The music..the menu option sound effects the aesthetics the charm. I LOVED this game when I was kid. My favorite sound in the game has always been the one that plays when selecting a game mode.

Mine was the Toyota GT-ONE on Like the Wind. Before I knew how to tune a Dodge Viper, and then I never had that problem again. But yeah, 787B was a nightmare to face on tracks with lots of corners.
I loved the 787B in GT4, by the way what's up with that weird way to start up after taking a corner in that game?. Anyways that car swept the floor in GT4, the 787B in GT3, dear god no amount of upgrades could ever fix it

Btw this game is the reason my dream car is the supra mk4.. ever since i was 7, i'm now 24, and almost there financially wise

I loved playing this game as a kid. I wasn't a big fan of race cars. But it was always fun playing this game. I would always use this car at 10:59. It just became my #1 favorite after playing as that car for such a long while. This game will always have a special place in my heart.
@@RisenFlow because people don't want to maintain their cars properly. The German cars are "better" because they don't break down. But noone tells the amount of restauration after 300000km required
Still here in 2024. This was the first sim racer I ever played back in 02 with my dad and I still replay though it every now and than. The graphics still hold up quite well too
Man, the nostalgia. When my parents first bought me my PS2 this game was the only one I had for months. And me and my dad would play tf out every game mode, even tho we are not car enthusiastics, we love this game and the time we spent together playing this gem ❤
I always liked how there were certain cars such at the Ford gt40 or Opel calibra exclusive to being earnt through gt mode only. Gave the career a great sense of accomplishment
GT4 made me forget gt3 but that's where everything began...every single car represents a nostalgic moment for me...definitely need to repair my ps2...gt3,toca 3,gt4,motogp and tourist trophy have waited enough

Even though the Oreca Viper GTS-R was always my personal favorite, 17:27 is by far the best looking car in the game. I mean look at that, can you believe that this was rendered real-time on a PS2 with 50fps in 2000/2001?
The autobacs apex mr-s was a small, but strong, endurance race car. kinda like the new beetle cup, it really was a powerhouse of engineering, performance, and technique on the track.
I'm beginning to consider that they need to remastere this game. And with some new tracks and a cockpit view. An Scape mode, decals and suit livery. Pretty much like GT Sport but with more cars and unique cars.

I haven’t played this since I was a kid, but how do you get to play as the cars at the very end of the GT list like the Esperante? I always wanted to try those ones out, and could never figure out how to use them in arcade mode
Is the handling bar broken? It looks the same for each car. The TVR Speed 12(one of the most difficult cars to drive) has a same handling stat as a JGTC car, which also shares its handling stats with a Daihatsu Storia(a pedestrian 4-door automobile). What happened?

787B Was my worst nightmare. Then I bought the escudo, max upgraded it, and bashed that monster into the grass at 275 mph.
lol, i managed to hit 282mph with the Escudo.

Even far better than the 2022 game of Gran Turismo 7 which only focused on online for saving progress.

My way to pass the boredom in "money" races, was to bump the slowest car along and make it finish 2nd while I pull ahead at the last second.

I think you have to unlock them in GT mode, but idk because that's the way it works in GT4, not sure thoygh
