No, be aggressive! Put that fence right up to the line! Make them go to all the trouble of PROVING in court with a survey, etc. that you crossed the line.

Love the string SWI sells, can also go to Mr fence tools and they have the marker cable and equalizer tool to equally split your remainder sections, so you don’t have to measure out every section. SWI should offer a marker cable with a nice reel like their string 👍 Another great Job Dan as always have a great dang day 💪

I would personally use a long-range laser level with a receiver to get a perfect line.

Question : I have septic drain lines in back yard where I want to put a fence across the yard. What is the best way to locate the drain lines to avoid where the post holes will go ?

I’ve never installed a fence, but I’ve repaired a few. Let me explain what you did wrong. 😂 This was helpful. I’m going to put in a high tensile in a few days, thanks for the edumacation!

Would a laser not be better in this situation or are they not made for outdoors? And secondly, a 3 foot masonry bit would be great to see if the spot has a rock. Save on cutting but like you said. Spend more time mapping out

I use a garden hose instead of string. No wind blow or grass deflection. (Hey, good idea!)

If it works for you--awesome! 👍🏻 I don't love the sound of carrying around that much hose, though.

@@SWiFence Yeah, take it from me. Carrying around a big hose is a real chore.
(Hey, we're talking about garden hoses, right?)

Fellers… y’all need to put a warning on these videos. Had I known there was gonna be math involved, I’d have brought my calculator.
I was caught totally unaware… especially when you threw that gazenta at me. Surely y’all don’t expect an Ozark country boy to be able to cipher an 8-gazenta right offen the top of his noggin…. Do ya?
To yer credit… you did remember yer calculator and I made it through… but, had I had a warning, I could have ciphered right along side y’all.
Please think about audience participation next time so we can become fully immersed in the complete fan boy experience!
Warnings and disclaimers such as “WARNING - THIS MATERIAL CONTAINS MATH” can go a long way toward reducing anxiety and enhancing the FAN experience!
