Hi Elka. You got it! I am happy that you like May and June. These are exactly because of this wonderful mix great months to travel. In addition: They are cheap and less touristy.
I travelled to Switzerland in late May. Like with most places, the weather can be unpredictable. It was drizzling in Bern, mild and sunny in Zurich and hot in Lugano. Generally, I found May a great time to visit Switzerland. I could see snow up in the mountains from my train, heading to Ticino but didn't feel cold. I would advise taking a rain jacket and jeans or long pants but heavy Winter gear is not necessary. The biggest difference for me is when you pass under the mountains to Ticino. When you come out the other side, it is like a whole different climate. It was suddenly Summer.
Hi Mark. Totally agree with what you say... and yes: Ticino is always 1 month ahead of the rest of Switzerland. It's always notably warmer and Spring is about to end when the blossoms are just starting in the Swiss plateau. Happy to read that you had an enjoyable time in Switzerland during May!

Hi Djemo, such a great video.. I plan to visit switzerland in end of april - early of may.. could you please share your opinion if I visit jungfrau region, like lauterbrunnen, wengen, murren, brig and schilthorn? Thank you and regards from Indonesia
Hi Ratih. Early May can be rainy but also can be sunny. In general the waterfalls will have a lot of power. So the Lauterbrunnenvalley, Trümmelbach and Giessbach would be great. Mürren and Schilthorn too. Jungfrau is very expensive. Better go up to the Eggishorn, but please check if the cabin operates during that time. You get a better view for only 25% of the price of the Jungfraujoch. Maybe include Ticino too? Wengen is alright but I would leave it out if you don't go to Jungfraujoch.
Hi Djemo, thanks a lot for comprehensive explanation. It’s very useful for me to decide to travel in May 24. I expect to see greenery landscape, blooming flowers and top snow mountains. Could you help to point me out as forecast? Should I travel either beginning or Middle or of May for the feasibility ? Again thank you
Hi Sinekanchana. Thanks for your comment. Usually, the flowers bloom, before the landscape turns green. Blooming happens in April, early May. Flowers after blooming and green landscapes are on after Mid-May. You may however work around that by including Ticino at where the green landscape sets in earlier than in the north of Switzerland.
Hi. You can ski all year in Zermatt, up from May to October only in the higher parts around the Kleinmatterhorn. Best time to ski is from Mid-November to early April.

I am planning a trip from Milan in June to Swiss Alps. Is Bernina express ride worth it from Tirano? I was planning 3 to 4 nights around St Moritz, or is it more prettier in the Lucern /Interlanken region? Please advise.
Hi. I think the train ride is great. Yes, visit Lake Sils, Lake Saoseo, Soglio and Maloja😊 Better 4 days in St. Moritz than traveling with a rush. Though St. Moritz is expensive. Silvaplana is already cheaper. Pontresina too
Hii. Its going to be touristy. Interlaken is one of the most touristy towns. I always suggest to make reservations at restaurants. Best 1 day before to be safe. Or you try walkin but early; no guarantee for that though. You should definitely book Jungfraujoch in advance. Otherwise buying attractions online may mainly safe you the time of queueing at ticket offices✌🏼

Thanks a lot for your reply. So I should go after May then 😇🙏🙏
I will arrive in JUNE!
Yippie! There will be a video about it also😊🤗 i hope you will enjoy!
Nice country, saludos from chile

Hi djemo can we skiing at zermatt on may or june?still snow during those two month?
Hi. You can ski all year in Zermatt, up from May to October only in the higher parts around the Kleinmatterhorn. Best time to ski is from Mid-November to early April.
Can you please list the most beautiful waterfalls like you show in the video? I could not get the names. Planning a trip in couple weeks. Thx.
Hey. I made a Top 10 Waterfalls Video, which you may take a look at. It's a very complete video with a lot of useful travel tips. I hope it will help: ua-cam.com/video/I26XnfmvzKw/v-deo.html
We are traveling the April 26-May 1st. All we want to do is hike when we visit. Will most hikes be open? We will be staying in the Lauterbrunnen Valley for two nights and then want to take a train to do the Stoos Ridge Hike. Will that even be open during this time? Or any recommendation for hikes that will be open but have amazing views. I appreciate your help, I am hitting a wall on this.
Hola, buenos consejos, entonces no hay nieve en mayo?
Hola. En el video hablo de la nieve y menciono todo lo importante sobre ella.
me pareció entender, que a principios de mayo puedes encontrar en las partes más altas.

I am planning to visit Austria, Netherlands, switzerland next year. can you suggest the best 3 weeks to visit between mid march to end of may? Thanks in advance
Hi Priya. Thanks for your comment. It depends what is important to you: Green nature, sunny weather, blossoms, snow. You cannot have all optimised. March is still wintery, late May is green.
so nice 😍😍
Thank you very much!
Hi. I'm going to swiss in May. Is gelmerbahn going to be open?
Hiii. I dont think so. Maybe at the end of May? But please check on their website. Thats the most reliable. Depends heavily on the weather
Hi Djemo! May I ask where is that place at 8:55 of your video? Thank you! ☺️
Hi Katherine. That's at the Klausenpass (Urnerboden side)
Is there a place where i can find info about hiking trails in Zermatt and Junfrau regions? Like, which are open or closed?
Hi Bernardo. Boa tarde! I just checked on google "Zermatt hiking". I think this will be helpful. Please click on the trails and see when they are opening up; they will state which months the trails are accessible: www.matterhornparadise.ch/en/Experience/Mountaineering-climbing-and-hiking/Hiking-map?affiliate=1&ref=www.zermatt.ch
Hello, what are the locations or the names of the waterfalls on 3:43mins, 5:42 and 10:46? Thanks

Pontresina too
1:59 what is the name of this cave?
Hi. It's the Grotte aux Fées at Saint-Maurice VS.
Hello Sir , I am from India
Hiii. Much love from Switzerland to India!
Hi Djemo! How is Interlaken in August? Should I make reservations for restaurants and activities ahead of time or would it be fine just “showing up”?
@@DjemoGraphic Amazing advice! I am buying Jungfrau passes for 5 or 6 days and will make sure Jungfraujoch voucher is included. Any advice on that?
@@Pumpkinpie718 never purchased this ticket. You need to check. What I know is that Jungfraujoch is about 200.- CHF a person to go up to
@@DjemoGraphic Thank you 😊
Hi, is it a good time to travel on the 1st week to second week of October?
Hi. Yes, it's nice! Just, you won't see that many colors. Maybe on 2000m, the larches will already be golden. Depends on how foggy and rainy September and the first week of October are.
I'm going from Singapore to Switzerland on May. Do we still require any PCR test or ART test upon arrival?
Hi. I suggest to check the immigration policy on www.eda.admin.ch - thats the most official source

Thank you, sir! I’m a bit nervous but thank you for all your videos it gives me a lot of courage.
Hi @Djemo how about travelling to Swiss in September?
Hi. September is a fantastic month! Cultural!

Sounds like Seattle...
They have a similar climate, just that Seattle is probably a bit milder with its exposure to the ocean.
Hi what About in April ?

Great video but sir i thing the weather of augest is much better than may what is your view on it am i telling right or not
Hi. August is definitely warmer. So if you like to swim in nature then I recommend you August. Regarding rain: August can have heavy rainfall. August is peak season, so you will have more tourists and hotels will cost more.
@@DjemoGraphic But sir if I want to enjoy grindelwald first and a trip to jungfraujoch and many more so what do you think which month or season is best to make it a memorable trip
@@srkfanworldandgamer701 it depends what sort of activities you want to do. In Summer there wont be any snow at Grindelwald First. Grindelwald town will be green. Jungfraujoch is the same all year. If you prefer it warm i suggest June till mid September
