FOR CONSOLE PLAYERS!! We don't want to give you false information and as we do not play console we shouldnt offer aim advice BUT apparently if you're on console go to a custom game against 6 anas, up your damage to 200%, and enable head shots only. This is a very good way to practise! Hope this helped!
Why 200% though? Wouldn't they die quicker that way? I usually turn down damage to 25% so they last longer. If your intent is precision sniping and you don't want yourself to spam, just take one shot, wait a sec, then take another shot. Seems like a waste to have the bots die that quick and have to wait around for them to respawn. Ana training is great though. Both on skirmish because it trains you on where the health packs are (the bots always run to the nearest one), and how to lead your shots because the bots travel in a somewhat predicable path when they're injured, and normal matches because the bots are clumped up on the point and run around randomly. I also recommend slowly increasing your sensitivity as you train your accuracy. I actually started at EIGHT. That's right 8. Any higher and my character would look like a tripped out raver waving their gun around as tried to aim. Now I'm up to 70 and it feels natural, can't believe I ever had it set so low. Also make sure your vertical and horizontal sensitivity are the same or it'll mess up your diagonal aiming. I didn't know this for the longest time.
A lot of people are asking for console but unfortunately we don't play this game on them and wouldnt be able to offer valuable advice for it. I would assume the only real way to improve though would be playing as much as possible and also some aim training in the practise room on the bots that move. Try flicking as you get more consistent and hopefully improve your aim over time. Hope this cleared things up for you guys!
I have an easy answer for them actually, go to a custom game, fill the enemy team with ana bots on the difficulty you prefer and in the settings for the game select headshot only, ana can't headshot so you will never take damage and they strafe so you can practice tracking while only being able to land headshots
first off any non-mechanics based advice is equally valid except small things like Torbs turret DPS. Second of all fuck off, Overwatch has a majority cpu player base, and they don't have to make content that isn't relevant to them if they don't want to? Why not watch a console specific overwatch channel if you want console specific advice, sincerely- someone who plays on PS4 and Xbox One and doesn't bitch about it

The internet runs off of American English. You know, because American culture is so dominant that it's become the standard throughout the world? Sorry, boy-o. Your language is ours, now.
Tracking and headshot practice can both be done by making a custom game, add a few Ana AI against you, put on headshots only. They can't damage you and move around occasionally while shooting you. Perfect in game way to train your aim.
Alex Night It's called backing up. I still use this and it works fine. Just kill them and back up. Works fine for Soldier, Mcree, Tracer, Hanzo, Zen, and plenty of other characters.
Is it weird that I'm more accurate with projectiles than I am with hitscan? I can use Zen's orbs and Mei's right click effectively (from medium to long distances) as well as get direct hits with Pharah's rockets consistently but I can't, for the life of me, hit anything with McCree or Widowmaker. I can track fairly well with Soldier and Tracer and Reaper are basically only effective at point blank range that it's hard NOT to hit your shots but that's about it lol.
Well as I come from tf2, I find it extremely easier to hit direct hits with rockets and junkrat's bombs than hitting hitscans, and that's because I haven't played any other fps on pc apart tf2. :)
Not one player in the history of Overwatch has ever done even one point of damage with Winston. There aren't any tips because improving is a hopeless endeavor that will only lead to more and more crushing failure. It's just too challenging.
As a global elite player of Counter Strike I would like to add that the most important factors that stops the transfer of Counterstrike aim and experience into other games are the 2 things below; 1. In Counter Strike you generally only need ONE HS for a kill, thus you're practicing first bullet accuracy vs OW where you need to at many times hit multiple HS in a row. 2. In Counter Strike, the movement is alot more realistic and VERY linear vs OW. In CS all models have the same hit box and move at the exact same speed, CS models also do not move fast enough as compared to OW where every hero moves at different speeds, some heroes like Tracer who literally TELEPORTS around, Widow with an insanely small hit box, Zara the tank with a tiny head yet requiring multiple HS to kill etc... I suggest that the game most similar to training for OW be Quake rather than counter strike as OW is by no means a "tactical shooter" based on any realism.
GUYS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VID. Mc Cree is by far my fav character alongside Tracer and Mercy but I can barely aim with him. I have +13h playing him and I'm pretty bad; I simply cannot go to comp playing Mc Cree. I hope this help me to improve my aiming. Thank you again. You are becoming my favourite Overwatch UA-cam Channel. I subscribed when you were almost at 20k subs and I'm glad you are almost 70k now.
As a long time gamer who only recently got into PC gaming, this is exactly what I needed. My aim, particularly with hitscan heroes, needs a lot of work. I'm very competitive so not being able to play as well as I think I should be has been frustrating. I've been playing more McCree in an attempt to develop better aim, but getting comfortable in a live fire scenario isn't ideal, so having drills I can do alone is a god-send.
I didn't like the training tips you gave.. for some people it might be hard to buy cs:go,which costs around 15-20 euros (especially for academic students like me, every penny matters.). There are things you can do though on Overwatch to train your aim. What I am doing is to make a custom game set, put bots on the opponent team on hard mode( I always choose ana because of her relatively small hitbox, and because she tries to keep her distance mostly at mid range but frequently changes to long and short range as well, which appears to be the only bot to do so), then I go to settings set 200% damage modifier , headshots only:ON,ability cd percentage on 0%(which is optional, I do it so I can train my combat roll shots with mccree), and set the game on skirmish mode(so it doesn't end fast). During the training process my aim is to improve. What I mean is, I have set a goal on 50 eliminations every day(takes around 6-7 minutes) and after each training session I keep notes for my time and accuracy, after I finish. If i have better accuracy or time or both than before it means I am improved. If not, it means that i need more work, so I will basically redo the whole thing(every second matters, and every 1% matters as well). The heroes that you can do this training session are: Mccree, Widowmaker, Hanzo, Mei(secondary fire), Genji(primary fire but it is relatively harder than the others so I recommend changing the training session a bit in terms of kill limit etc), Zennyata, Solider76(I am not entirely sure tho cause I haven't tried it) and even Tracer.
To practice certain combos(for example genji's combos), I recommend going to the training levels first and see what you can do there. If you find it extremely easy and you don't improve I recommend doing the same as above but with differend settings(100% damage modifier, Ability cd percentage on 0%, Headshots Only:Off, Skirmish mode). In that ocassion you need to take your time, there is no need to place a time/kill limit. You'll understand when you improved on that aspect by succeeding your combos more frequently.
Its also important to note that how you move affects for your aiming. For instance using left right arrow keys when finding a target helps me aim but also makes me a harder target to hit, but pressing forward and/or arrow key really messes up my aim. I figured this out and made adjustments and improved dramatically. Just something to be conscious of while practicing. Always remember to not be going through the motions when practicing. That is the worst thing you can do
Thank you a million times thank you, I have been struggling with tracking for a while now. New mouse, new desk, much larger area to move the mouse. I went from 1800DPI and 16 Overwatch sensitivity to 800, now 600 DPI and about 5-6 Overwatch sensitivity. My biggest problem is tracking... tracking and more tracking... I can flick shot consistently all day, but trying to focus a target and track it until I've done my damage has been so inconsistent. I also play Mccree quite a bit these days so the tracking is evermore important.
Great suggestion for new players! I used to recommended using Unreal Tournament 2k4 back in the day, especially because there's a game speed mutator available by default that can be used to make the game run faster than normal. That was always great as a daily bot match training session since I could set it to whatever gun I wanted and have to track targets in an abnormally fast and hectic environment.
Ironically, I'm the exact opposite. I have little trouble with widow and hanzo, but I feel that Mcree is very awkward for me. I think it is kind of the style of the character itself...
+entschuldigung Flick shots are a really important part of Widows mechanics. Long flicks are not the most consistent, so you do want to move around as to make your flicks shorter and quicker.
+Andrew Neumann, maybe you could think of him as a spammable widow? When I go from widow to mccree, I tend to try to take very precise slow shots. And though that may work, I often forget how fast and powerful his shots are. You don't have to wait for your gun to charge, or your enemies to come into the perfect range.
bubblejuiceman I think what is part of the problem is that his aiming feels different for me. While others feel more like you can twitch aim, his feels a tad more floaty as I move the reticle. Perhaps I just need to find the right sensitivity, but I just can't use him properly. I'm also a more projectile based player, so I'm great with Pharah, Ana, Lucio and Genji, but for some reason, I just can't get used to him...
for console training i recommend going into a custom game and turning on the headshot only modifier. pick your hero and make the opposing team out of characters that cannot headshot (winston, Reinhardt, junkrat, ana, symmetra, etc) this allows you to practice on moving targets whilst not being able to be hurt. set the game to skirmish and go for broke. it's helped me with hit scan and projectile accuracy
I would think practicing hitscan would hurt me if I'm trying to improve with a projectile hero. Aiming is reflex training not something you think about whole doing it, so I have to guess that aim drills will throw off my target lead in games. With this concern in mind as a Zen primary in competative, I've begun to avoid using Soldier and McCree even in quick play. If I'm going to use a character other than Zen it has to be a char that doesn't require me to demonstrate precision shooting at opponents down range.
Thanks man. That tips with CS:GO and these maps, as well as the overwatchsens really helped me a lot to improve my overall aim and tracking. Really can't thank you enough for this information. Keep up the good work!
I think this is exactly the advice I've been needing! I'm really into your flexibility in wiling to direct players to go to other games to work on skills that will translate into OW. I'd been considering poking around in CS:GO, but never made the leap because it's not really the game I want to play. I do own it, though, and now that I know where to go for specific drills I'll definitely be doing that. Thank you!
Someone needs to make a program where I can import my sens from whatever game I choose and it automatically matches that when I launch a different game.
Much better suggestions than most vidoes on this that I have seen. However, there are some tiny flaws that people should be aware of (and that you should mention): 1. Even though the drills might give you better muscle memory, there is more to hitting something in Overwatch. It is not just about reaction, it is about reacting TO the right stimulus. In other words: If you are good at tracking a green dot or a CS model then you are good at tracking a green dot or a CS model. Since the heads in Overwatch have different sizes and different positions on the models, your CS tracking won't translate 1:1 into tracking a specific point on an Overwatch model. Your brain won't have the correct stimuli to automatically do that. 2. In Overwatch you pretty much never stand still. Hitting anything in OW is about a marriage between movement/dodging and mouse coordination. Since CS models move at different speeds, you can't practice that fusion of the two halfs that make up your aim in OW. I notice this every time Lucio switches to speed and my McCree aim falls off a cliff. Not to mention speed boost or getting an Ana ult. So, don't get me wrong, the drills are not a bad idea. Just be aware that they only cover a portion (it's debatable how much) of OV aim. Even though the practice range in OW sucks, I prefer to make up my own drills in the practice range. Also, there is that method of opening a custom game and putting in an all Ana bot team and disabling body shot dmg. That way you have a bunch of Anas strafing around that can't hit you because they can't headshot at all while you have a real OW target that is moving at the speed that you want to practice for while moving at the speed you want to practice yourself.
Question: Do the hit-scan weapons in Overwatch have travel time? If they do, you'd have to slightly predict where an enemy was going to go. If they didn't have travel time, then you'd simply shoot their head and get a head shot.
One thing I like to do in OW to improve my aim is going into a custom skirmish game and use headshots only That works especially with characters that can't headshot as enemy bots. (Zarya or Ana) Depending on what bots you use you can practice aiming in a calm situation (against only Zaryas for instance) and also switching targets, when e.g. a Zenyata comes around that can actually headshot you. Personally I feel like it helps a lot more than the actual training area since you have less predictable enemies and different hitboxes.
I find OSU to be a good tool to practice with. It's a ton of fun to play just on it's own, and it help with basic aiming principles. Matching your sens to get the most out of it is a little more difficult since its more obscure than CS, but you can still find tools to do so online. Most of them require a fee, but OSU itself is free and is still helpful and fun even if you cant match sens perfectly.
For projectile training I recommend playing some league or smite because those games have heroes that are heavy skillshot reliant and you have to learn how to predict and lead targets.
Something I've been doing as of late (and especially because I don't have CS:GO for the maps shown in the video) is creating a custom skirmish game with nothing but hard Anas on both teams with headshots only. Having a full roster of Ana bots on your team is important, because it gives the enemy bots someone other than you to focus on, which in turn makes them move around all over the place in a manner that more closely emulates a real match. It's not perfect, but with the enemy team darting around all over the place trying to shoot your team's bots, it's proven to be challenging enough to yield some noticeable gains in accuracy. Hope this helps~
Some time ago I came across one method of training on an OW channel. Custom game, add hard AI Ana to the enemy team, select skirmish, headshot only, adjust the damage, and practice Mccree/Hanzo. No need for CS GO
On console I like to practice my aim on reactive items in the environment. Basketballs and cardboard boxes work best I think as when you shoot them they go off in a direction and attempting to hit them while they are flying away is difficult and helps better my aim with whatever character I'm using. As far as sensitivity I have different sensitivities even among shooting characters. Ana and reaper are a little higher as I'm generally shooting up close targets so my targets are bigger. Zen and soldier are a little lower as I'm aiming farther away and they take a little more precision. Junkrat is higher as I don't need to be precise most of the time, I just need to fill a general area with his grenades. Winston and Rein are all the way up though since the enemy just has to be in front of me in order for me to hit them. That's my two cents coming from a console perspective.
For projectile aim I would recommend TF2 and the tr_walkway map. It comes with the ability to preform airshot practice too. After playing TF2 so much, my projectile aim in OW didn't require much tweaking. In fact, it was much easier since target movement speed is slow in OW.
said this in the last video but thought it was worth saying again. I'd love a pharah and mercy guide, I really have no clue how to work with a pharah as a mercy.
not to be rude, but i mean it is kinda common sense. Pharah allows Mercy to stay very mobile and with Pharah boosted the two go hand in hand which also allows for mercy to have quick get out of there possibilities.
Yeah it can be tricky because when you boost to her your an easy target so dont just float like a butterfly gracefully down all the time, be unpredictable, boost up then let go of spacebar to fall faster then boost etc etc.
Watching a lot of "Your Overwatch" "Overwatch Central" and the Esport Stuff. U guys all do a great job and that need a big Thanks!!! Started to follow the tips and i see improvement on myself real quick. Next step must be communication :)
@YourOverwatch, you should try surfing servers too, it will improve your mouse control, movement.(it might look really hard at start, but you'll find out) I have been playing cs go for couple years, it helped me a lot. (even pro players do that)
Idk about matching my Counter Strike Sensitivity. I haven't been switching back and forth but if I had as low of a Sens in Overwatch as I do in CS I wouldn't be able to use characters like tracer. In CS you are extremely stationary when you shot and its less about a footsie game, on OW if you play a very mobile Hero you have to factor your movement and aim and ability to move your aim fast enough to compensate your movement. You could get away with it with players like MeCree, Widow and Hanzo, but once you start playing Tracer and Genji it can backfire.
How would u recommend practicing air shots? The TF2 community probably has some good tools, but I'm pretty sure that the travel time is significantly different (even on the direct hit)
something I do to improve my tracking and aim is start up a custom game in overwatch, add 6 enemy hard ana bots, change game mode to skirmish, select whatever map I want, change it to headshot only then run around slaughtering grandma's that can't headshot you back as tracer or mccree while constantly moving/strafing
I'm so glad you made this video! The other day, I was thinking about exactly this, and thought to myself.. "I'm sure there are tools out there to help improve aim!"
Hello, seems like you're playing with a low sensitivity mice setting. So i'm assuming you move with your arm but do you also shoot with your arm? Or do you use your wrist to shoot and arm to move around/locate your target seperately. or you do both??
So one of the ways that I train my accuracy in Overwatch as McCree is to go into a custom game with anna bots. You turn on 200% damage and headshots only. It really helps at least for me. This would also work on consoles.
Thank you. Been looking all over for some practises I can use instead of people say this and that and "practise makes perfect" of course it does but show me what to practise!!
Finaly an aim related video that does not only tell you to extremly lower sens and get huge ass mousepad. Honestly, this vid is like a needle in a haystack! Way, way, way, WAY better than milions of other "improve your aim by lowering sens" videos. As a person with small space for mouse, these are extremly annoying ones. On the other hand your video focus on way to improve on any sens you are comfortable with. HUGE + for that. Only thing that bother me a little is that you could show maps for the most common aiming problems (i'm not expert, but preety sure there are way more than 2 ;) ), not only the two you have, but still great video.
Hmm, I played CS for about 2 months before Overwatch's release, to polish my fps skills from the past cs 1.6 days. But I never really thought about practicing in the range on special maps.
Thanks very much for this, i'm starting to notice some improvement, do you have any drills you recommend for practicing as widow? on a side note, anyone who wants to get better as hanzo could play warframe(free to play) their bow weapons aim and fire similar to hanzo's bow
Hey Eddy, great video. What is your take on sensitivity across different characters? Do you use the same on Hanzo that you do Genji or the same on Pharah that you do on Mccree? Does changing the sensitivity for different characters throw off your aim?
Any comments on the Custom Game Skirmish only headshots with a bunch of Ana AI? I've found that helps for practicing my headshot-capable projectile heroes (Zenyatta in particular)
1 open overwatch custom game. 2 you vs six Ana 3 headshots only 4 king of the hill map 5 adjust health settings for difficulty 6 win once you can headshot all six fast enough please do a video on this. i call it the hyperbolic time chamber

Tracer Freedo wrote this who is american, personally i dont mind which anyone uses just no need to try and make a deal of it when its the correct spelling -W
I wasn't trying to make anything a big deal. You guys were the one trying to make me feel stupid about pointing out something I thought was interesting. Never thought it was wrong. Neither is a wrong spelling. The U.K. uses both spellings and the US uses one way.
I wish I could do all this directly in Overwatch. They could make us a different training map, or a possibility to set one up like we do with custom game.
Quick question, I often see you shooting at a Zarya with her shield or a shielded target regardless with seemingly no worry, often killing the player after the shield drops. Is this on purpose, presumably to drop the shield and kill the target with that weighed higher than a more powerful Zarya?
hey guys I'm considering switching from xbox 1 to pc, any tips for starting out on pc for a high schooler without an official job yet but has around 200 dollars and can make around 40$ per month plus birthday coming up
first word of advice, don't buy a pc or laptop from retailers. They rip you off. You're better off going on ebay and buying a custom built pc (There are shops on ebay where you get to choose your parts) and buying it off there. $200 is more than enough. Of course buying the parts yourself and building it is better, but for a beginner, what I said above is pretty good
Also no need to get the best gpu and a shit ton of rams you can easily get a medium-high end pc for 200$ and you could upgrade it later on when you get more cash.
This is going to sound weird, but as an FPS / CSGO Vet - My issue with Overwatch is the strafe speed. The tapping of a direction left or right completely deviates my crosshair by probably 5 or 6 pixels in that direction. The jump is so big that I struggle to keep the crosshair on my central location whenever I strafe. Any tips?
My idea for practise aim in Overwatch- make a shirmish costom game with Lucio bots (or outher heroes) and fight them. They move more random, and you can change difficulty by changing enemy heroes and there difficulty. Of course it is not as good as cs tools- but it would be free and in overwatch. What is your thought about this?
Wow i tried counter strike and my game play as a mccree has inproved. When i first started to play overwatch i thought mccree was a really bad character. Now i love playing him. I recommend this video to help eveyone that need to inprove there aim.
As i recall force had a similar video but he goes to custom match places headshot only and 200 percent dmg against ana would that be a good substitute for consistency i feel that my aim is better reaching avg 48 percent but nit sure if consistent
Custom game, hard Ana bots, headshot only. I practice with this about 1-3 times a week, and it helps. Granted, I'm naturally good at aiming anyway, but still, this is the best thing for aim practice in Overwatch.
I usually just spend my pregame trying to shoot basketballs repeatedly. TBH though I'm still trying to think of a good way to improve my aim when zipping around as a Tracer of Genji. The practice range just doesn't feel like it cuts it :\
You could also do Custom games with the enemy being Ana bots hard, and disable all but head shots using skirmish match - they can't kill you but you can practice getting those head shots
I have same problem like you , somethimes i can get every single shot that i shot but sometimes i can t even get one... ( talking about Cs go with the Awp)

Tracking and headshot practice can both be done by making a custom game, add a few Ana AI against you, put on headshots only. They can't damage you and move around occasionally while shooting you. Perfect in game way to train your aim.
Except they changed the AI behavior for Ana where they don't actually act like players. They don't stay at a respectable distance anymore.
Alex Night It's called backing up. I still use this and it works fine. Just kill them and back up. Works fine for Soldier, Mcree, Tracer, Hanzo, Zen, and plenty of other characters.
I train in the "Aim Hero". This is a game on Steam.
GGHF Just checked out Aim Hero, looks good. Are there any settings needed to setup to make the experience similar to Overwatch?
how do you match sensitivity?
I really like using www.mouse-sensitivity.com/
There's a setting to make sensivity either be like Overwatch or CSGO
Is it weird that I'm more accurate with projectiles than I am with hitscan? I can use Zen's orbs and Mei's right click effectively (from medium to long distances) as well as get direct hits with Pharah's rockets consistently but I can't, for the life of me, hit anything with McCree or Widowmaker. I can track fairly well with Soldier and Tracer and Reaper are basically only effective at point blank range that it's hard NOT to hit your shots but that's about it lol.
The projectile hit boxes are bigger for projectiles
Funny coz this is pretty much me as well
They are both easier and harder to hit, at close range they are easier due to the hit-boxes and at longer they are harder because of travel time.
Same. I'll hit most shots that I properly aim with Hanzo, but won't hit a single shot with McCree
Well as I come from tf2, I find it extremely easier to hit direct hits with rockets and junkrat's bombs than hitting hitscans, and that's because I haven't played any other fps on pc apart tf2. :)
Plz help, I need better aim on Winston, can anyone give me tips?
Winston is the most complicated hero in the game. Why do you think there aren't any aim tips for him? He's the hardest character to play!
Not one player in the history of Overwatch has ever done even one point of damage with Winston. There aren't any tips because improving is a hopeless endeavor that will only lead to more and more crushing failure. It's just too challenging.
When I play Winston I just go melee
Just dicks out
Mental help yes
If you're on console go to a custom game against 6 anas, up your damage to 200%, and enable head shots only (not my idea but is very good)
Thanks!
Valkia?
i guess ill delete my comment where i just said this. Force?
That is not limited to console and works fine on PC as well.
i heard they changed it to where anas know they cant kill you, and run now
As a global elite player of Counter Strike I would like to add that the most important factors that stops the transfer of Counterstrike aim and experience into other games are the 2 things below;
You guys are the best! 70k subs and still replying to most comments, I'm your fan freedough
If you don't have CS:GO but are interested in getting it for training, it goes on sale all the time for like $5 if its a bad sale.
Should be easy to get 20euros. Skip 1 day overwatch and work for someone :)
industab I am a full time academic student on digital systems, If I start working then my studies will be fucked..
ImActuallyANiceGuy
1 day does not fuck you up :)
For those without CS:GO:
1. Go into a custom game.
2. Populate it with Ana bots.
3. Enable headshots only.
your channel is the definition of underrated, this helped me out a bunch
Great suggestion for new players! I used to recommended using Unreal Tournament 2k4 back in the day, especially because there's a game speed mutator available by default that can be used to make the game run faster than normal. That was always great as a daily bot match training session since I could set it to whatever gun I wanted and have to track targets in an abnormally fast and hectic environment.
Simple way to improve your aim: Pick mcree, charge your ultimate, press Q.
It's nice that you covered mccree, but what about Widow?
I'm also a more projectile based player, so I'm great with Pharah, Ana, Lucio and Genji, but for some reason, I just can't get used to him...
play awp
for console training i recommend going into a custom game and turning on the headshot only modifier. pick your hero and make the opposing team out of characters that cannot headshot (winston, Reinhardt, junkrat, ana, symmetra, etc) this allows you to practice on moving targets whilst not being able to be hurt. set the game to skirmish and go for broke. it's helped me with hit scan and projectile accuracy
Best video I've found so far on improving. Thank you for this.
1:34 I wanted to see the D.Va fall through the crack when you stunned her LOL
Definitely one of the best guide channels for FPS Gamers out there! Great work and thank you very much! :)
Much better suggestions than most vidoes on this that I have seen. However, there are some tiny flaws that people should be aware of (and that you should mention):
Du you guys have any good tips or videos for a wido player that want to inprove Aim?
you could use the scout sniper in these CS maps as it requires a headshot to kill, not perfect but good enough
Tryed COD didnt like it.
Don't play her
One thing I like to do in OW to improve my aim is going into a custom skirmish game and use headshots only
That works especially with characters that can't headshot as enemy bots. (Zarya or Ana)
Depending on what bots you use you can practice aiming in a calm situation (against only Zaryas for instance) and also switching targets, when e.g. a Zenyata comes around that can actually headshot you.
I play OSU also, it's definitely more fun then just clicking on targets for 30 minutes.
cant believe how great this channel is. it's my go to for anything overwatch and has highly improved my gameplay. thanks and keep up the good work
For projectile training I recommend playing some league or smite because those games have heroes that are heavy skillshot reliant and you have to learn how to predict and lead targets.
Something I've been doing as of late (and especially because I don't have CS:GO for the maps shown in the video) is creating a custom skirmish game with nothing but hard Anas on both teams with headshots only. Having a
full roster of Ana bots on your team is important, because it gives the enemy bots someone other than you to focus on, which in turn makes them move around all over the place in a manner that more closely emulates a
real match. It's not perfect, but with the enemy team darting around all over the place trying to shoot your team's bots, it's proven to be challenging enough to yield some noticeable gains in accuracy.
Hope this helps~
Helped me out a lot, improved my weapon accuracy by a ton!
Some time ago I came across one method of training on an OW channel. Custom game, add hard AI Ana to the enemy team, select skirmish, headshot only, adjust the damage, and practice Mccree/Hanzo. No need for CS GO
Just tried out the practice maps... and damn thats hard. I see how it can improve the aim. Going to start doing this. Thanks.
I swear you only 49,000 subs yesterday. Nice jobs on the new subs. Really love you guys videos videos.
said this in the last video but thought it was worth saying again. I'd love a pharah and mercy guide, I really have no clue how to work with a pharah as a mercy.
Both have been done on the channel! Just go back a week or 2
not to be rude, but i mean it is kinda common sense. Pharah allows Mercy to stay very mobile and with Pharah boosted the two go hand in hand which also allows for mercy to have quick get out of there possibilities.
Your Overwatch thanks for telling me :).
Harley Quinn I find I have trouble not dying while following pharahs as mercy.
Yeah it can be tricky because when you boost to her your an easy target so dont just float like a butterfly gracefully down all the time, be unpredictable, boost up then let go of spacebar to fall faster then boost etc etc.
Harley Quinn Thanks for the advice
old Quake 3 is great for projectile practice! I think that's why I like Pharah so much. reminds me of the rocket launcher in Q3.
(even pro players do that)
Well this is just uncanny now. Every time I have a question about Overwatch, you release a video answering it. GET OUT OF MY HEAD.
Where should I start if I suck at all aspects of aiming? I mostly play support, but I'd like to be better in the handful of games that I fill in DPS.
Can you do "Improve aim for projectiles?" I love playing Ana, genji, Phara and I want learn different ways of practicing aim for them.
"Since Overwatch has taken over my life" lmfao good video as always!
Should also have movement + aiming drills where you also move as the target moves. Basic strafing to quick juking increasing difficulty.
i have overwatch for ps4 should i get it for pc?
So one of the ways that I train my accuracy in Overwatch as McCree is to go into a custom game with anna bots. You turn on 200% damage and headshots only. It really helps at least for me. This would also work on consoles.
Thank you. Been looking all over for some practises I can use instead of people say this and that and "practise makes perfect" of course it does but show me what to practise!!
wow dude thanks this really helps I never thought about training that way
Gonna make use of this, for sure. Thanks!
If you can calculate, TheXclusiveAce has some drills if you play COD that can help you with hitting multiple shots.
Any tips for aiming as Hanzo? The non-hitscan gets me alot.
Tf2 would be recommended for projectile heroes though, junkrat and zarya can be learnt from demoman and hanzo from a sniper using the huntsman
Hey Eddy, great video. What is your take on sensitivity across different characters? Do you use the same on Hanzo that you do Genji or the same on Pharah that you do on Mccree? Does changing the sensitivity for different characters throw off your aim?
Good vid. Have you tried using fast aim/reflex training?
Any comments on the Custom Game Skirmish only headshots with a bunch of Ana AI?
I've found that helps for practicing my headshot-capable projectile heroes (Zenyatta in particular)
hey your overwatch can you make a video on how to judge your own skill?
i mean critically of course to know if you do something wrong or your team did
Question: Can you do Headshots with Phara? I think you cant but i´m not sure ...
1 open overwatch custom game.
2 you vs six Ana
3 headshots only
4 king of the hill map
5 adjust health settings for difficulty
6 win once you can headshot all six fast enough
please do a video on this. i call it the hyperbolic time chamber
Hey Eddy I have been trying to improve my aim and I was wondering what you thought of the Ana Bot method that has been floating around UA-cam?
Practise, interesting
Practise is the verb form of the word in UK English, those who invented the language mind you. Different regions spell things differently. gyazo.com/a368bcd67f12cd1e73cb84e49a81e298
Wow you guys invented the language? Gold star for you. And I already knew this but I just rarely see anyone spell it like that in videos.
Tracer Freedo wrote this who is american, personally i dont mind which anyone uses just no need to try and make a deal of it when its the correct spelling -W
I agree that it's interesting, I'd never seen that before and it's not every day I learn new things about English. Cool.
I wasn't trying to make anything a big deal. You guys were the one trying to make me feel stupid about pointing out something I thought was interesting. Never thought it was wrong. Neither is a wrong spelling. The U.K. uses both spellings and the US uses one way.
Yet again another really helpful vid!
Grats on 70k,too :)
I wish I could do all this directly in Overwatch. They could make us a different training map, or a possibility to set one up like we do with custom game.
I'm getting back into gaming after a 10+ year hiatus! I will need to practice quite a bit ( nice video btw) Any modern mouse recommendation ?
How do you determine what exactly you need to work on for your aim?
Quick question, I often see you shooting at a Zarya with her shield or a shielded target regardless with seemingly no worry, often killing the player after the shield drops. Is this on purpose, presumably to drop the shield and kill the target with that weighed higher than a more powerful Zarya?
Yes, they made a video about shooting Zarya's shields stating that man advantage nigh always trumps powering up Zarya.
Ah, thanks for pointing that out :)
Nice video and advises. Can you link me to where I can download those CS:GO training map please?
They are now in the description :)
hey guys I'm considering switching from xbox 1 to pc, any tips for starting out on pc for a high schooler without an official job yet but has around 200 dollars and can make around 40$ per month plus birthday coming up
first word of advice, don't buy a pc or laptop from retailers. They rip you off. You're better off going on ebay and buying a custom built pc (There are shops on ebay where you get to choose your parts) and buying it off there. $200 is more than enough.
Of course buying the parts yourself and building it is better, but for a beginner, what I said above is pretty good
thanks man
Also no need to get the best gpu and a shit ton of rams you can easily get a medium-high end pc for 200$ and you could upgrade it later on when you get more cash.
+Mr. Blonde "easily get a medium-high end pc for $200"
Kurukulla oh i admit that might've been really unrealistic...but for 400$~ you can get med-hi end pc for sure.
custom match headshot only, all Anas on hard is a decent practice I use. they can't head shot and they move a lot on control maps .
Great video, amazing results experienced. Keep up the great work!
Any tips?
thanks for the tips; i will immediatly go to CS now^^ any recommendations on good podcasts :D?
Granted, I'm naturally good at aiming anyway, but still, this is the best thing for aim practice in Overwatch.
any advice for Mercy players? genji and teacer are hard to hit.
So can someone help me with some terms about overwatch that i still don't understand, like what exactly is king of the hill maps? And what is hitscan?
Your Overwatch, can you tell me your mouse sensitivity you use in CS:GO? I want to see if it can also fit for my movements.
would a game of unreal tournament not help with projectiles, unreal with godlike bots I find helps for both hit scan and projectiles in general
I wanna get good at sniping (Widowmaker). any good drills csgo maps/modes for this?
I usually just spend my pregame trying to shoot basketballs repeatedly. TBH though I'm still trying to think of a good way to improve my aim when zipping around as a Tracer of Genji. The practice range just doesn't feel like it cuts it :\
You could also do Custom games with the enemy being Ana bots hard, and disable all but head shots using skirmish match - they can't kill you but you can practice getting those head shots
I have same problem like you , somethimes i can get every single shot that i shot but sometimes i can t even get one... ( talking about Cs go with the Awp)
