This game is literally why I wanted a Gamecube in the first place, but was swiftly forgotten after I got Metroid Prime. Better late than never to return to it.

@@AlienFan25doesn't Portal 2 have online on the Switch? And L4D2 had split screen on the X360, so that wouldn't be completely out of question for the Switch either.

Almost every game from that era is re-released. The only thing left is the unreleased but completed Rogue Leaders from Factor 5 or at a minimum just Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike.
We need a new Jedi Knight game!
I am still waiting for "Star Wars: Clone Wars" from the Nintendo GameCube. The local multiplayer was great!
The sucky thing is Factor 5's been long dead. Which sucks, I enjoyed Rogue Leader and their Turrican games.

Glad Bounty Hunter has return for the Nintendo Switch. Now we need all three Star Wars Rogue Squadron and Attack of the Clones games to make a return. Hopefully, we will get those very soon.
Don't forget Battle for Naboo, AKA Rogue Squadron TPM-style. Not to mention Starfighter and Jedi Starfighter, which PS2 and Xbox got instead of the Rogue Squadron sequels.

Do you mean Attack of the Clones on the GBA, which as far as I know was weirdly the only tie in game that released for that film? I bought it because I was in Star Wars hype at the time but it was absolute garbage so no thanks

Unfortunately I have a feeling the rights to those are tied up between Nintendo and whoever owns the assets of the former iteration of Factor 5. I'd absolutely love if Aspyr proved me wrong though.

One of my Childhood favs on Gamecube! I remember thinking the CGI cutscenes looked photo-realistic back then!

@@lulukomadori9651 Republic commando has a game breaking glitch where you can't turn the camera to the right. It's been there since launch and hasn't been fixed, making it unplayable. I had to buy the Xbox version and play through backwards compat. Glad I did as the game was a lot of fun.

Elements are at least canon and referenced in the Mandalorian. Namely Jaster Mereel being the one who took Jango in as a foundling and his name being part of Boba’s chain code. Also Mando’s first ship looking a lot like the one Jango starts off with in Bounty Hunter which he also inherited from Jaster.

it's really sad when one remembers that through the 90s star wars games were truly some of the best video games that were developed at the time. they took pride in what they did and what they released. they were fans of video games, of star wars and not just fans of money.

I love that we're getting all of these classic Star Wars games from about 20 years ago but we're missing a few. Switch has Force Unleashed but not the sequel. Racer but not Racer Revenge. Dark Forces, Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Academy but not Jedi Knight. I hope we get all those too.
After Aspyr's complete failure in rereleasing the early Battlefront games in a good state I'm surprised they still have a contract for porting Star Wars games.
I still own my original copy so I'm good, but I'm glad that this is being released again.
Hope the re-release is done well so more people will be able to experience this game. Jango Fett is genuinely the best character in Star Wars and the story of this game is partially why.
As a Gamecube owner , I would love to play Racer Revenge on the Switch.
This was the first PS2 game I owned. Very nostalgic feeling here!!!
I remember being so excited about this game when it was announced for the GameCube around the time episode 2 came out but it ended up not living up to its ambitious promise so I never played it in the end, maybe I’ll see whether I was right or not to skip it. What I would really love is a Rogue Leader HD remaster though

@@chrumak8085 There's a bug in the game that seemingly randomly breaks the camera, snapping it straight up or down and preventing you from turning it in a direction until you "unwind" it. Given that it's a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER, suddenly having a broken neck is unacceptable.

@@chipperripper0896 It happens seemingly at random when turning the camera. If there is a known reason it's triggered, the player base doesn't know it. The only solid thing we can guess is that (just like the single-speed eight-directional movement) it's an artifact of shoddily porting over the PC version and the virtual mouse the stick is mapped to overflowing. I play mostly on a Pro Controller if that means anything, but I think I have triggered it on the Switch Lite.

@@kinglift5611 You’re overthinking it broski I just saw a mandorian and thought about 1313 because I forgot Bounty Hunter even existed because it’s a fairly forgettable Star Wars game and beside this is the same company that shadow dropped that their next big console will 100% be coming out next year on a tweet on some random account like last week
Upon seeing this, at first I thought it was an original title, but I had a feeling it was a re-release. Then I instantly thought, "Wait, this reminds me of shadows of the empire. Should we be getting a remaster, re-release or remake of that as well?"
Then I came across the comments section and was reminded that Rogue squadron had yet to be re-released anywhere. Perhaps a collection of all of those games would be optimal. Call it the Rogue collection or whatever. Just bring them all back.

I recently finished Star Wars Republic Commando on the switch now I’m definitely going to give this game a try.
This game seemed so complete back when I played a a kid, like a living world almost.
This looks like a Clone Wars episode. I LOVE IT!
It's a sin this game never got a sequel. Loved this one so much back in the day.
I still hold out hope for the Rogue Sqaudron rereleases.

It's a port of a PS2/GameCube game. Just because they re-released it on modern platforms doesn't mean it's canon.

I am just shocked that we have yet gotten Rogue Squadron. Fans have been screaming from the mountain tops. But there is that Wii Remaster of the GCN games sitting somewhere in a closet at Lacas Arts. As a huge SW Rogue Squadron fan, I would love for the four games, to include Battle for Naboo to get a remaster touch up and make them available. Clean. Smooth. AND SEXY!!!!!!!

I thought this was the Hunters game, but instead blast from the past. I wish they would remake the Dreamcast Jedi game that was co op. It was such fun time
