I was on a long fast just hanging out with the LORD and writing in my journal when I asked Jesus what He wanted to listen too. He replied, "The Love That Knows No Bounds". I looked it up and Rich Mullins popped up and the anointing of his worship flooded my room and I've loved his music since. Boy does Jesus have a good taste of music or what?!?! God Bless you all in His LOVE AND GRACE.

I listen to a lot of different music, but I always come back to Rich. When I need to slow down and get in a mental posture before God, his music always helps me. My biggest take away from rich's life was his relationship with God. It took me a while to learn what unconditional love really means, but when I grasped the concept, it was ultimately freeing. I could write a novel about the emotions and thoughts I feel from his music and life. I don't think any Christian really means to fall into the trap of being comfortable. It's just our nature. And yet, Rich looked more alive and content than most other Christians I know today. I don't think he meant to be an example, but he certainly is. What a guy...

Always challenging us to dig deeper, trust wholly, live more fully the life of faith. Rich, thanks again for your example of offering ourselves to Jesus. Jesus, thank you for life!
Beautiful quote of Rich Mullins copied from Purposeful Singleness website. Rich said: “Jesus said, ‘Whatever you do to the least of these my brothers, you’ve done it to me.’ And this is what I’ve come to think. That if I want to identify fully with Jesus Christ, who I claim to be my Savior and Lord, the best way that I can do that is to identify with the poor. This I know will go against the teachings of all the popular evangelical preachers, but they’re just wrong. They’re not bad, they’re just wrong. Christianity is not about building an absolutely secure little niche in the world where you can live with your perfect little wife and your perfect little children in your beautiful little house where you have no gays or minority groups anywhere near you. Christianity is about learning to love like Jesus loved and Jesus loved the poor and Jesus loved the broken.”
*He was an alcoholic. The Bible says all drunkards will not inherit the Kingdom of God* He was a great singer....full of BS with his Christian beliefs. Great guy....other than his beliefs that the Bible is the true word of God. The Bible has over 1000 contridictions. Be sober minded...then why drink any alcohol...if even a little will not keep your mind sober.
Paul also told Timothy to “take a little wine for your stomach” but you are right every Christian is a low-down hopeless sack of contradicting horse manure of which I am the biggest. In fact, the Bible doesn’t just call drunkards hopeless but also the rich, the poor, the porn addict, the perfectionist… “all have sinned and fall short” I’m sure you know it says. I think that’s why I love the Bible because it is filled with stories of the worst of us doing horrible awful things and yet it is a story of God’s never failing always and forever love: the reckless raging fury they call the love of God. So, I’m sorry if it’s let you down somehow. But I’ve found it to be the most human and divine words I’ve ever read which sounds a lot like Jesus and a lot like us. “So, of all the religions in the world, if you want one that makes sense, I’d try anything else, but if you want one that gives life: I think you’ll find it right here.”
I'm guessing you are basing this on the ragamuffin movie. Keep in mind that movie is not a documentary. I do know he drank i don't know that he struggled with it. If he did no one ever said so. I don't know that his brother was even that close to him and he seemd to be the main source of information for the movie. I also think Brennan just based a lot of his information on his own experiences with alcohol. There was a lot of guessing in that movie. They leave out several important parts of his life including serving in Missions in Korea and China. His closest friend Beaker is not in the movie at all, they tried to recreate him with several fictitious characters. His college roommate and his father, and the young man that traveled with him were all made up people who tried to replace Beaker, who for whatever reason refused to be part in any of the tributes, movies and stories after his passing. I'm sure Rich had struggles that were sure of, he said as much quite often. But don't we all? I've yet to meet a perfect human.
@jamesreese4170 Like me and most other people, we don't have a problem if he was an alcoholic or addicted to pornography Or anything else. The point is, if somebody's a christian, they're not supposed to be in those kind of sins that lead you to hell Or simply put, they will be headed to hell. The bible says. The bible doesn't say if you're a good person or play good music, you're the exception so you can go to heaven. Can you get a free pass on these sins. Anyway, I don't believe the true god is that hateful and unforgiving, and that demonic that he's going to take somebody and burn them in hell every day and night for eternity, four suffering from something like alcoholism that anybody can or from eating too much food which is called.Gluttony. Sorry for the typos, but I am using voice recognition while I drive. It's all the best and thanks for that good.Info
@@godrulesme8619 sin is sin. Public or not. One sin no matter how small it is, is enough to send one to hell. Your theology is quite off. Throughout the Bible there are story after story of God using broken people to do His work. Moses lost his temper more than once and took credit for Gods work, Noah got drunk and embarrassed his kids which cursed one of them. Joseph was prideful. David slept with a married woman and had her husband killed. Paul was a murderer. Sinners are saved by grace. No one earns their way into heaven by not committing certain what we consider more shameful sins. David was considered a man after Gods own heart, but made mistake after mistake while he was alive. What said David apart is he owned up to his mistakes and asked forgiveness and was greatly blessed. Perfect is a measure we put on ourselves. Gods love for us is far more simple. The sadducees and Pharisees of Jesus time are perfect examples of this. These guys were holy, they looked the part, dressed the part, acted the part. They did everything the way it’s supposed to be done publicly but completely missed the point. Jesus called them broods of vipers. He called them hypocrites. They gave to be noticed but ignored mercy and grace. They were outwardly holy but inwardly full of greed and self indulgence. So who is worse in Gods eyes the sinner who admits he’s a sinner and makes mistakes but keeps serving the lord not shy about saying he struggles but is loved. Or the one who lives acts and looks holy but it’s all fake? Jesse surrounded himself with people just like Rich, the disciples were a ragtag group of average guys who made many mistakes. so I think I know how he would answer.
@jamesreese4170 You make absolutely no sense and obviously love to lie. Anyone who reads the entire Bible knows there is plenty of verses that show clearly all drunkards will not inherit the Kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God
