I got this machine now and it's great. The machine is accurate for cutting pavers. Since my wet cut brickcutter was inaccessible I used the Stihl for paving cuts.

Ok I'm interested. What's the battery life, weight & suggested dealership price? I prefer petrol driven and hydraulic saws myself... Leaning heavily towards hydraulics because that's where the real power is!

Oh I just went on the site for information it shows you are chasing using the vacuum but can you also chase wet? Well if you are cutting out door opening and go to full depth. As a comparison the Husqvarna electric wet cut saw uses not much water while chasing or for openings. Im wondering for brick if you can get aways with less water or it would be advisable to run heaps of water. Spray back on the Husqvarna is minimal is it same for the stihl?

How many times can you sharpen a chain with your sharpener?

In order to be able to provide you with a specific answer we would need to see the chain from your STIHL Chainsaw in order to be able to determine the condition, the amount of wear and the amount of metal removed when sharpened. Sometimes a chain can be sharpened up to 10 times before needing replacement. We do strongly recommend to visit your local authorized dealer in order to have a look at the chain for you!

How would the 230 do with stone patio grout removal?
Hello! The TSA 230 is ideal for cutting roofing tiles, bricks, metal and paving blocks. The cut-off machine may only be used for cutting.
Gas is still superior to this toy

The STIHL TSA 230 is a cut-off machine that is made to cut reinforcement steel mesh, stone and pipes - intended for wet cutting.

If you want to cut wood, we recommend using a chainsaw.

Its all good inside but how dose it do outside and how dose it handle on site with dust, water, dirt ect as all cut off saws need cleaned a like the idar of a cut off saw inside but more leaning towards hydrolik as i can use them on a mini digger or backhoe loader

Wow I just heard of this machine now this morning while making enquiries about a electric wet cut saw. Say for instance I want to wall chase for services like plumbing can it be set to a depth also if I want to cut a new door opening I know the depth is 70mm I can come from either end on a single leaf wall. Can you adjust cutting depth and I see it runs on wheels. Has it got a reference point mark so you can cut accurately along a line for instance you like to cut for new opening.
