Hey brother. Missing your videos. But hoping your enjoying time with your lovely family. Keep your head high. You are so respected. Not many in this world, that get to love what they do and make a living doing it. God bless
@@garyreinke4741 yeah but I don't think medic wants to talk to kev after that, plus kev made it public. Trying to send hate without directly saying it.
I love that truck. went further than I thought. You have as much snow as we do in N.B. just not as cold. I love RC-ing because I couldn't afford a real rock crawler or short truck race car, or even a tank. RC's allow you to have just a little fun and experience just some of what the real ones are like. but I don't think a real truck could fly as fare as yours did,
Bud you have inspired me and my 5-year old grandson so much. We have 6-8 1/10 scale trucks but went out and got 1/24 scale rcs thanks to covid and being inside, weather, and covid. We have pillow challenge on the bed, try it. Set pillows up in crazy hills and valleys and cover with sheets, its a blast. Just an idea, thanks to your videos, THANKS for what u do. luv u guys!!
All in all, that Super Baja Rey 2 is one stout rig ¡¡¡ Definitly putting it through some serious RC Sparks paces for sure. If the finance gods gaze their "Rey's"of light upon me, that Beast is definitely on my radar. As usual, just a man having FUN with RC, sharing it with the world ¡
Not a massive fan of the fast stuff yet always end up watching you belting round your property and laughing along with you when ur doing monster air. Keep it up mate.
One small step for RcSparks. One giant leap for all RC Fans. That was pretty sweet until the crunch landing. Thank goodness for spare parts, now launch it again! Just better landing zones hopefully next time
Anyone in the hobby heard that land and cringed. loving the vids medic im getting major throwback vibes of a little series that had something to do with rcs in a concrete enviroment. Can we even mention s**** park pain i knowits gone now but man i loved those days
Beauty shots buddy, I knew the axle was coming though. I got spoilers on my video that you broke another axle lol I imagine you’ll be flying again tomorrow
Thanks for all you did in the rc world. By watching your videos you got me in to the rc world thank you for that. Hope to see you back some time. Thanks again.
Awesome, that thing looks like a blast! Also, this is kind of cool, I work for a manufacturing company, and one of our products was used in the construction of the Rover and is now on Mars.
Those shades are actually pretty cool man. The shape reminds me of goggles in a way, but futuristic almost. And with the wrap around protection they're great to protect against the sun reflecting off the snow
If you don't mind a side note: any LiPo battery should always be charged on 1C or max 2C (fast charging). C is the battery's full capacity/1000 (in Amps). So if your pack has 5000mAh capacity it should only be charged on 5A (above 5A you are shortening your battery's lifespan). I was amazed the smart charger was charging the 5000mAh LiPo on 12.7A. In all fairness 20A for that LiPo battery is a death sentence. LiPo batteries are not cheap and if you take good care of them they will last for years if you mishandling them they can do serious harm. We use very high capacity and high discharge rate (70C-120C) LiPo batteries in quadcopter racing (6S packs most commonly) and in the X class quads (8-12000mAh 12S-16S ) and if you always fast charging your batteries you soon will experiencing voltage sags because the battery's internal resistance has been raised (due to cell damage) and cannot deliver the Amps any more nor can be easily balance charged (common symptom is a puffed up battery). I am sure you don't want to dispose your batteries after a few weeks of fun just by charging them super fast on 20A. Please, I know you love this hobby and I know you care about your audience a lot and would never want to suggest anything which can become a fire hazard (overAmping lipos are dangerous) or a costly exercise on the long run.
@@brokenmember1658 Are you offended or what is your problem? I am in RC for more than 16 years and using LiPos maybe longer than you are. Do a bit of research about how lithium batteries work before you trying to shake off a safety concern. If you like to charge on 4C then go on. I cannot stop you. I am also sure the manufacturer wont recommend to change the charging rate - even 12.7A is beyond the safe limits in most lithium batteries (but Spectrum being a decent company might have a built in regulator to cut power if it senses faulty). It is always wise to read the manual. Stay safe and educate yourself before you handle a battery capable of burning down your shed.
@@TheRealRCSparks If you don't mind lithium cells technology didn't change. You are using a hard shell Lipo pack so you will not notice anything as long as the casing holds up. (no puffing up) What you will notice is the lost response to throttle input at first (high internal resistance).
@@TheRealRCSparks I own several smart chargers and all of them would allow me to change charging rates. It does not mean the cells would be happy (as I am) seeing them charged up faster. There is a give or take in this technology and lithium cells are very sensitive to overcurrent on the input but can deliver very high current when discharged. Just a note - each of these batteries you are using has almost the same energy density as the C4 explosive. This is the very high end in battery tech and it is capable to deliver over 120Amps and discharge rapidly. I've had several experiments over the years what energy density one battery can hold and it is truly astonishing and frankly scary to not know enough about before using it. In my field as and electrical engineer I had several chance to study lithium batteries and their properties closely and I love them to bits but I also aware of their capabilities and limits. A very clever chemistry indeed and tight tolerances which have made our beloved hobby to convert from nitros but it must be kept in mind these cells needs careful handling (even when disposing them they must be discharged). The power they deliver is enormous but that power is kept within a few thin layers.. I don't want to scare anyone from using them but awareness of their potential is vital to understand how great they are in any fields of use.
@@TheRealRCSparks I have killed several batteries being impatient and crank up the rate so I can go out sooner flying my quads or bashing my cars and so on. But after a few years it became very clear that it was me who was careless and should have been more sensible so I could be still using those batteries longer. I've spent a fortune on new batteries before because I've thought they have an expiry date. I was wrong. For many in the hobby it is just a plug and play effort but sadly this tech does not appreciate impatience and with 5A charging rate on a 5000mAh battery your waiting time is 45-65mins depending on the state of your battery. It is not much.
