I've lost all of the hope of learning english is too impossible to learn too much complicated tooooo muchhhhh😢
It doesn't have to be perfect.
In the US there's doctors and other professionals who speak worse english than Giovanna.
Here in italy no one can speaks english it's rare finding someone that can speaks english well@@BattleForTheHotel
It's concerning to see the mistakes made by Giovana, especially considering her role as an English teacher. Hopefully, she can find assistance in learning authentic Native American English, either through professional instruction or by seeking corrections from reliable sources like this channel. Accuracy in language instruction is crucial for effective learning and communication.
Hi Kevin and Liza!! I appreciate your videos and content 🤩🤩 Would you mind explaining when and when not to use THAT?
"Orange juice" is tough to say (for me)
I think that the people of english' tongue don't understand how difficult is english for us
Teacher we nee mdore words words
I studied English in Russia and I can notice 99% of this lady's mistakes. I'm really glad we were taught so well (better than people trying to make money selling English courses online 🙂).
re u from russia?
Sorry lm meant to say have fantastic time everyone is watching this video right now my bring doesn't work today lm lm worn out today
7:48 "you can consider using two ex-precious" 😂
Gonna= going to?
Yes
12:43 can I say "...in a response..." instead of "..as a response..."?
In the description of her UA-cam channel, it's written: ".. many important vocabularies" which is incorrect I guess
It's ok. You can look it up in any good on-line dictionary.
I think she forgot to update her bio because she's Brazilian and before teaching English full time, she also explained Portuguese grammar, so, vocabularies wouldn't be wrong since she showed both English and Portuguese lexicon, but, in the current state of things it'd be technically incorrect because she focused 100% in English and got rid of Portuguese
@@jansoltes971 Is it? I don't know, but I think it sounds more natural to say "important vocabulary".
12:31 *still* Стыл?
My advice to your critics is to follow your example in stopping fake teachers, instead of wasting their time criticizing you because the Internet has become full of ungrammatical teaching. You alone cannot cover the entire Internet to search for errors resulting from false teaching. Thank you anyway.
I'm not playing Devil's advocate here but in her defense, this is one of the first videos she posted on UA-cam a couple of years ago and since then, she's improved a lot with her grammatical accuracy, she still makes mistakes ofc but not as gruesome as Marina's or Arianitta's
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
And she's so expressive too!
She deserves a pat on the shoulder for her efforts.😊
Marina M. is bad - no question about that - but if we continue
to love truth and justice, we can't call her mistakes "gruesome". Let's call them
"gross" in the worst case.:)
She not only makes a lot of mistakes but also makes blunders and howlers. I'm not sure where you got that her English is better than Ariannita's. That's not true.
@@andreirublev8118 I think the correct expression is "pat on the back".
@@Andrew21219 yeah 👍
Giovana is a native english speaker?
9:15 *at the moment* [MOH] + [MUHNT] Móy•мент
I'm sure she's ruining English language on purpose
This teacher should really close her channel as she keeps teaching incorrectly, plus It Is not right she gain money from so many people and UA-cam to teach incorrectly!
The sounds in "orange" and "juice" are identical represented by /dʒ/ in the IPA. Even when you are correcting you are making the same sound so I don't see your point.
First of all, she said "aran-juice". So basically, she didn't pronounce the last syllable of oranGE, and also she didn't pronounced correctly the first syllable of ORange. Furthermore, if you're talking about IPA, yes, it's ˈɔːr.ɪndʒ but don't forget the rule that says that if you have a consonant between two consonants you drop that consonant, so, basically you drop the "d" and it becomes "ɔːr.ɪnʒ." In other words, what she said was: "ɑ:r.ɪn dʒoos" but it should be "ɔːr.ɪnʒ dʒuːs".
@@Andrew21219 I'm not sure what you mean by consonant dropping and how it applies in this context. The [dʒ] sound is not a consonant cluster, it's a single sound, just like [ʒ] , even though it's represented by two symbols. As for her pronunciation, yes she did mispronounce the vowel but Kevin is wrong when he says the word "orange" should be pronounced with the ʒ sound. You can check any dictionary, British or American, or listen to native speakers and see that the standard pronunciation of this word is with the [dʒ] sound. "ɔːr.ɪnʒ" is probably a variant in his regional accent that he is generalizing from.
@@jealousdoctor628 the point is that she did not only mispronounce the first vowel but also she didn't pronounce the final consonant of the word orange. I've just checked on Youglish. Everyone pronounces "orange" and then "juice". It's not like people say "oran juice." In fact, she said "aran juice" which means two mispronounciations. So, the correction is spot on.
Well, surprisingly they tell you practically the same thing with “Changed” /tʃeɪndʒd/, when in reality natives pronounce it as /tʃeɪnʒd/.
@@ItsBilly. Which natives? I've never seen any native speakers who pronounce it that way. Maybe a small number of them do. A small number of them also say "expecially" instead of "especially" but it would be ridiculuous for them to go out and say that it is the standard pronunciation.
