I remember making a custom track in Climax with backwards boosts, I had no idea they had already done in OFFICIALLY with the E-reader of all things! LOL
I really want the complete version of GP Legend + e-reader tracks to be on NSO. Imagine being able to play these with friends (and not have to jump through hoops to do so).
they should be adding maximum velocity sometime in the future, but i hope to god they add gp legend with its e-reader tracks included. that would be a true gift
Illusion looks cool, that one Mute City with the backwards boosters are DIRTY, that first Lightning track has a crazy map, and I really want the first Mist Flow to be added to F-Zero 99.
I believe it was not sold in the US, so that is why some e-Reader exclusive characters were just available through normal gameplay in the North American version of this game. Overall, it unsurprising that many people don't know that this game had e-Reader support. I'm glad I could share these rare tracks with people.
6:53 Yea the game isn't fooling me, that's the Monaco circuit without a doubt. Though it's interesting to see whoever put it here trying their best to scale it down.
The illusion track had new sprites with that green stuff. It also appears on other tracks. Interesting. I love GP legends it's my favourite of the 2D ones. Never would have imagined that there were E reader tracks
Hey man! Definitely saw you on 99 a bunch of time! (Ign is high af) Man I definitely need those cards, are they japan exclusive?? Didn't even know these were a thing, GP legend is so good
Hi! I do know of a player named "high af" in 99 😂. Yes, the cards were a Japanese exclusive product and can be hard to find. However, you can add the card exclusive tracks to the American and European versions of GP Legend through emulation, like I did here.
@@renyama8524 ahh so the japanese cards wouldn't be compatible on US hardware? Damn.. I still have my e-reader with mostly Pokemon cards but I never tried japanese cards so far. What I could try is, I have a thing called a Game Boy Epilogue that allows me to use my real cartridges on my PC, back up saves and so on, perhaps load my real cart in an emulator and unlock them with Gane Shark codes?

Mist Flow would be a VERY interesting map on F-Zero 99. Definitely a map to wrap up a grand prix.

those backwards boosters are hilarious, they should put those in 99 man
Nintendo troll moment
The second Mist Flow's track layout certainly is interesting. At least it's not flipped the other way.
This is sooooo cool! I really hope they add this to F-Zero 99 🤞
I didn't even know this game had e-reader functionality.

@@renyama8524yes thank you for sharing! i would have never know this had existed if it werent for your efforts
Oh man, something I need to add to my collection now!

Imagine using Black Bull on that hand Illusion track lol what a nightmare
I did that, and it was like driving on a small Japanese mountain dirt road with a Mack truck.
@@renyama8524 Sounds about right lmao
I wish theyd put this on the Switch
Same.
I wanna play Mist Flow so bad just to see how many golden foxes get bodied by the mines.

Why is no one talking about the long anticipated sequel "BIG FOOT"?
Glorious

12:03 Can you get to the heart on that one? Is it made out of jump pads or something?
It's purely there just for a visual purpose. I think it is impossible to reach that far out into the track, and I think it is made out of normal road.
I bet this will be available as soon as they find the missing files for e-reader for this game on NSO. They already did with Mario.
Very topical
now this one is just wacky 8:45
Right? There’s so much going on in that track I was getting confused too.
What’s your favorite F-Zero game in this format (more or less similar to the SNES game)
My favorite 2d F-zero game has to be F-zero Climax. I prefer the games similar to the original SNES one like GP Legend and Maximum Velocity.
@@renyama8524 Thanks for the answer I’d love to play these more. I’m gonna add you on switch in a bit just incase you’re wondering who it is
13:42 Is it me or does the track layout look like what I think it looks like???
At first I saw it as a flower, but more and more I think I'm seeing what you're seeing
It isn't the Nazi Swastika, it is the Asian, unappropriated original
Whoa
Hey, is the Illusion track not one of the pre-saved custom tracks in Climax?
Kind of, in F-zero Climax there is a hand-shaped track but it uses the Silence layout instead of Illusion.
Hey you should turn on interframe blending on your emulator to get rid of the annoying blinking map and display it how it should be
Okay, the Mist Flow track looks like a swastika.
Ok
Wait what?! I didnt know this game have e-reader. How did you find out?
Didn’t someone release a hack to add all this back in?
Someone released the file containing these tracks and I added them in with an emulator.
Is there any gba rom of this version?
How do you play this?
can you have an ar code for it pls
Every line the commentator says makes me cringe
Some say that in F-zero Climax the announcer was even more annoying lol
