This saved me too! I needed to add some refrigerant but I think the gauge is just a bit of a bum gauge, seems to stick a little so even though I was completely in the green zone, the A/C was blowing warm so I fixed it today by using this method and I had to fiddle with the gauge a bit by cycling the compressor a couple times but I finally got it at that sweet spot and now the A/C is blowing nice and cold!
Well, you need a gauge that has the thing you turn and point to the temperature that it is outside or you won’t be correctly filling to start with. I noticed my old gauge which I put an adapter on for the new cans has this and my new gauge did not. Otherwise, if you don’t use the actual temperature outside, it won’t be in the correct spot where you’re supposed to fill it to.
Oh, and also the compressor is supposed to be running when you’re checking it anyway, if the compressor is not running, you can’t feel it that way it has to run in water and take it in and for you to read the gauge correctly if it’s not cycling so you always have to wait for that before. Anyway they tell you that on the can if you read it.
Thanks for your help. My car's AC was under charged, - then accidentally overcharged. Now I know what I have to do to lower the charge a little. Thanks again 🙂 Remember, God loves you! 🙂 That's so important!....

This fixed my AC on BMW X1, I purchase A/C Pro Air Conditioner Recharge Gauge and Hose Dispenser at Walmart for $25. Problem details: A/C works blow cold 42 degree when it is outside temp is below 65 degrees, AC blows hot air at 75 degree temp . Essentially when it got too hot outside the over filled refrigerant would expand and quick working. Just let some refrigerant out to fix the problem! 🧊🧊🧊🧊 ice cold air 🧊🧊🧊🧊 Pro Tip: use a meat thermometer in your air vent.

Thanks for your video because my dad has a 2015 compass and it's overfilled I believe and now it's blowing warm air and I don't know if his compressor is unhooked so now that you said that I'm going to check it and doing the procedure you showed to see if I can get it right
I love your common sense approach to this issue! I got my vehicle from a car lot and yep, they overcharged my system! I think they did it just before my purchase last November. And maybe because it was a cool day, they thought they had it right! They are not mechanics! My van was two and a half quarts low on transmission fluid. Once I checked that out because I had a really bad torque converter shudder, I can attest that car lots are not mechanics! I'm just thankful I figured that out before I damaged my transmission! And about my ac, they have it way in the red! So thanks! I may try this trick! And I agree with you about mechanics also! I've had a few rounds with them! If you can find a good one, treat him right! Because most of them make simple things complicated to confuse you. The more details you hear, the more you're gonna pay them! And don't think they are always right either!
If its in red, its usually an issue with system, n not necessarily an overcharge. Make sure compressor, and clutch engages, and condensor fan turns on when ac system turned on. If one of those isnt working gauge will be in red.
@@James-929 Actually it does well on the cooler days. I don't think the issue is a major one. It's just something I haven't found out about yet. I may just get a little can and release it slowly to see what happens. It used to come out hot on the hotter days. Now it just feels like a fan blowing. So I think I'm on the right track. Because I've been lowering the pressure slowly. An ASE mechanic is the one who told me that it was overcharged.
What a guy! 2006 Toyota Corolla ac stopped working after I recharged it. Let it sit for months because it was to hot to ride around with no ac. Saw this video and checked it and it was in the red! Deserviced to green and now it’s ice cold
Your compressor will go out eventually due to running it overcharged . Get a set a gauges and follow the fill chart based off ambient temperature / humidity .
Update: I got up this morning to bleed the Freon. I was able to get the meter out of the Red zone and into the Green zone. But the in cab of my car is still blowing out warm air. Please help thanks.
I seen a video referencing static pressure with the car off. Hi and lo will be the same. Use a chart (ex 90f outside temp ~104psi ac pressure) Let out pressure until your system is close to ratio for outside ambient temp
youre a life saver! thought I screwed my system up because as i was charging it wouldn't go above 30psi so i kept charging it and suddenly it jumped into the red and caused the compressor to start shuddering on and off. was already looking at ac compressors thinking i'd have to bite the bullet and get one but i looked up any fixes on youtube and came across your video which worked perfectly for me! can't thank you enough!
Liked shared and subscribed. It is hot as the f word out here and I overfilled. Was going crazy confused untill I saw your video. Thank you!! Now is ice ice in this b
Thanks for the video. I will just add a detail the ac has a low pressure and a high pressure side. You add freeon to the low pressure side and it will read the same untill it can no longer self regulate because you added to much then the high pressure side can no longer self regulate and the pressure in the low pressure side will start to build at which point it is overfilled. Thankfully you can bleed the system as the video shows how. I too was freaking out for a minute. Thanks for tge video!!!

Mannnn! Thank Brotha! This help me fa real! I was thinking this at first but didn’t know how to. Appreciate your helpful tip! 💯
No problem glad this helped
You came in clutch bro I was literally about to change the whole compressor this whole time it was over filled good looks
Yep glad this video helped
Super helpful.
Thanks for your video because my dad has a 2015 compass and it's overfilled I believe and now it's blowing warm air and I don't know if his compressor is unhooked so now that you said that I'm going to check it and doing the procedure you showed to see if I can get it right
Hope everything works out
I love your common sense approach to this issue!
@@James-929 Actually all I had to do was get the pressure right with the refrigerant. It works great now on any day!
Neat trick using the recharging gauge to empty it out...
Thanks!
Great video Sir wow 👍👍
Thanks!
Man you saved my behind. Thank you!!
What a guy! 2006 Toyota Corolla ac stopped working after I recharged it. Let it sit for months because it was to hot to ride around with no ac. Saw this video and checked it and it was in the red! Deserviced to green and now it’s ice cold
Nice! glad this video helped also share this video if you could to help out others I would greatly appreciate it
Thank you so much 😊 I thought it was done but what you showed fixed it !!😊
Thank you! Helped me when I overcharged my refrigerant! 👍🍻

bruh you are a god send i fix my ac i over recharge it but with your video big help🙏🙏🙏💪💪
Thanks. Enjoy your A/C brother
Your compressor will go out eventually due to running it overcharged . Get a set a gauges and follow the fill chart based off ambient temperature / humidity .
Yep, based on ambient temp & humidity.
I’m going to try this in the morning. I pray that this is my issue. To be continued.
Update: I got up this morning to bleed the Freon. I was able to get the meter out of the Red zone and into the Green zone. But the in cab of my car is still blowing out warm air. Please help thanks.
@@jeremystephenson7499same. 🙁 what's your fix?
Best video on UA-cam
Thanks. Do me a favor and share this video so that it can help out as many people as possible
Whew good thing you caught all the freon in the towel so it didn't get in the atmosphere
So easy. Thanks for the vid
No problem
I seen a video referencing static pressure with the car off. Hi and lo will be the same. Use a chart (ex 90f outside temp ~104psi ac pressure)
Let out pressure until your system is close to ratio for outside ambient temp
Thanks this trick saved me big time today
Glad this video helped
Thank you so much for your help! You saved me a lot of money 😅
No prob glad this video helped!
Such an easy fix. Much appreciated my guy
Anytime
youre a life saver! thought I screwed my system up because as i was charging it wouldn't go above 30psi so i kept charging it and suddenly it jumped into the red and caused the compressor to start shuddering on and off. was already looking at ac compressors thinking i'd have to bite the bullet and get one but i looked up any fixes on youtube and came across your video which worked perfectly for me! can't thank you enough!
Nice glad this video helped. Do me a favor and share this video to help out others that may need this help as well
Thank you thank you easy fix got me my cold ac again!!
No prob enjoy your A/C
At anytime did you
FILL/RECHARGE your a/c and then start blowing hot? Or did it just start blowing hot then you released pressure?
@@clostheman6562 It started blowing hot when too much freon was in the system. It was overcharged
Thanks my brother u helped me a lot ..love
No problem glad this video helped
Thanks for the heads up
Thank you bro God bless you and yours

1:49 Damn thought this was the one. Now I gotta find a gargoyle to protect my highs. 😂😂😂
🤣🤣 I had to make it silly Im glad someone caught on to it 🤣
Thanks man absolute lifesaver
It works..👍 you saved my life.😁
Liked shared and subscribed. It is hot as the f word out here and I overfilled. Was going crazy confused untill I saw your video. Thank you!! Now is ice ice in this b
Good stuff glad this video helped!
NP do me a favor and sharw this video to others who may want this tip
Nice thanx 👍
