Glad to see your injuries did not stop you from making cool stuff for the universe! That eye immediately reminds me of Ralphie shooting his eye out on A Christmas Story.
Major props for using the RTG to make something interesting. I put major effort into trying to track one down on eBay in the early 2000s, but they just never came up. All I really wanted to do was try it for myself. Then UA-cam launched and I actually finally heard one… it felt like I’d dodged a bullet. Since then, I’ve always written RTG off as a gimmick. It just goes to show that any instrument in the right hands can be inspired, even if it’s not inspiring to everyone.
I always describe your channel to my friends as "a synthesist in a guitarist's body" so I think it's super cool that you're branching out! Honestly I'd love to see what you could do with a more non traditional synth like one of Arturia's freaks or even an elektron box. Love the video!
The RTG segment took me on such a journey! You hooked me with humour and (seemingly) unrealistic expectations, and then delivered such a joyfully virtuoso, musical, and characterful performance that I was laughing out of delight rather than at the Advanced (TM) concept.
Amazed, amazing. Loved the moment I realised it was a Guns N Roses riff in that second tip. I'll have to go dig out the record again later. now! I absolutely love your relentless creativity.
Haha, I’m the 420th like. I love what you do, and as long as you do too, I hope you keep going and continue creating. Your advice is always so good, the animations are sweet, and the music is often the best part.
4:34 that urban sunset 3d scene with a bright light Chun-Li dancing was sooo beautiful!😮 that looked like taken from a dusty drive file folder called „Ian Hubert- my early projects“. Amazing 🫠🫶🏻 And the melody fits perfectly to this.
Nice. Now I want an OP-1, but that's not going to happen. Use what I got. I fed the Bitquest into the SL-2 and was lost for quite a while. With the filter algorithm and the self-oscillation going on the Bitquest it's like having a whole extra set of sound controls for the SL-2. Great fun, just watch the levels. You may blow some things up.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain... This is the keystone to the Cyberattack sound. We found it. I feel like Im going to need to claim this on my tax return this year.
Great video. I think the random tone generator idea really works. Unrelatedly, I grew up in Edgewater. Your accent reminds me of the guys I grew up with. I always look forward to one of these.
I got the rtg after watching an old video of yours with it controlling the moogerfooger ring modulator. I mainly use it with time stretching effects but it can also can be used( not with all pedals and not always successfully)in the expression/ cv in of pedals to randomly affect the assigned parameter.
I use the random pitch shift capabilities in the Hologram Dream Sequence in place of standard modulation. With a BMP circuit, the fuzz peaks in just enough to satify the metalhead in me when playing anything else. Great content, always gets my brain thinking in different ways.
This channel is beyond inspiring. Ever consider doing a video on the line 6 dl4 mk2? I make that thing do some crazy stuff and would be curious to see your take on it
So good as always! Got to get myself a side step! I have to hold myself back from the randomness constantly. Red panda tensor with the random knob I could add to everything I do 😂. Also the hx stomp tremolo set to random wave shape gets fun. Looking forward to the new album coming out!
I always enjoy the synth or rather sound variations on familiar tunes as it’s a real treat to recognize/identify the song/theme/melody being played. The “Estranged “ one was a real jam here! Btw on affiliate links, are those for specific items ie the link is specific to the product that I have to buy for you to get the affiliate link money or is it true that if I start shopping the site after clicking the link that you’d still get a cut off those other items purchased. Apparently ive been under a rock the past decade or so and not privy to all these details. Hope all is well in NJ/NYC
thanks for the comment, glad you caught the GnR song. About the affiliate links, my understanding is that you're right. In other words, if you click any single affiliate link, it will put a cookie in your browser, and I'll end up getting a commission on whatever you end up buying from that store while the cookie is in the browser, regardless of whether you purchase the particular item that was linked in the first place. If you clear your cookies, or click someone else's affiliate link and get their cookie to replace mine, I would also lose the commission. Thanks again for the comment.
I dig the op-1 sequence in 5 but once you set the arpeggiator to ‘random’ the sequence loses a bit of it’s 5ness. I can tell music comes naturally to you and you explain things well
Thanks for the comment. I agree it loses some of the 5ness but having the extra note in the pool of random candidates that it draws from does sound cooler than when it's just 4 notes.
🔥🔥🔥 knowledge.. cant thank u enough for all these launch points.. apparently i have been mind-fd w my randomness my whole Life (till now 🤟🏻) Appreciate you Be easy
@ I won a pack of them playing in an NBA Jam competition at Blockbuster video in Newcastle, England. If I remember correctly, Donkey Kong was the week after and I won a few more. I believe it was that massive, global videogame contest.
LOL my true feeling is that I like it, not gonna sell it. The reverb alone is cool and on its minimum decay time it does a stereo spread thing that I like and feels a little room-ish. The random vibrato is also important to me for the reason I describe in this video.

Cyberattack needs to learn how to Cyberdefend
You should see the other guy!
Somebody call CISA!
Your channel is what pushed me out of endlessly watching production tutorials and actually just making music. Thank you very much! ❤
Gear vs clones of gear videos also got a LOT less interesting after you get into this thing hey
" this first trick is the most subtle..." Proceeds to give away the key behind the Cyberattack sound.
Infinite juice -Random arpeggio, slow as possible, release maxed, microcosm on any setting all the way wet.
The music in the video was fantastic. I've been on chemotherapy and got an infection this was a joy to hear and see the animation
Thank ypu
thanks for the comment, hope you get well soon.
@CyberattackWorld thank you have a wonderful weekend

The day cyberattack uploads a new video is a happy day
Yeeeeeah, our rock star wearin that shiner like a Ziggy Stardust badasssssssssssssssss
Amazed, amazing.
Loved the moment I realised it was a Guns N Roses riff in that second tip. I'll have to go dig out the record again later. now!

thanks man, glad you recognized the Guns n Roses thing
Best Cyberattack "5 Ways" to date. Truly awesome.
Haha, I’m the 420th like. I love what you do, and as long as you do too, I hope you keep going and continue creating. Your advice is always so good, the animations are sweet, and the music is often the best part.
love the power of randomness thanks man! your creativity is well appreciated
I really liked the random tone generator pedal solo
4:34 that urban sunset 3d scene with a bright light Chun-Li dancing was sooo beautiful!😮 that looked like taken from a dusty drive file folder called „Ian Hubert- my early projects“. Amazing 🫠🫶🏻 And the melody fits perfectly to this.
Best thing I watched on the tubes all week. Excellent tips, can't wait to get back to music making.
Holy crap! Estranged!
Glad you caught that
thanks that was just driving me nuts...i just stopped the vid to hum till i figured it out SLASH🎉🎉🎉
Came here for Estranged as well! Was driving me nuts until it came to me. 5:16

the start of the random generator solo reminded me of doo woop by lauryn hill !
correct
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain... This is the keystone to the Cyberattack sound. We found it. I feel like Im going to need to claim this on my tax return this year.
Anything less than a black eye ... is weakness.
really good
I'm 100% with you on that RTG solo. Loved it
That Estranged version bro, fuckin awesome
SO NOBODY EVER TOLD YOU BABY HOW IT WAS GONNA BE
Great video. I think the random tone generator idea really works.
Unrelatedly, I grew up in Edgewater. Your accent reminds me of the guys I grew up with. I always look forward to one of these.
Oh nice I grew up in Leonia
Then you’re familiar with the river rats from edgewater. 😂
FWIW i never called your people that
Love this stuff. Almost all of the things I post have randomness in it somewhere. Sometimes it sounds cool, sometimes it a mess. But it’s fun!
I got the rtg after watching an old video of yours with it controlling the moogerfooger ring modulator. I mainly use it with time stretching effects but it can also can be used( not with all pedals and not always successfully)in the expression/ cv in of pedals to randomly affect the assigned parameter.
That sounds rad
5:29 MOTHER!! Great game
i always knew this game as Earthbound but yes good eye
I use the random pitch shift capabilities in the Hologram Dream Sequence in place of standard modulation. With a BMP circuit, the fuzz peaks in just enough to satify the metalhead in me when playing anything else.
Great content, always gets my brain thinking in different ways.
we must all confront the metalhead inside
This channel is beyond inspiring. Ever consider doing a video on the line 6 dl4 mk2?

At this point I'd chop off a finger to get a Sidestep pedal.
Sick video and the outro! Happy birthday!
Cyberattack is Jack's smirking revenge.

New month - new Cyberattack 👊😎
Thanks so much !! As always, your videos are full of creativity.
I think they could successfully rebrand the RTG as "Jazz for Dummies Pedal". :)
Mr. Attack, have you seen Phil Tippett's Mad God? Something tells me you'd enjoy it, especially the soundtrack/sound design
no but thanks for putting it on my radar
When you're playing the random tone generator it had some of the same quality as trying to "play" feedback loops
Cool .. Randomness is always fun to explore !!
Very subtle jawdropping stuff goin on
New shit has come to light
I dig the op-1 sequence in 5 but once you set the arpeggiator to ‘random’ the sequence loses a bit of it’s 5ness. I can tell music comes naturally to you and you explain things well

Great drums on track 3! Happy birthday I
lol thank you
also the drumming was from Ted Poor, incredible performance
Awww yeah my favorite button is always random and then wrestle with it
All super musical!
It’s not a cyberattack video without the sidestep set to random
lol correct
🔥🔥🔥 knowledge.. cant thank u enough for all these launch points.. apparently i have been mind-fd w my randomness my whole Life (till now 🤟🏻)
Appreciate you
Be easy
Definitely hearing that unpleasant EHX random tone speaking the truth . Btw
Keep being risky! You he RNG was also like a scratch vinyl method
Toe jam and Earl money sample
Love when people recognize that
Rtg jam is dope
That 1995 Marvel Metal card brought back memories ❤
I’m really glad
@ I won a pack of them playing in an NBA Jam competition at Blockbuster video in Newcastle, England.
If I remember correctly, Donkey Kong was the week after and I won a few more.
I believe it was that massive, global videogame contest.
@@chrisegonmusic that's the coolest thing i've ever heard
@ when I was typing it out I was really aware of how made up it sounded haha.
Good times.
i believed
The RTG solo was 100% not bullshit.
Or maybe 99% not bullshit. Either way, it was great.
As the stone cold assassin who sold a big sky Mx, what are your true feelings about the Vongon ultrasheer?
LOL my true feeling is that I like it, not gonna sell it. The reverb alone is cool and on its minimum decay time it does a stereo spread thing that I like and feels a little room-ish. The random vibrato is also important to me for the reason I describe in this video.
Woah you getting into 500 series units now Ivan?
What action figures are used in the videos?
Is that a "Computer Liebe" quotation in example 2?
I don’t know what that is
I’m just curious, have u listens to fleshwater? What do u think of them and the way they use pedals
Morning + cyberattack + coffee = 🕊️🏳️
The Dinky Order. 😂
Your random arpeggio example reminds me of the group Hooray for Earth. Sounds dope, man!
Is it me or was the random tone generator immediately speaking Italian?
Always appreciate your videos, Ivan! Cheers from a fellow creator. ;-)
So the black eye wasn’t enough motivation to record your “bad side?”
makes the good side even more good
It's not your thing, but I would add Harmony Bloom vst, it's a wonderful random midi note generator.
that sounds cool
Next time let your sparring partner know about learning your camera angle. That way they know not to hit you on that side.
no special pleading, this is the life I chose
@ protect yourself at all times!
oh we're early early
So this guy is Mitch Hedberg right?
GNR never sounded so good.
Well, yeah, they sounded better, but they don't sound so good any more.
