density=mass in kg÷volume in cubic meters and dividing both sides by 1000 so that we can derive the metric ton unit,we get: density/1000=m/1000(v) Note: density of any liquid divided by density of water which is 1000kg/cubic meter equals the SG or specific gravity of the liquid, and a mass in kg divided by 1000 equals 1 metric ton. dividing both side by 1000, we get: SG at 90C= MT/V. We can use this to solve for MT since SG at 90C is already solved. This is much easier to explain, easy to understand. This is what is being taught in my college days as a Mechanical Engineer.
