I hope your peppers do well this year! I always have better results in containers, but many other people prefer in ground peppers, so I’m curious to hear how yours do!

I never tried growing veggies in containers until this year. I have 2 tomato plants in containers this year and wow, they are doing fantastic! My goal with them was to start them a bit earlier in the season than the in-ground tomatoes, and that has been a success. They are loaded with green tomatoes already here in zone 5b. I have not tried peppers in containers. It sounds like I need to try it. I have 24 pepper plants in-ground, everything from sweet peppers to habaneros. I'm interested to see how your varieties of tomatoes and peppers do this year. I have a few of the same varieties that you do, but I'm trying a bunch of new ones this year. I'm always trying to find better varieties to grow. I have especially been trying to find better yielding sweet peppers, too. I have the Giant Marconi's (new this year) and some Corno di Toro's as well. I have wanted to try Ajvarski, but I didn't order them yet.

For the most part plants tend to do better for me in the ground, except for peppers, which always perform better in containers. Tomatoes do well enough for me in containers that it’s worth growing a few to increase my overall harvest. It is a good idea to start a few tomatoes early in pots, and then you can bring them inside if you get a late frost - I’m glad to hear it’s working well for you!
