This video was wonderful! I am not mechanically inclined and struggle with this kind of stuff, but was able to take the links out easily to make the band fit perfectly, on the first try and without frustration or a struggle. I measured my wrist and added a little leeway, and it worked on my first try. Thank you!
I almost let these comments stop me from buying this watch band, but it honestly was the easiest thing to do and I even had to add back one link because I made it too tight. Don’t let this deter you if you want this band! Just follow the arrows on the band so that the pin comes out that way, and you’ll be golden!
On the back of the watch has arrows. I didn’t see that until push the pin in the opposite direction. Now I can’t get to pin out or back in. What can I do?
Great tutorial! My band is a different brand from amazon but works the same. Thanks for keeping it short and sweet but still enough info to include necessary tips!
My watch and fell off because the pin came out of the connection link to the watch. Are the extra pins long enough to replace that pin? How do I do it since it doesn’t fit in the mechanism to replace the normal pins?
I couldn’t remove the pin -after it was almost out. Both times it got stuck. As such the pin going back in was a little crooked and now half is in, half is out. Any suggestions for how to remove the crooked pin and reattach two two parts properly?
I bought a universal Apple Watch kit. The band comes with the smaller 38/40/41 mm latch and I need to change it to the larger 42/44/45 mm latch. How do I do that?
Doing this is actually the most intuitive and easiest thing in the world, but I came here with a question: is it true that this kind of pins (mostly used in metal watch bands) have a tendency to rapidly get loose and fall off with obvious consequences?
I’m not sure about how quickly these pins get loose & fall off, but I’ve had this band for about 2yrs and the pins never got loose. I broke my band by getting my hand stuck between some plastic bins and pulled it apart. I love this band so much, I purchased another one. I’m pretty active and have taken this watch in the ocean multiple times & never experienced this band breaking. I actually want to get a bunch of them in different style/colors for back up. They’re pretty durable. Hope this helps
This was not easy for me and after an hour of trying to remove a link I got one pin out but can’t get any more. I tried to return this watch band but once you remove one link, they will not accept returns. I do not recommend anyone buys this if you do not want to deal with this issue. First and last time buying anything from Machete.
The tool that came with my metal band from Amazon broke well it’s plastic and bent thank god I was able to use it still somehow by hand to remove the pins but stabbed my finger in the process
If this woman’s voice wasn’t so calming I would have given up. Pin wouldn’t line up correctly to screw back in - lots of finagling to get it to work. Super frustrating.
You need to roll the watch over when putting it back in. The pin hole isn’t dead center. So you need to orient the watch band so that the hole is lower end pointing down (same as where it is when you’re taking it out).
Hours of my life I want back. What you fail to cover is what to do when you push the pin out the wrong direction. I've lot parts everywhere and I want to gas the whole thing. So frustrated.
woot! works for quince band, too. i put off resizing for almost six months. took me five minutes once i sat down to do it. CLASSIC.

Works like a charm - just make sure to follow the arrows - you want the pin to come out on the arrow side NOT the opposite!
Great video, usually I would get my hubby to fix stuff like this and I can say I did it myself. thanks
Thank you for sharing this video with us, I was able to resize my watch ❤
Thank you much for taking time to record this video. Made the process so much easier 🙏🏽

You show how to take the pin out well, but you flipping the watch... not showing the arrows in putting back in. Which way does the pin go?

Awesome help… thank you!!!
I did not see the part of the video about not going to far up and accidentally pushed out ones without arrows is there a way to fix it
My watch band didn’t come with a sizing tool! What should I do?
My watch and fell off because the pin came out of the connection link to the watch. Are the extra pins long enough to replace that pin? How do I do it since it doesn’t fit in the mechanism to replace the normal pins?
I started undoing links without watching this video. How do you push the pin back in if you don’t want to remove that link?

How to change the end caps?
I just tried to remove my links. I removed one and then the device came out of the black base and it will not go back in now. What do you suggest?
The pin head keeps splitting open and will not go back in. Any suggestions?
I bought a universal Apple Watch kit. The band comes with the smaller 38/40/41 mm latch and I need to change it to the larger 42/44/45 mm latch. How do I do that?
What do you do when you can’t line up the pin and you think you screwed the pin the wrong way😢
The pin came out from the end links, what do I do!?
It won’t let me pull the pins out they are completely stuck. What do I do?

Is the tool supposed to come with the watch band?

Wish I would have know not to remove the last link until the middle of the tutorial
First pin came out, the others won’t push out
Help pls

About .4 inches!
The tool that came with my metal band from Amazon broke well it’s plastic and bent thank god I was able to use it still somehow by hand to remove the pins but stabbed my finger in the process

I have holes all over the watch now as it doesn’t correctly line up to the pin hole
Her voice is literally the WORST!
Same here! Sheesh

Hi! Any tips for how to handle being between links? I tried removing 1 more but can’t snap shut, but the band is a little too loose as is.
I have the same question
I have the same problem. Can you help?

I am not having any luck at all ..pin is not poking out at all.
This is impossible.
