In the 80s, I saw an episode featuring Michu. At one point, Michu warns Letterman not to mess with him "because Michu has been around". A shame UA-cam doesn't have this gem. The kind of thing that made the old Letterman show worth watching.
Aww this was so nice to see :) My parents are acquaintances with his manager, Michu was spending time with a closer family friend of ours and he came over our house a few times. We are Hungarian also. I just remember my grandmother had Alzheimer's and she saw him walking in the backyard by himself (taking in the view) and she grabbed his hand and said, "Where is this little boys parents?! He's going to get lost!" Poor guy, he couldn't explain it to her... This was years after this show, he was 60 something.
Don Giller Their comment is from six months ago, so it isn't related to the current articles claiming he died in December, as it was written prior to them.
No joke, I saw the Barnum and Bailey circus in Cleveland one year and Michu was there along with what I’m pretty sure was the world’s tallest man. He was awesome.
My Hungarian parents took us to the circus and afterwards called Mishu over. He was good friends with a guy with us, Tibor. I remember Mishu had a mouth on him and loved women. Saw him at a couple parties through the years.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it below so I'll mention it--he was on the cover (and back cover) of The Doors' "Strange Days" album (which I think was shot in Paris). That album was 1967 or 1968.
Michu Mizaros, realmente fue grande ese hombre dejo un gran legado artistico circense y llego a la cuspide con ALF mi serie favorita, la de un ambiente familiar ideal...G.A.D.U lo tenga en su gloria .:.
Dave was very good at having two conversations at the same time. He knows this whole thing is hilarious and the straighter he plays it the funnier it is.
I didn't know that this little man was in the costume, but of course they synchronized it with another voice. I would like to know how he felt about it. I guess it has been a slap in his face that they did it. I mean it could have been possible to take his original voice and his accent because he was from Melmak in the story we all know
ALF was primarily a puppet, not a costume. The puppeteer and voice was and is Paul Fusco. Michu was only the full body ALF, only the brief scenes where ALF is walking across the room or something. 99% of the time ALF was a puppet.
Incredible little human being the circus gave him an opportunity to use his size to give him a purpose in life pity he died it seems broke and not been able to get a proper burial .
@@Mrd9960 Great comment! Some people respond with nervous laughter at/in awkward or unusual situations. He appeared a little (no pun intended) annoyed! I had met Michu a few times. I'm a 2nd generation circus clown.
This is pitiful. Poor guy. Had to work in a freak show to survive. Also, the Ringling Brothers days of torturing elephants are over. The Greatest Show on Earth’ was anything, but.
It's a shame that Ringling Brothers is no longer in business, but I guess that this new generation didn't care for old fashioned entertainment like the older generations.
I guess you must of missed this decade of gain in political correctness and empathy for both animals and also the outcasts and less-advantaged, that were once considered nothing more than side-show freaks. A circus could never exist in this day and age.
@@hahna77 The circus IN GENERAL has been not only very cruel to its animals but also to the human entertainers. There's a dark side to it. Reminds me of Disneyland where everything is so supposedly beautiful on the outside but unbelievably dark on the inside.
Let's explain to the folks at home who Michu was.
Oh my god...call me when you’re done...
you know who he wasnt? you guessed it, Frank Stallone
Oh, oh...don't do this, don't do this!
Hahahaha im watching that super dave episode again, that's why im here
Hahaha
We'll miss this little man as many known him for playing in the ALF costume.
Of snap. Totally forgot that
And I thought that Bob Einstein had made up Michu for that joke on Norm's podcast.
Absolutely hard to believe...SuperDave Bob was spot on.
He made up the fact he didn't speak english
Will always remember him as alf.. great guy
He lived till 76 so pretty good 👍

This was his only appearance on Letterman.
Are you thinking of Ed Sullivan maybe?
I loved it when he told the audience off. Respect is key👍

Holy shit! The band played “Miss You” with guest Michu .... genius!
You are probably the only person that got that besides me!
I'll always remember him as Hans the butler from Waxwork.
Classic, I was surprised to find it on Amazon prime video.
I loved him in that movie
Amen
He terrified me in that movie.
Welcome to the waxwork. Great movie
RIP Michu
No, he passed this last June.

My response was to a recent comment that the poster has since deleted.
The post was written by a Virtuvian Mind, who wrote on December 29, 2016, "He just died. 29/12/16."
Ah, my bad!
God bless his little soul

I know him from the cover of the Doors album called--Strange Days.
OlfTheTerrible oh shit that’s him?
Wow!
Its not the same person the doors hired twin dwarf actors not michu.
Wasn’t Michu also in a James bond movie or was that waxwork?🤨
I saw him at Madison Square Garden in 1977, in Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus. It was billed as the Marriage of Michu.
sad day, such a great man
Well I don't think that "great" is the right word
he played alf but lived a full life :)
Миху Великий маленький человек. Царство ему небесное.
I'm five years late but thanks for posting!
This is pretty touching and Letterman showed him much more respect than he did with, say, Paris Hilton.
Well this guy actually did stuff and entertained people.
@@LeoWhalen1933 The best comment in five years!

When I was a kid I had a poster of Michu and Juliana on the occasion of their wedding. I don't know why.

Michu was in an álbum of the doors called strange days
The Michu movement!! Such a fan

I saw him at the circus in Boston.

If they ever do a reboot , it be great if they had Anne Sherridene , Alison (the gal who played the daughter) and Ben Gregory do guest cameos.

Who's Linda Hunt?
Ouch
I thought subtitles would make it easier to understand, but they're pathetic. It must be automated.
hes awesome.

A Jewish circus owner is weird? No way.
I agree. Very creepy.
