Appreciate you making this video. Mulholland Drive was my first David Lynch movie and it completely changed my perspective. You can watch that one, go through Twin Peaks and finally come to Inland Empire, perhaps his magnum opus.
Laura Dern recounted a conversation she had with one of the movie's new producers, Jeremy Alter. He asked if Lynch was joking when he requested a one-legged woman, a monkey and a lumberjack by 3 :15. "Yeah, you're on a David Lynch movie, dude," Dern replied. "Sit back and enjoy the ride." Dern reported that by 4 p.m. they were shooting with the requested individuals.
Nice tribute to one of the greats. Mulholland Drive is the obvious choice from his filmography, but I would also recommend The Straight Story. It's very unlike anything else he's done.

I've seen a few individual scenes of Inland Empire. I'll get that one in the Criterion sale also!
@ nope , you have to go all in. I watched it twice back to back the first time 😀

@@Indiantravler-c7t the Lynch stories I've been reading about today on BlueSky and the Internet and such have been A+

I'm grabbing MD in the next Criterion sale for sure. I looked up The Straight Story - Sissy Spacek is a favorite, so I'll have to see that one!
