- Scully-Bailey, battle of former top amateurs...at one time Bailey was # 1 in the USA at 156 pounds...known as a VERY strong guy, I was not all that enthused about fighting him to tell the truth LOL...
Man, that was some good fighting just rippin' those shots to the body and the uppercuts. Wow! Wonderful to watch.
Thank you, J! I appreciate your words
One of my favorite fights, definitely!!
Tearing UP the body!! You look so young bro, I loved the staredown, I could feel your intensity...would love to see as many pro fights as you have to show us!! Thanks...
I used to pretend to be in a staredown like that when I was a kid watching boxing..VERY COOL TO ACTUALLY END UP IN ONE ON NATIONAL TV!!! .
Thanks for the upload Brother
John: This was a excellent example you demonstrated of the style of "boxer-puncher." So many fighters claim that style but so few can actually do it. In this fight you showed how it's done. Great work!
Thank you, my man. Some night everything just falls into place, for me that was one of those nights!,
You picked one of my good ones to watch LOL nice!!
What a tough guy! I can’t believe he survived the seventh. Such a great clinic. Head movement. Rolling shoulders. Stance changes (which I usually hate seeing guys do). Uppercuts to the body that woulda dropped me like a bad habit. Two guys just refusing to quit. Best of all it was on USA!!!
Fonz had been sparring SIMON BROWN to prepare for this fight so he was ready! I respected him (still do) a lot going into that fight, I knew he was going to be a tough one for sure!
Also, being interviewed by Sean O' Grady was TRULY awesome!!
I never realized Scully was so technically sound. Those precision rights to the body were fantastic!
I REALLY appreciate ur words, Ronald J
Scully is a boxing wiz!!!
Great fight seen it in person!!!
You’re from Mass.???
I used to work with Alfonzo. He was a trip
I've chatted with him online a few times over the years. Seems like a great guy. He was a very very strong fighter
I LOVED THE STAREDOWN TOO LOL...after I saw it on video I was like, "That looks COOL!" LOL
damn ice, puttin in work from the southpaw stance!
I was always actually stronger as a southpaw...I felt more balanced and steady from that side believe it or not...
IceJohnScully was Michael Nunn the toughest guy you ever fought?
curtis jones Definitely between him and Maske in terms of who was the BEST...
Gentleman John Skully?.....what happened to Ice Man John Skully?
My manager when I first turned pro wanted me to have a clean image...nice guy...the Gentleman...
Nice body punches by Scully👍😃
Thank you, Big!
