I missed a ton.
Praying for your land and harvests, my friend.💪🏼 ❤
I run non ethanol in my tractors and all my lawn equipment as well as my boat motors starting to hurt a little at the gas pumps week or so ago was well over $4.00 a gallon but I'm still going to do it as long as I can get it as far as oil for sure change it regularly put new oil in them don't be draining white oil out of rear ends just a thought if you're M's He's and C's set out might consider throwing a rubber truck flap over the platform helps to keep water from setting around bolt indent and working into the rear ends I've seen enough water seap in to actually freeze in winter to where they wouldn't move until thawed out.
I have to
I have been using Rotella in all the tractors for over 40 years with no problems! I use either Hytran or a good 80-90 weight in the rearend depending on the application! It has been working for me!😊
This is an off the wall question. Our M was a 1949 model but Dad always said it was a Super M conversion. It did seem to come on with the pulling power. What did a conversion involve? I'm guessing had to be something to do with Bore and Stroke. Ours was a Butane/Propane model.
Exactly when you go to rebuild the engine, you just buy a super m kit and make it work
Non-ethanol is all I use on my equipment! I have replaced carbs on all of my Troy Bilt weed hackers because of the “Corn Syrup” fuel! LOL Great video’s! Keep them coming! Go Steelers!
You got it
Rotella shell ive used for over 40years no problems 15w 40❤Hot weather straight 30 I got diesels 3:58 4:02
My grandfather has had a Farmall super A for a long time now, and due to his age, he has forgot a lot of his farming facts, including what to put in these things, so thanks for the video
Thanks for watching
Thank you for all you know about your equipment. Wow, that's great, too.
I learn each time I watch your videos .
God bless
We run the equivalent of CIH low ash 30w in the gas IH 656 tractors. Run 30w CIH diesel oil in the 1030 Case and IH 1460 combine. All hydraulic is HyTran...prefer to keep it the same so not mixing hydraulic fluids if hooking remote cylinders to different tractors. Works for us...everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Your critters all seem to be running well, so keep up with what you're doing. Old tractors always amaze me with their longevity if they've been well-maintained.
Yeah, a lot of people don't like international tractors, but I don't care what they think. I love international tractors and farmall fanatic loves his internationals anybody who loves red power are number one I got a cub cadet 122 which is an international tractor its not a field tractor no it's a garden tractor because cub cadet garden tractor's has a farm tractor rearend on the back and they can pull or out pull anything 👍👍👍👍
Correct
Right, wrong or indifferent, I've ran 15-40 Rotella in my 42 farmall B for over 20 years. It does just fine. 80-90 in the trans and final drives. I've been very fortunate, as I can't get non-ethenol, with no problem with the carb.
The key was running ethanol fuel is draining the carb after each use
Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on what lubricants you run.
You were right!! Don't care!!
Ok Billy 👍
Excellent video Gino :) also yes lots people in my area since 1993 Petro Canada put Tactrol in fuel they stopped used it , Ethonal in 2005 stopped 87 Ethonal that has 15 to 10 % moved up 89 has 5% Ethonal from Loves brand called in USA but Ontario Canada it SHELL or 91 to 94 octane gas with no Ethonal % ! In 2005 Desiel got 15 to 10 % Ethonal so had hard time find one fuel company no Ethonal % got and but the Grey bottle of STP Total Treatment fuel injection and carb cleaner in fuel tank too eats Ethonal out use in gas or desiel fuel tanks on farm tractor or combines plus farm trucks even pickups ! Yes it hard ball game find good fuel anymore even ones for Mix oil to Gas has no Ethonal in and good company! I know my late dad, his brother my uncle plus older elders hated when gas from Lead to unleaded then Tactrol Petro in fuels and another of Sulphur problems and Ethonal then ! They said few choice words say ! I know Tactrol pev me on plus Ethonal though be good as Lead in fuels were like but nope! Lead took fuel in 1984 in Canada from 5% only in fuel now ! No try cause problems hear Gino just wild for sure on fuel and oil sure change too! Even in Ontario Canada if have 2 cycle fuel lawn mower or chain saw or weed waker brand of STHIL orange and white colors if use mix have use STHIL brand oil or void your warranty so crazy ! I remember my late dad and uncle others used Castrol for in 2 cycle lawn mowers, Chainsaws , Weed wakers for years no problem Lol! So wild to say!
Nice Red Fleet!!
I use what was listed in the operators handbook in my 58 McCormick international tractors thankfully over here 🏴 vintage grade oils are readily available 👍 interesting video 👌
That makes it easy
Hello Gino been rainy season all summer here sofar. Good video thanks have a great day
Good to hear another fellows thoughts and practices. We got red and green tractors on our farm (don't shoot me for the green one it was sentimental) and John Deere says do not use Hy-Tran and IH says do not use Hy-Guard so to only have to keep one kind on hand and to keep everything from cross contaminating when you plug in remotes from various things I run a good "universal" multibrand compatible hydraulic fluid. The ones with separate rear-ends/trannies get a decent 80/90. Not super picky on brand there. For engine oil the green one gets John Deere 15w-40 cuz that's what it's had for 8000 hours so not going to change now. The one International gets Mystik cuz it's ran that since new and with over 20,000 hours on a beautifully running no overhaul engine I leave well enough alone. The antiquers with unknown service histories usually end up with Rotella 15w-40. Occasionally something else if it's on sale and acceptable quality but that's usually it. Often I add some Lucas with an oil change on the antiquers. Appreciate the video thanks!
I add lucas I just didn't mention that in the video
@@FarmallFanatic great minds think alike
I run amsoil in all my tractor.
Merlin Waltz Pa
I run 30w in my Minneapolis Moline and Rotella t4 in my john deere. I also add in some lucas oil, dunno if it does anything, but it makes me feel good. 😂
Lucas definitely works 💪
@FarmallFanatic awesome, I saw it on Project Farm, and the results looked good, so I put it in everything. Used to use stp cause it was cheaper til I saw that video.
Gotta keep good oil in them because that crimson clover ain't gonna prep its own seed bed... 😂 (Tell me one of them goofballs if all they needed was a quart and all they had was traveler. I bet they dump it in quicker than lightning will kill a goat 😂)
🤣
Those goats are very conductive!🐐⚡️⚡️⚡️🐐
Could you do a video on what kills these tractors, like what not to do?
Eventually
New Holland/Ford oil for the transmission/hydraulics is like gold. No one wants to change it. If it isn't milky I have changed the two filters on the fly and topped it off. Can't you do a shorty showing off the corn?
Oh i'm going to show the corn for sure
As thick as you planted that you can make a corn maze out of it and harvest it.
True
I think you really need to listen to Mike McGie and plant that crimson clover for your nitrogen production for your corn crop. At least plant some test strips and compare it to the corn coming from your soy beans.
Absolutely! It’s more about the side by side comparison than anything else!
Yeah, but I heard you say this morning it's about the variables.... That's where i'm going to get you AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
140, penzoil 10w30. Hytran hydraulic
Case IH MX110 all CaseIH oils and greases
I think you should not grow crop and plow and disk all year round. Just a suggestion. Thanks for keeping the old iron alive
Well eventually you do have to cover the dirt with some sort of vegetation
True. Thanks
Not going to show the corn is it short cuz u didn't use crimson clover first, lol to see results of crimson clover watch Mcgie homestead adventures last video corn is super tall, you will have to show your corn so we can compare the results, your tractors look great, did you rebuild them?
Ahahahahahahaha 🤣
Hytran in hydraulics... HD30w or 15w40 Rotella T6... that be the only thing Id use... 80 90 gear oil... the green antifreeze and 30w non detergent in the air filter... the sludge comes out and the filter catches the crude
Why T6?
@@FarmallFanatic non synthetic
Oh I don't run synthetic
@@FarmallFanatic T6 is full synthetic
RAINY SEASON HAS BEEN HERE FOR A WHILE NOW.
RAIN RAIN GO AWAY😂
Yeah we've had enough rain
Was that a new bag of crimson clover in the back of the barn?? 😂
Looks like it to me!!!😁
Actually 2 ahahahahahahaha
@@FarmallFanatic best of luck!! 👍
Delvac 15-40. Rotella stinks and you can hear and feel the metal rubbing till it warms up. Delvac is smooth and quiet even at startup when it is 15-20 degrees. And it doesn't stink. You can smell a Rotella engine from 50 feet away.
I'll look into that
I started using non ethanol in my old tractor and small engines. Everything fires right up after sitting all winter. Ethanol is the devil.
It sure is
I only used normal ethanol fuel in my previous tractor. It never had an issue starting after sitting for months 🤷♂️.
Good to hear
The Cub Cadet brand oil is 30w low ash.
Yeah it's actually hard to find around here but I have used it
The dealer I go to in Somerset carries it. I want to say $6 or $7 a quart.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with running T4 15/40 in those tractors. That's what we have in our 300 and 966, and used it for years.
If you have a viscosity dealer close the unitek is the old Case IH low ash. A lot of the Case IH dealers down here are viscosity dealers too. I bought their Hytran version last time I was there. Haven’t tried ordering the Unitek 30 yet. It says for Gas and Diesel now. Instead of Low Ash 30 and Number 1 30 weight now.
Good to know
Oil is such a c9ntraversial s7bject. You know what works.
For sure
Farmall Super "C"....... The Chuck Norris of the tractor world. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That's an excellent way to put it
I hate ash in my oil too!😎😆
🤣
...... and those fluids get filled to the....(I know.... you're killin' me Smalls....)
BRIM LOVER PAUL AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
... I never knew it was decaffeinated....
Your good buddy Stoney Fraud Farmer is just that.
Don't take it too serious man it's just entertainment
@@FarmallFanatic it’s not entertainment when you give advice to people about cattle that can kill them. He’s good at changing oil.
15 40 rotella only oil I run
Did you go to portersville steam show
No I went to new york instead
We call them mudders
Do you have a gas station that has low ethanol fuel or do you use avgas?
Gas station
To me the new oils aren’t worth a shit!! Just put a new motor in my 2015 he it’s my pressure washing truck. The guy that replaced the motor for me witch he has been a mechanic all his life. He says the oils aren’t like they use to be. Does that really surprise anyone.
You'll have guys tell you that r oil today is better
@@FarmallFanatic sorry I am calling bullshit on that one. I have the motor to show that it doesn’t!! Only had 187,000 miles
You are doing it all wrong it's supposed to be a mixture of space oil from the moon.
I forgot lol
This video wasn’t Greta thornburg approved 👍👍👍 lmao.
Wait til she finds out about my non-existent bucket 🪣 🤪
Lmao
