New Ink Day - Diamine Celadon Cat

In this episode I buy a bottle of Diamine Celadon Cat in a potentially feeble attempt to make a light ink come out of my Sailor Shikiori Sound of Rain - Spring Rain MF pen.

i only bought a sample of celadon cat but haven’t inked a pen yet. it looks beautiful with your pen. hopefully, it will turn out to be a good combo. 😊

Thanks for posting! Celadon Cat felt dry to me, and it seems to be one of those inks that darkens as it dries, which pushes my patience. In this month’s pens, I drew off 3 ml with a syringe, put in a sample vial, added one drop of Vanness’ White Lightening, and loaded my Lamy 2000 (EF), which writes really wet. So far, I’m quasi-happy with the “altered state”. Not enough ink on the page to reach any conclusions though…

I finally got it to work by putting in the teensiest bit of kodak photo flo.

Really wish you hadn't mentioned there was a sale at cult pens! That had gone under my radar, might have to go have a look now! Looks like a nice ink, definitely in my colour pallette.

I only tried the ink in a cheap Online Vision Magic pen so far… but the medium nib doesn‘t work well with it. I like the color, but I have to try the ink with a broader nib. I think it has nice shading…

I am thinking about trying it in a medium. I have only one broad, but my medium Benu's with Schmidt nibs are firehoses and may as well be broads.

@@cerealnana That‘s true, the medium Schmidt nibs on my Benus are gushers, too… :)
