The stories of Miya Tansen and Mishri Singh’s duets are still very popular among music enthusiasts. We have many recordings of Ustad Zia Mohiuddin Dagar and Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar online today. Continuing the tradition, Here is the first ever Veena-Vani Jugalbandi performed completely by women. It’s very important to learn from the same Gurus to achieve this feat, hence the entire credit goes to our Gurus. I believe this is an important advancement in keeping the tradition alive.

The gearhead in me sees the Rudra Veena with a much improved fret board. Nice ! A little more air in the dand couldn't hurt either. The AKG C411 contact mic is great to see in action. Not many of this type can handle the signal without clipping, especially on an instrument like Rudra Veena. Nice performance. I'm counting the taal as 2-2-3. Is this a 7 beat or 14 beat taal ???

Not Rupak taal.. Teevra taal.. both them have same devision. But rupak goes khali-tali -tali and teevra has no khali in it.
