text.
So it's a city populated by twitch chat and you're the lone moderator

this seems more like a "build a society with a bunch of little guys that you hate but love and help them thrive" in contrast to Rimworld's "EXPLOIT EVERY RESOURCE TO THE LAST DROP"
Some tips/corrections:
1. Tin doesn't actually exist in the game. Copper is enough to craft Bronze Weapons and Armor.
2. Heating up rooms takes time and rooms only get heated when there is a character in the room (unless you click on the hearth and check the option maintain temp - but in my experience this is only really necessary if you want to maximize the temperature need of babies/children to gain more development points for them)
3. Likes and Dislikes (e.g. which jobs they like) of your colonists as well as prisoners can be changed by modyifing the beliefs of your kingdom and then letting one of your colonists preach to the character whose opinions you want to change.
4. The difficulty of raids seems to fluctuate quite a lot and if you unlucky you might get a very difficult raid early on, so I'd advise saving the game from time to time.
I have played this game a lot because I love the crazy behaviour of the little dudes. It makes me happy.
so it's rimworld but everyone is EVEN MORE petty and nothing will ever get done. sounds great xD

I'm so excited that you're covering this game. It's such a delightful twist on the survival colonization genre which I've been following and playing for years now. There's nothing else quite like it out there right now. I only wish it had a stronger modding scene.
About dang time this game gets some recognition! Its an absolute joy and so much fun to play

I have had this one for some time now and it is always an enjoyable one to pick up on occasion for sure.
Don’t have time to watch but I have a second to say you are the best!
At 6:48 where you talk about the mines, if you go every 3rd row so you have 2 paths in between, it will go faster and cover more ground while achieving the same goal.
Been enjoying the game for a few months now, the character interactions are still rough but show a lot of promise. A lot of heart and humor in this title.
A vegan getting into a fight over leather boots? Sounds legit.

What you don't want to make arsenic bronze. Fun fact, if you have, I believe arsenic the metal and copper you can make our arsenic bronze. Would not recommend it though because it will cut your life very short.

Ive been pirating it on and off and yesterday i finally bought it after i learned about all the updates and i wont lie after No Mans Sky this game is my second best purchase , insanely fun. I just hope the devs add more decorations, buildings and stuff.

Always wanted to try one of these. Honestly I think this might be it. I don't know if there's dwarf blood in my veins but something about the Z level is super appealing to me.
So basically it's more dwarf fortress than rimworld (which itself is basically df light with a different environment). Sounds great.
This looks like a great replacement for Gnomoria, which was abandoned at like 70% completeness. Excited!

Sounds like Dwarf Fortress
I know RimWorld is the game people know, this is much closer to Dwarf Fortress it looks like (which is the thing RimWorld copied as well, which is fine). It's basically "cute" DF. Presumably it has a lot less complexity, but that's expected because it's much younger. It does look like it's aiming for the complexity of DF where RW tries to simplify everything.

Not to be that guy, but an is used when the following word has a vowel leading, not a consonant. An abnormaly large parade of elephants. A funny looking elephant. Still great content! Love your stuff
It seems that you use it with things that start with H as well. It leads to things that sound silly to the ear like "an historic.". It is weird.

You should not mine every 2nd row, you instead mine every 3rd row.
That way you mine less squares and still have access to all possible mineral squares.
And when you only do every 3rd row instead of every 2nd row, you mine less squares = less time = More efficient.
Are you saying you should mine every 3rd or you should every 2nd. Your wording is very confusing

@@tonightscake4127 In Minecraft you can do every 4th row because veins will almost always have a thickness of 2. Which means you will find 99.999% of veins like that, but save a lot on time.

It could be a quirk of "an Hilarious" and him changing the word to "Humourous", it's technically fine to write because H can be seen as a vowel in pronunciation apparently.

@@georgegibb4546 no, it's called silent letters. Neither of those words have a silent H followed by a vowel, so should be "a hilarious/humorous". Honest, hour, heir, honor, those would use 'an'.

I can't play this game. The diplomacy/interaction system is awful and tedious. If I could turn it off, I'd play it all the time.
