Okay...I remember back when Desmond had this song on his Evolution of Boy Bands video, part one. It was half of the first verse and the chorus. This just blew my mind away! I don't know anyone else who is recreating classic R&B songs like this for a contemporary audiences. Seriously, in my personal opinion, Desmond is knocking it out of the park with these classic song covers. I would love to see what he could do with a Michael Jackson song. If he did, a few joints I could see him getting down on are You Rock My World, The Lady in My Life, and Chicago (off of the Xscape album). Anyone else agree? Aside from that all of you did an amazing job with this track!
@Marcus Recasner I absolutely agree. I'm not really a huge fan of MJ covers cause most just don't sing his songs well. But I absolutely believe he would sing MJ songs beautifully
I agree, Desmond is doing something unique and innovative with these 90s R&B covers! MJ would be cool. Other 80s R&B I would love to see redone by Desmond: Shalamar (this is for the lover in you), DeBarge (I like it), Luther Vandross (Here and Now), Babyface (When can I see you, Whip appeal). Shoot, I’m old.

@@lachlancarter3504 I'm one hundred percent positive he could do a Michael Jackson song justice. I know almost everyone does a cover or tribute to Michael Jackson which could be considered clique. However I think what would make a Desmond rendition special, depending on the song, is how he arranges it. If he told a ballad The Lady in My Life and has some of his friends with him it would be amazing. Or if took a song like Rock With You and made it sound very modern with his production style, it would pop off like crazy. That's something I'd love to see, maybe even a medley of classic Michael Jackson hits. There's so much potential for what's possible!
