I'm Norwegian and took my Norwegian dad to that Norwegian coffee shop for brown cheese in Tokyo in May! We were really impressed by their food, super authentic, almost better than in Norway. It's nice to hear you're happy in Tokyo, Chris. Can't wait to read the book.

1:21:28 Man, it is definitely tough to get the proposal correct. We went on vacation to Maine, Mt Desert Island, and my idea was to propose at Otter Cliffs in Acadia. We start walking Ocean Path trail from Sand Beach and about half way through, my parents and wife were getting tired and I'm trying to keep them pushing on. We turn back and just drive to the cliff as I try to iterate its really important to see it. My mom is a photographer on the side so I wanted to make sure she had enough space left on her memory card but here she is, taking pictures of a sea gull while I'm trying to give her subtle hints... thankfully she had enough space to get some pictures but it felt like everything was going to go wrong.
I love when Chris is on Trash Taste. He brings such good energy and the conversation is always a blast to listen to. Loved hearing the engagement stories and can't wait to see the intense trailer for Taken for Garnted 🤣 such a great episode.
Recently I did get some "Fish and chips" locally. The restaurant took the name literally - they delivered me grilled fish (no breading) with a side of american chips (brittish crisps). Amazing how you can be both right and horribly wrong at the same time.
I know it was a sort of dunking moment, but reading the chapters out loud from Chris' book made me actually interested in what he could possibly tell the world opening each chapter with such names.

You’re so much more than a UA-camr, Chris. I think by explaining your life and journey first, and UA-cam last is the key. You moved your life to Japan, learnt the language and have accomplished so much. You should express that to people in person that do not know of your UA-cam channel. That’s what you did to get to where you are today and the following and success you have after all… the only difference was it being in front of a camera and being posted on this platform. You would have the same effect of respect and interest if you do the same in person without mentioning UA-cam. After all, UA-cam was your tool, it does not define you. It’s your life that gives the story.
To my ear, "chilly" is to Chile as "kiyodo" is to Kyoto. When I moved to the mainland US from Hawaii, I was about 10 years old and it was the first time I heard Japanese words and names being pronounced *like that*. My teacher was excitedly telling me about her adventures in "kiyodo" after I told her my mom had just moved back to the US from Japan, and it took me a few minutes to figure out where "kiyodo" was. It was worse than hearing my non-Japanese cousin tell me she liked "Top Raymen". Chilly-ness aside, British pronunciation of tapas ("tap-ass") never fails to make me giggle. 😹

As someone that had two concussions back in 2021 due to separate accidents, it does stick with you over time. - I get awful debilitating migraines and brain fog sometimes. Thats coupled with the spinal issues from the second accident, but the doctors said the concussions didn't help.
Chris just fits so well into the TT constellation, sharing interests and characteristics with the boys while bringing his own unique stuff into the mix :D

As someone that had two concussions back in 2021 due to separate accidents, it does stick with you over time. - I get awful debilitating migraines and brain fog sometimes. Thats coupled with the spinal issues from the second accident, but the doctors said the concussions didn't help.
Chris just fits so well into the TT constellation, sharing interests and characteristics with the boys while bringing his own unique stuff into the mix :D
