Phoenix Police cracking down on specialty license plates

Police are ticketing people who personally customize their specialty plates with stickers and other items. Arizona offers 54 specialty plates that help businesses and organizations promote themselves by giving them a percentage of the money spent on each individual plate. Specialty plates can be discontinued if police continue to see alterations, and this will in turn hurt these businesses and organizations financially.
