I just find it hard to blame the guy that calls the defense and puts you in position to make a play and the "kids" are not making the play. How can that be blamed by coaching. How is it mikes fault when he calls the right defense and our guy is in position to make the play and he doesn't turn his head. Idk if you have ever played football but you are taught that at a very young age. Watch the eyes, find the ball. And how is it the coaches fault when the our guy misses tackles?
Angelo Papas Yes are guys miss tackles & get burned but Mike hasn't improved this defense at all he run a very confusing defense these kids have no idea what to do, & that is on the coaches they don't know how to run through the play cause the coaches didn't show them what to do. They are young kids that aren't in the NFL Mike runs are very confusing defense you can't do that to these kids.

All i know now is OUs offense is a serious threat to anyone now that Westbrook is healthy, Basquines actually part of the game plan, Mixon is being used both RB and receiver and Mayfield has more than one hurt receiver and a unreliable TE to throw to. Defense is as bad as it could possibly be. I think thats more because the DBs are actually not any good. So much for our secondary supposedly being one of the strengths before the season. Also mike stoops doesnt help matters lol.

Texas Techs defense was obviously just a little worse. keep in mind This was a really really long game too. the way i look at it, Mahomes II broke freaking records this game. You can flip a coin 100 times and it's going to land on tails about 50% of the time. Mahomes II is going to land those hail marys more than 50% of time if all he does is throw them. not OU, not any team can predict and stop every one of those. that's where those crazy yards came from. This was a total shoot out between Mayfield and Mahomes II. except we rand the ball a few more times for a touchdown. We had stops and turnovers. our defense made a lot of great play is the beginning of this game. Then our offense would come out and score really quick. I think OUs D just got tired. OUs offense is just insane to me this year. @12:36 i remember watching this play live and thinking. This team is playoff material. no doubt in my mind. how can you not say the athleticism is among the best! I just think the numbers of this game from one side looks bad compared to a regular standard game. but this wasn't a standard game by any means. the only numbers that matter to me are final numbers on the scoreboard. I would love to see this oklahoma Offense, now another year better. make it to the playoffs and steal a national title. with all of the crazy upsets that has happened in past two weeks. I'm all in for this team. Why not. collage football it's unpredictable. we didnt even have Perine in this game. Having him back has made our offense unstoppable. All i'm saying is Alabama has a great great amazing defense. but you cant win a game if you don't score as many points as the other team. plain ans simple.

Not getting guys where they can line up, consistently being out of position (even last year) is something that falls on him. Also the lack of in game adjustments when things aren't working and the consistent 7-10 yard cushion. Those are on him. Pointing out issues isn't "not being a fan". It's swing reality for what it is. That being said I always resist in calling for someone's career. I love football but it is just football. I would never fire my own brother so I wouldn't pressure anyone else to do that. That's just me though.

We do it to teams all the time. I think the issue comes down to guys making plays. That's just my opinion. Another thing is the recruiting hasn't been what it was. Until the last two years. If you want to complain about why we can't find a corner to compliment Jordan, than I have no issues with that. We should have a solid serviceable guy. No doubt about that. You also have to consider Sanchez left one year early. So did the leading tackler two or three years in a row. Alexander.
The dude brought a lifeless Browns team from a 30 something loss team to a first playoff win team in 3 years despite a HC change and 3 OC changes. Now he's with the Panthers. Lets see what he can do. Not all QBs have been blessed being drafted by organizations with stable coaching staffs.
He did not bring them from nothing to something alone though. The roster was one of the best the browns had seen in decades. You are not wrong about it being a terrible franchise, but that still doesn't mean he is gonna be like he was in this highlight anytime soon. I am simply saying this is a crazy good Baker Mayfield in this game in particular, but I really don't think we will ever see him perform even close to this in the NFL at any point.
