When finished with the Rhino Extreme hoses, did they compress back down to the length they were in the box? I have a Titan hose and it doesn’t compress back to the original length so I have to force it into my storage tube which resulted in several deformations. How do you like the Rhino Extreme hoses now that you have used them for some time?
Downsizing Makes Cents I think it's more durable, for sure. I wouldn't run out and buy one until you need a replacement, though. I still have a couple of regular Rhino hoses that I keep in the bumper as backups.
Johnny Lightning Absolutely - you've certainly got a good handle for it! Welcome to the Younger Gang! Thomas Coleman Younger (Cole, the outlaw) was my fourth cousin, twice-removed or something like that.
Thanks for the question, Richard. That's what I do. I leave the gray valves open with the hose set up in a P-trap. Then, when it's time for a black dump, I save up some gray water to run through after it to clean the hose. Sorry it wasn't clear in the video.
I just purchased my 1sr RV. 2 people suggested i get the 20' Rhino kit and i ordered it from Amazon. It looks like I got the cheeper one like your old one (im not happy) The box Says 'Camco' on it, Not Rhino. But it is a Rhino hose . It was a plain box, not like your new one in this video. Did I get ripped off, or is there a way to get the better one? Thank you.
@yobabybubba what kind of RV did you get? I would imagine Amazon will let you return it if you want to order the Rhino Extreme. In the year since my review of the Extreme, I’ve decided I prefer the regular RhinoFLEX (watch for an upcoming video with all the details). As to whether or not you received an actual Rhino, I’m not sure. Here’s a link to the standard 20’ RhinoFLEX kit if you want to compare it to yours: amzn.to/2UfXacO
@@YoungerEveryDay Thank you for that detailed response. I feel much better now. I'm completely satisfied with the hose I bought. It's the same exact one as the link you sent. I also watched the videos in the links and the guy explains the difference between the Extreme and the regular Rhino that I have. I will be fine with the regular Rhino. I bought a used 2021 Forest River Sun Seeker 2850LE class C with 19,000 miles on it. It was a rental. A few months ago we rented the same model from this place (not same rig) and loved it. It's a good company with a great reputation. I never thought I would want to buy a rental that several people drove and used but they maintain their vehicles well. We had it inspected and were good to go. They had to do some preparations for us, like readjusting the slide and a few other things. We should be picking it up tomorrow or by Monday or Tuesday hopefully. I'm super excited we're already planning a trip before the Winter. Really hoping we can squeeze one in. And I feel much better now that I definitely bought the correct hose. Thanks again. What RV do you have?
I switched my RV over to a Cam-Lock style hose... why because only the RV industry uses that stupid tit style connection... with a cam lock fitting it always is sealed and you don't have to worry about spillage
I bought the 15 ft. hose with elbow, I assumed the elbow was removable. It was not, I had to cut it off at the dump station as I was out of time to handle it any other way. This product Sucks, there is no reason to build it this way other than extra Gouging by Camco. What a totally Stupid design. What a waste of time and Money. Zero Stars.
@robert stevens That’s too bad. I don’t like the models without a removable elbow either. The model I reviewed in this video has a removable one, but the shorter model does not. I am curious: Why did you have to cut off the elbow to use the dump station?

Great review and thanks for sharing.
Nomadic in Nature Thanks for watching!
How in the world do you compress this bad boy after unpackaging!? It comes alive!
I know, right?!? It's crazy-tough to compress it. We'll be talking about that and more in an upcoming video, so be sure to check back soon.
We have the regular rhino, is this really any better?

OK I'm in. Does joining make me an outlaw? Ya know the James-Younger gang was infamous back in the day.
Johnny Lightning Absolutely - you've certainly got a good handle for it! Welcome to the Younger Gang! Thomas Coleman Younger (Cole, the outlaw) was my fourth cousin, twice-removed or something like that.
Where did you get the y?
Hello , may I know the exact size for the outer and inner diameter for this Rhino Sewer Hose.
How do you clean the Black tank hose after dump? Why not run Grey water through it?

What RV do you have?
I just connect the ends together when traveling.
1st WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! DAA!
@topgun 53 Great point! I’m always super-careful and have never used gloves, but it got me that day.
I switched my RV over to a Cam-Lock style hose... why because only the RV industry uses that stupid tit style connection... with a cam lock fitting it always is sealed and you don't have to worry about spillage
Cool! I've not heard of that style hose, so I'll have to google it. Thanks for sharing a great tip!
Tip #3 - Wear gloves when working with your sewer hose.
I'm assuming you're allergic to gloves...
