- Before you think of secret dens and drug-related conflict, I want to divert your attention away from the hit show which put this area's name on the pop culture map. Although one can easily get their hands on Breaking Bad merchandise and tour the local sites featured on this televised sensation, there's quite a lot more to understand in Albuquerque than that. Being a city which linked New Spain's northernmost outposts to Mexico, Albuquerque was established way back in 1706, and was given prominent attention even before it was ceded to the US. Today it sits as the most populous city in New Mexico, and is home to landmarks of historic significance and festivals only seen in this part of the country. I was stunned to see the stark differences between the old and new cities, which contrasted in personality and atmosphere, or even that there were two distinct districts, allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of both past and present. Even within a big city atmosphere it is indeed possible to seek out and understand various aspects of traditional culture here, from the sampling of uniquely New Mexican foods to the hikes which lead one to ancient art. We're certainly not getting ourselves involved with any sketchy business like one would believe from the reputation Albuquerque has gained over the last 15 years, for the Coverage Project's business is to discover the best of the Duke City.

“Los Pollos Hermanos”? Would be a funny concept to do a “Breaking Bad tour” someday in the future and I wouldn’t be opposed to it. I figured that it’d be best to understand Albuquerque through a non-Breaking Bad background before I even dared to step foot into that idea
That's not a real chicken restaurant trust me you're talking to someone it's actually a twisters
I just remembered ( Breaking Bad )(Better Call Saul)😂
That’s right. Great series and I respect the fact that parts of show production were done in the actual general setting.

UA-cam does not notified me at all when it comes to the new videos Thanks to Shar sent me the link.

OMG sooooo Satisfying 14:53
Oh yeah. Petroglyphs are always cool to view, but rain isn’t kind to rocks or camera lenses
Hopefully you enjoyed the trip 😊
The day generally went well in my opinion. The downtown was actually a lot sketchier than I expected so I felt it was best to cut it a bit short. Plenty more southwestern locations to see on this trip.
Isn't the city's weather desert?
Yes that’s what I thought too. Surely it couldn’t rain in the New Mexico desert. But I guess the monsoon season means it rains almost every day, but only for about an hour in the afternoon
يارجل ما اجمل الطقس هناك
Beautiful until the clouds decide to get heavy and strike (there was a much stronger rainfall off-camera that day, right before I started to climb the hillside) Rain doesn’t deter though!
We have 80km 6:27
There are some road signs in the US which display kilometers, not for speed limits but for a location’s distance, however those are pretty rare
