yes giordanos is one of the best pizza place in Chicago. Idk if your still in Chicago or not but if you come back you should try this place in Hyde park called Cholie’s it is a small little restaurant and is owned by this very sweet older lady and the pizza there is so wonderful
the best pizza in chicago as a person who was born and raised in chicago is Pequods. It was rated best deep dish pizza in the U.S . Please try it out or anyone in the comment section U NEED TO TRY ITTTT😌 trust me it’s better than Giordanos
Locals eat it as either to show people from out of town, or just for a special occasion. Usually we eat Tavern Style Pizzas. You should try that next time you’re in Chicago! Did you also try Chicago Style Hot Dog?
That’s how it always works if they can find an empty spot. Yet, you’ll be waiting an hr at the table. Idk rather wait an hr in my car especially if it’s not hot and sleep until I get a text etc. Now waiting an hr to be seated and for food is a NO! rather it’s pizza or lobster. Glad you both enjoyed it

Chicago native, pequods is like a hybrid between Detroit style and deep dish. Lous, uno, Gino’s, and Gios is the traditional deep dish.
I’ve had that pizza place in Chicago and it truly does live up to the hype
