Jason Blundell was on Zombroz yesterday and we got to talk about Call of Duty Zombies for over an hour. During the show Jason explained the reason Tranzit failed during the launch of Black Ops 2. After 5 Years Treyarch finally breaks their silence and gives us some insight into the development of Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombies.

The whole concept of Tranzit is awesome. Less smoke, lava, keep the fiery ash the falls from the sky, the same look and theme and add more routes and Tranzit would of been prefect. Also the Avogadro was really cool and him just showing up in this apocalyptic world to wreck havoc was a nice touch since this is a bigger map and he does his own thing. Treyarch Just remaster the whole map and do everything you guys wanted to do. Anyone remember when it was though that new routes could open up or that they led to dlc maps.

All they need to do to tranzit to make it good imo is:
*Add better variety of weapons
*Take out denizens
*Make P.A.P. easier to acquire
*Better wonder weapon
*Decrease amount of lava in the map
*Better easter egg
*Make bus similar to the tank in origins where you pay to move it instead of it randomly doin it's own thing...
Better idea make denizens rounds every 5 or 10 rounds? Make it so you can see 20-30 meters ahead of you. Put A LOT more wall weapons on the ground. Make the Avagradro drop electric cherry perk bottle which doesn't take up perk slot
Easiest fix for PaP: Instead of putting the turbine by the panel and hoping to God the PaP stays open, you out the turbine by the panel, it opens up to a switch which opens the PaP door permanently

Zachary Rose Its a great map. People talk shiz about it because they hate the fog and lava. Idk why its such a big deal. Its fun to play, town is fun, the bus was fun to be in, and its unique since you can do different survivals like farm, town, tranzit, its challenging. People that hate it are either crap at playing the map, whiners of the graphics, or just following the crowd.

Pupper Page No people don't hate transhit cause of the graphics, how bad they are or cause they're followers. They hate the map cause compared to every other zombie map, it was trash. There was no good or cool wonder weapon, fog lava n denizens are annoying, every section of transhit was lack luster, the overall visuals of the map looked like shit, packapunch was annoying, the bus leaving you was annoying, and the electric boss zombie was annoying. Compared to other maps it's pure garbage and people who like it are honestly the super minority probably like 2% of zombie players

Unfortunately with that three-year development cycle, they never took the time to even bother fleshing out any of these cool game modes for Black Ops 4. Instead, we were left with an over-innovated mess that failed to succeed Black Ops 3, a game that already abandoned the opportunity for more story-telling.
I actually really really enjoyed tranzit. The reason why was because most people found it difficult, and I love challenging maps. To me it came easy, I often run through the fog and I even ran trains in the tunnels to diner. Only thing I didn’t like is that since I like playing public, most people would rage quit so 9 out of 10 times I would end up basically solo or with someone just spectating me the entire time

Oh I thought they included fog,denizens,lava,etc to complete the storyline where they left off moon
And I thought they included the fog, denizens and lava to prevent you from runnning to the places, there's the bus for a reason.... If there was no fog or denizens you would just have huge empty areas where anyone could train zombies, there would be no challenge to it at all.
I think people should be able to see that there can be more reason than one to have a feature, the fog was to allow the game to run better, and to make it more challenging etc. I remember back when i played tranzit it was always that rush to turn on the power and make it back before the bus left.

Everyone is hating this map due to the routes between the areas it’s like that to add risk to not taking the bus but is still faster than the bus witch is safer but can get crowded the fog lava and denizens were designed to be annoying to make it more dangerous to travel between the areas it makes the map good
I really liked tranzit. The fog made for mystery and fear and it gave the bus more power. Ok the goblin things were annoying but that's a good reason to get galvanuckels

Transit was amazing.. it wasn’t “too much” it was a map we have never seen before. Not to mention bo2 being the best cod for competitive, pubs and zombies. People may argue black ops 1 zombies is better. But in my opinion the last map of zombies on call of duty 5 (waw) was such a great map as well. I love that they did what they did to bo2 and zombies.. it’s sad to say they most likely won’t ever have another game like bo2 ever again..
Tranzit would be better if the dedisons were always one hit, if the fog was light, if the lava did less damage, and if the bus wouldn’t leave without the player

Meat seems like it wouldn't be a normal zombie gun grab thing. I think meat would have been the meat is picked up by someone random the zombies scream and chase after the selected player. And as the points go down (players) the more zombies and less space you get. Kind of like a fucked up uplink.
I like most things about tranzit. Maybe get rid of the face huggers, tone down the lava a bit (like not surrounding pack-a-punch) and it'd be great.

If you go through the files on Black Ops II after buying the Vengeance DLC there's a zombies file that's just called unnamed.tranzit.jpeg. I don't know what it is but it made me think it was another unreleased map

What's cool about this community is even though Tranzit sucked we all want to love it and see it redone. Hell compared to some BO4 maps Tranzit has moved up on my list! I actually enjoyed Tranzit. Fist map I did high rounds on. I think we disliked it because it left us with an incomplete feeling and it always felt like there should be more.
I like Transit tbh. It was something new, it was just unique and it made a lot of fun. Only Farm was damn unnessecary.
They could just have the map of the starting room and town and leave it there? Farm doesn’t do anything, yeah there’s the power room but they could move it to the town, the diner doesn’t do anything either besides the shield parts but look at all the other custom made maps! A lot of city maps, I think a city map would have been cool. Not similar to Die Rise though... no... just no...

I love TranZit. Used to play it everyday with friends, and it brings back the memories. But i had no idea that people actually didn't like it. That also surprised me as hell. "Town" was awesome too. Used to play Town alot. Even more than TranZit tbh. I bought all 4 DLC's for BO2 back then and they were awesome zombies experiences. Nuketown Zombies, Die Rise, Mob of the Dead, Buried, & Origins all brings back memories and nostalgia.

Later on, this is a loading screen for meat. It seems like the meat gets thrown and there are barriers that are blocked off and zombies running after players chasing the meat. Tranzit was awesome, but could've been better. Had they implemented a perk to negate fog or fire damage that'd be great. Maybe a total clean remaster could fix EVERYTHING that was wrong. The idea and the setting of Tranzit, is awesome; an apocalyptic earth-styled zombie map.

@black ops zombies lover It's not the fact that those things are a problem, it's that their annoying and if something in a map is annoying generally people won't like it as much since it's more tedious and more of a chore to play
The lava never bothered me whenever i played i was fine with it, i just wish there were more weapons and perks to choose from

Take the lava out but the fog was a decent part I liked, made the bus a quite important part of the map and more intense whenever you jumped off to go have a look around

Why I love tranzit is how big it is and how challenging it is.
I like how in tranzit we get to play all the areas (town, farm etc...)
The electric zombie, the bus, the different things you can do and the easter egg.
How you can make portals to move to other locations.
You can be by yourself or stay with your team.
I really liked it. Challenging.

Remember how in moon they had the PES that could let you breathe? Ya, lets bring that and put it in the power station on tranzit, except a pair of goggles that let's you see much better in the fog.

Pack a punch! If we've learned anything from origins, it's that deciphering codes is better than leaving a turbine just to be destroyed! With the help of youtube, I just took the code off the power room wall and used my handy dandy UA-cam conversion chart (Glitching Queen) to open pack a punch forever!
Avagadro making the map look like a cat took a dump on a bird he just killed. What? When we kill him he flies back to the sky, restoring the natural blue to it, making the map look muchhh better. (Ok, I still don't know if this is good or not, let me know in comments)

The 4th step of the EE upgrades the bus and makes it drives faster and you can call it? WOAH!
Maybe I'm dreaming, but this map sounds awesome. And no, it would not be too easy, because you have to work your way to earn these features, like other great maps. If you've made it this far, please, help this map, let's make tranzit great again.

I liked tranzit although i think it is the poorest map made in all of zombies. I don't hate it but i don't think it is as bad as people think it is. The fog and the denzins are bad but it made up for it for me with using them as teleporters with street lights and the bus was a mess but i loved just trying to survive on it with friends.
Then that increase player glitch which you could have 8 people on tranzit and all be cramped onto the bus. some of the most fun i had even though it was a glitch.

I love the atmosphere in buried, the musik and the map is cool, but the sad thing is that its too easy especially for good players. You can just camp and wait until the game crashes. Would love if they hadn't put so many camping spots but more training spots in the map. I dont want to camp all the time but training there is for me really hard.

I think they should remaster the map with no lava set in the future where the fire has died out and the crew revisited and we see the aftermath of how it looks after all the fire died out and somehow we have to find a power source to repower the bus and get it working again and re-awaken Tedd and go from there. The ideas are endless. I know Tranzit wasn't too popular but I honestly loved it and spent hrs upon hrs playing with my boys. A remaster and at the same time fixing many of the original flaws would be classic. It should be set some time in the future of original Tranzit based on the aftermath of the rest of the storyline.

Ik my friends and I always used to play tranzit and have fun, the only bad part was the electric man
ELConno801 yea a lot of bosses are annoying but I guess that's just party of the map and party off the challenge. That how I usually feel. I just loved how you could get in huge trouble all by yourself and your friends are on the other side of the map on a mission basically and you have to fend for yourself instead of getting help because they can't make it and then out of nowhere the bus comes and saves you. lol it just had plenty of unique situations that could happen. And with it being so big and hard to travel I feel like it encouraged communication.

Aaron Rainbolt A lot of people do actually hate transit, he was not lying, it is practically a meme. HOWEVER, this should not stop you from enjoying Transit if you like the map.

Thegamer101135 and mob of the dead takes and HOUR to get setup, while in Tranzit you could get setup in 10 minutes

I was thinking the same thing, he didn't say in CoD. I would choose either Blood Gulch/Coagulation from Halo CE/Halo 2 or 2Fort from Team Fortress 2.
Imagine a bo2 remaster where they get to add all these gamemodes and reimagine transit 😭
I love bo2 and I think it's still an amazing game, but just imagine if they didn't have any limitations to what they could put into the game.
I feel like if bo2 ever gets remade they will completely ruin the Multiplayer with unnecessary added weapons and other bs
If Treyarch had 3 years to make Bo2 zombies like they do now I believe that Tranzit could have been pretty good.
No doubt Tranzit could've been one of the best maps for bo2
