Why not bring Alf back? It would be a new and refreshing thing compared to what's on tv these days. Alf doesn't age and he still has the razor wit...would be sucessful.
'razor wit' -- lovely. That's the expression I was missing to define someone as smart and sharp as this guy is (I'm not an English speaker, at least not a native one)
What a refreshing few minutes ! Alf is still one of the best wholesome comedy produced. The skill level to execute a non human no cgi comedy main character is just out of this world.
Please, bring ALF back. The character is intact. It´s gonna be hard finding another family though. The Tanners were gold.PD:RIP Max Wright (best actor on the show).
I still remember the ALF Promo: "ALF Lands in three days!" He's at a press conference and the reporter asks: "What is your background?" ALF turns around and replies: "Looks like a Blue Curtain to me!" 🤣🤣
I got ALF, Season 1 on DVD. My 6 year old loves it. When I was his age and watching ALF, I never thought I would be sitting down with kids of my own and watching it when I was older.
I just watched (in June 2023) this because I have binge watched Alf on HBO. Unlike pretty much everything else from the 80s, which is so outdated and not funny anymore, Alf completely holds water and I thought it was hilarious. It's pretty much all due to Paul Fusco's brilliance as the voice of Alf, but what does that matter. It is brilliant. And I see he has still got every bit of that wit intact. How awesome!
The Alf's voice from USA it's similar to from Brazil, but i prefer the brazilian voice. The Alf voice actor died today, July 27, 2021, he was a great actor and he dubbed scooby and Popeye. Orlando Drummond was his name.
We seriuosly need ALF back on our TV. Anachronistic, anarchic, brute, in your face comedy, which never crosses the line to be just silly and dumb. I'm here still watching ALF after 30 years in a dubbed version and there are so many wise and straight true statements in that show that you will never be not amazed how amazing that show was. Some people just see a stupid puppet show with some human actors in it but there were so many inspiring moments in that show, I give you one example. It's free translation from my language so don't mind if it isn't exact script. Willy: there are no criminals in this area (90's northern LA, well, well) ALF: Yeah, right. And they can't come to this area in their own cars, right? (talking about the Mob, who probably have all the means in the world to go whereever they like).
I love love Alf!! 🥰 I was a grown ass 21year old woman back in the 80's walking around with an Alf stuff animal! Lol I didn't care what people were thinking!❤
You're right. Paul Fusco is still alive. Fusco created, voiced and operated the Alf puppet. Meszaro was only Alf when they needed the character to run away from the scene.
This interview aired on my late great father's would be 61st bday he died at the start of 2004 the year the show came out on DVD I have good memories of my dad and I watching ALF back in the late 80s will cherish all things related to this great character forever more got me a stuffed doll of him & a comic book which featured him loved the part where they both checked each other's pectoral muscles bet she got the better deal each decade is different I know but thanks to Trump for bringing back 80s as POTUS #45 I for one was way too young during The Reagan Years born in 1981 will be 36yrs old this July 20th
I believe it was announced last August (2012) that ALF could be on his way to the big screen, which is sure to be good news for loyal ALF fans... myself included. Sony has reportedly acquired film rights, with Smurfs producer Jordan Kerner to produce new ALF movie. Tom Patchett and Paul Fusco will be involved, and Fusco as ALF's voice. Hope we'll be learning more in the weeks and months ahead... and hope we'll be seeing puppet version of ALF, and not just a CGI hybrid.
That was one funny comedy. My favorite episode was when Alf got drunk. He ran to for the bathroom stating that: "And now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to drive the porcelain bus." Sounds of being sick could be heard. At the end of the third heave, he says, "I don't remember eating that!" I laughed so hard I couldn't even breath. Years later, I watched the episode again. That 30 second part had been removed. Never could figure out why.
lol Been there done that, don't want to do that again.....although I never commented on having eaten unidentified food, I'm just glad that I survived the ordeals at the porcelain motel!!!!!
It's been a little over 4 years since Sony announced it had acquired film rights to ALF, and tapped The Smurfs producer Jordan Kerner for the project, along with Paul Fusco and Tom Patchett also involved. I've waited years for this. Hope that the ALF movie project hasn't stalled... unless Sony is unable to continue, I would hope that maybe Warner Bros., Universal, or Paramount would be interested in getting ALF off the ground.
In the 80s ALF was considered the worst of the worst by the kind of people who condemn any show with puppets without ever watching it. Fortunately I've been on the Muppet train since the Muppets happened, so I'm vaccinated. I loved ALF. I'd tell others the show was great and they'd just snort. But the show was great. Apparently not so great to work on, unfortunately, but it was funny and incisive and is still worth watching all these years later.
Paul's inspiration for ALF came from a plush alien doll he bought at a second hand store in the early 1980's which he modified into a puppet from my understanding.
I’m convinced that Alf is a actual real living creature
Just like Kermit the frog.

Bring Alf back. The guy that does him is funnier than 99% of the crap on TV today.
There is no guy who does him. Alf is real! 💯

no he isn't. The creator of Alf who also did his voice is still alive.
Luke Armitage Alf was a puppet from the chest up. Only If Alf's full body had to be shot, did Michu get into the costume.
Bardock awww Poor Michu! I missed him
Bring alf back that would be good .
I watched ALF religiously... I loved the show... I still have my ALF stuffed animal, and I even had the ALF tent!!!
My alf stuffed toy ,was taken away from me and was given to my shitty brat cousin 😠😠😭😭😭.

That was a shiv and I loved it.
Come back, Alf!!
I LOVE YOU ALF!!! Come back...Please!!!!
"I used to have a woman come in and vacuum me twice a week" lmao
For me Alf - is the best sitcom ever.
WTF? That's it? They drag ALF out of retirement and give him a minute and a half of airtime?
90 seconds with Her .... not bad at all!!
It probably took about 3 hours to film it
I loved it he Alf shows as a kid❤
He's still got it!
I love Alf...I wish it would come back to TV.

But it’s all gone - Alf, the 80’s and 90’s .... the good old times
ALF you THE man.
*What happened to Alf's reboot?*
Sad part is, Alf could get laid easier than I could..and hes an alien (well a puppet)
He's actually a real person in a suit
He just went into a coma unfortunately
he was only a person in a suit for a few very short scenes in the first season. otherwise, he was a puppet.

I wonder if Alf is still being voiced by 80s voice actor. 🤔
Yes Paul Fusco is still the voice and puppeteer for ALF.
Sadly Michu Meszaros who was in the suit for full body shots pass away.

In season 1 Alf’s voice was deep then in the future seasons of the sitcom his voice was louder and less deep

Always loved that program, shame that Max Wright didn’t like doing the show. But ………

I get the impression that he would be offended by the thought of he being a puppet. He's a very independent ALF.
This puppet looks different than the one from the actual show. His snout looks more rubber/plastic here.
YES ABSOLUTELY 💯
Probably a new puppet. The older ones are probably worn out.
You just gotta love the guy
