So far, all youtube videos and written tutorials explain how to calculate Standard deviation. None of them really explained the benefit of using it. 1- All of them talked about the definition " A standard deviation (or σ) is a measure of how dispersed the data is in relation to the mean. Low standard deviation means data are clustered around the mean, and high standard deviation indicates data are more spread out". Fine, I know how far the Standard deviation is from the mean. then what? All students know how to calculate it, but they don't know how to apply it in real life to fix a real problem.
