      Sometimes I feed a pad into a phaser then send it to a ping pong delay, trippy af, but the heavy tremolo gives it rhythm, I am doing that today.

    Using multiple synth pedals in a couple parallel chains would probably be really cool. Basically makes your guitar into a two oscillator synth.

    • @CyberattackWorld
      @CyberattackWorld  2 місяці тому +6

      yes that would be bananas. but it's worth noting that the C4 synth can already do this by itself, with the multiple-voices feature.

      A separate dry output for this is really helpful, so long as you have something to mix them back together later or two amps or whatever. The Behringer BSY600 (a clone of the BOSS SYB-5) has two outputs (wet and dry) as well as an EXP jack. Some good sounds in it, some very ugly sounds in it, tracks badly and if you feed it a drum machine it goes nuts! My personal favourite experiment involved putting in chords, letting the monophonic BSY600 try and pick a note out, and sending the dry signal to the EHX Attack/decay with a long attack of for a swelling chord into a big delay.

    • @andymellor9056
      @andymellor9056 День тому +1

      I've recently got a monophonic Subdecay Pixelwave pedal and I was thinking a similar thought, but to have a guitar with 3x seperate 2-pole cigar box pickups each going to a seperate output & then to it's own monophonic synth pedal, before being re- combined by an EHX tri-parallel mixer.

    i forgot to thank you for the tips you're giving all the time. i started to approach pedals from your perspective, pushing them to the limit and finding glitches and the first pedal i tried it with was attack/decay. it blew my socks off. i managed to get many different pedals out of it. all types of swell and pluck, tremolo, bit crusher, different fuzzes and god knows what. what's great about the pedal is that it gives you 3 preset bank + the setup you dial on the physical knobs. and no bloody digital display, thank god. you really taught me how to explore. thank you!

    "Develop an ear for when a bullshis is going to be useable" - this is such a versatile advice, applicable to all things music. I've been doing similar thing where, while listening to music, I am trying to single out sounds or presets that would sound like bullshit, if taken out of the context of the song.

    Great video! The attack decay is the most underrated pedal out there in my opinion. My secret sauce is using a delay in the fx Loop, set to totally oscillate with feedback - tame it with the blend and decay knob. Also try a pitch shifter or arpegiator into a fully wet reverb back into the return

  • @Desirsar
    @Desirsar 2 місяці тому

    C4 tracks "too well" compared to other synth pedals I have, but sloppy playing seems to have less effect than harmonics. I just EQ out the highs and tracking is much better on things like the Data Corrupter, but you can definitely still make them glitch, and you can get a lot more unique sounds out of them, somewhat consistently, just by messing with the tracking rather than the settings. Only just picked up the C4, though, I have a lot more experimenting to do with that...

    About the tracking errors, you should try with a bass. Errors everywhere.

    Plugging pedals directly into interface works for me..but what am I missing here? Are amp sims just eq and reverb? what else are they doing?

      Amp sims can also add distortion and change the way your notes bloom into the distortion, and also affect onset of your notes and the onset of different frequencies within your notes

    How can I get the funky guitar sound (rhythm guitar) from the song of the attack decay? Thanks.

      That was just my guitar going into the Strymon Iridium (an amp in pedal form) with no other effects. A lot of times a compressor also makes clean funky guitar tones sound better though.

    Do you have a system for documenting your signal chain and settings?
    Im running into an issue where I go back and listen to sketches that I create, and have no idea how I got there.
    Like most things, I have a feeling this comes down to discipline and good work habits. I think i just answered my own question…
